Howdy Texas! I generally avoid Austin as much as I can due to the traffic, but I do occasionally stop by a friends house in Round Rock on my way home from the Hill Country. :)

Me. I would get it fixed. Young's Body shop does solid work. My wife has had a two accidents in the not so distant past, neither one her fault. Both time Young's was the place the car was taken to.

As other have stated thanks for keeping us in the loop. I too will keep you in my prayers. Please take care of yourself, body, mind and soul.

It is a small world when it come to the military, anyway. I was a 20 year Squid and my retirement was at a Marine command, HMT-303. I didn't have a big dog and pony show. For me I just wanted to have the smallest, minimal process and be on my way. Ding and I met through motorcycles. I know him as Ding and his family long before I knew he was a Marine Gunner. Then my last tour I end up at Camp Pen at HMT-303. Lo and behold two others that I have ridden with and only barely know as fellow military were also stationed there. LOL So at my little ceremony along comes CWO Dailey and family. I had been to his house and played with his kids and till that moment I didn't know his rank.

Yes, a very good movie. I have a buddy from Dubois, WY. He had just retired from the USMC when they started scouting the place to film. I don't think Ding was in the movie, but I know he worked with them and the local VFW. Ding was a 24 or 25 year CWO3 at his retirement.

Is she leaving you with a freezer full of lumpia? Can I come over after she is gone? I can bring my own banana sauce. :)

It said "Sick inside-Let them Die" or something to that effect

I too was surprised that it came out this early. It will be interesting on how Eugene conducts himself from here on out. He may still have some skills that could help.

I wasn't going to pipe in on this but, alas my mouth and thoughts are over riding my common sense. I retired from the Navy in 05 with 20 years of service. Any Sailor that serves more than a few years knows full well what is required to reached retirement and get benefits. This dude served in Teams and worked his way to DevGru. I am having a hard time believing he is dumb enough to think the Navy/DOD is going to pay him without serving the required time. Just my $0.02. -
LOL In my opinion common sense became uncommon in the Navy in the early 90's. I was an E-5 and ORM, operation risk management was being pushed down our throat.

Bersa, You, sir, are trying to make sense of this situation. As such the thought police will be arriving at your door in the very near future.

We too got the stupid messages about AMC possibly being dropped. A few minutes later Direct TV put their own commercial up saying that AMC is contractually obligated to continue to be aired on Direct TV through this season. As far as the show went, it tended to be a bit slow and tedious but I was glad to finally learn about Beth's situation. And the end when they wheeled in Carol unconscious my interest was peeked. :) Beth is coming into her own and with Carol they will make short work of the crew running rough shod ever the hospital.

Upcoming interview with the SEAL who popped Bin Laden

No truer words have ever been spoken. :) -
I have zero knowledge of the Shun knives, I do and have had Wusthof. They would serve you well. These days I have the Chinese Hinkle and they are a bit flimsy but hold up fairly well.

Sadly Chuck nailed it. I am not, nor have I ever been a SEAL, went to BUDS or tried to pass myself off as a SEAL. With that said when I was at SERE we worked pretty closely with the West Coast Teams and I became friends with a few of them. With that said in the 90's you wouldn't know a person on the street was a SEAL unless you knew him or were at a particular bar in Coronado. Back in July I was out in San Diego for a friends retirement from the Navy. I was shuttling his family back and forth and had to take his wife by Balboa. I dropped her off and drove around in the parking lot waiting for her to get what she needed. I see a SEAL LT (0-3) walking through the parking lot in khakis. I watch him get into a blue Jeep with the license plate that read BUDS and his class number. My heart sank a bit, but that prompted me to reach out to some of my old friends to ask them to smack the crap out of that LT. LOL The one I looked hardest for is trying very hard not to be found. His OPSEC is better than my Google-fu. I do know his rank, command and job. Due to that I have been cautious about reaching out. -
Which is a mild form of Korean Kimchi.

What I have left in the fridge is a few pieces that I will have for lunch today. I will probably have some mandu (stuffed dumplings) with it since I will be too lazy to cook rice. However in a week or two I will make it again and let you know. It is also getting to close to the time I should make bulgogi again. :)
-
Actually I am from around here and I am also round. :) However after 20 years in the Navy my palate has changed a bit. Kimchi is much like our Southern Chow Chow, but its spicier. Come on up here to Cleveland one day, as I have dak gui (Korean BBQ chicken) and kimchi in the fridge right now that I cooked late last week.
-
Kimchi and tabasco? :) Well that's what I do, some times sriracha.

Excellent point, Bersa.

This is cool and all but isn't it PJ Corp policy that employee's not be armed? Having a hard to jumping on that bandwagon.

One thing that does bother me about these recent events, not once has Maggie asked about Beth-her sister. Seems rather odd to me.
