There is nothing wrong with Bushmaster rifles. I have 2. I would get it at that price with the ammo.

Upper/lower and rail combos always look good.

Gwinn (5.56x45mm) Rifle (I have never seen this before)

Looks a lot like the old Bushmaster arm pistol/rifle. -
I was working at TGI when we were importing the VEPRs hot and heavy. I bought a 16" v2. I put US made AK buttstock and pistol grip and fore end on it. I love it. Call SGM Tactical in Maryville, Tn and see if they have anymore. They can probably put you on the right track for one. I like the 20" barreled version. Just prefer the 16" more.

I live near WW and have been in their shop. They will fix it. But like has been suggested, try original Bulgarian mags first. I had a Tapco that came with my first '74, it was hit or miss on wether it wanted to function on a certain day or not. Invested in Bulgarian mags and never had a problem again.
-
That would be killer!! I almost picked up the STG44-22 that was at the gun shop on Alcoa Hwy near UT a few weeks ago. The missus would have given me a horizontal buttstroke with it.

Yep. And buying 7.62x39 from J&G Sales for $70 per 1000rd case, delivered. That tells on you too.

That makes it a dissipator length then. That will ahve a rifle size gas port. The pressure curve will have dropped off considerably. The port on dissipators and 20" barrels both are right about .068" I believe. I don't have my spec book. It's at home. He still shouldn't have to drill out the gas port. Just a change in buffer will suffice. The problem s still the weaker steel cased ammo. If it eats the good brass cased ammo and the only problem he has is one particular brand of steel case, avoid the steel case stuff. Cheaper doesn't neccesarily a good thing. I tried it in 2 of my rifles. It's inaccurate as hell. Q3131A and M193 are accurate. Well, my handloads are much more so. I save money and get better accuracy.
-
Do not, I repeat, do not open your gas port! Overgassing an AR is the worst thing you can do. You just have a weight problem. If running a heavier carrier, lighten your buffer.

OP. I worked at TGI for some time. We got in a lot of Saigas that needed warranty work. Lots of rifles had the proplem like your rifle has. Just switch out the trigger/hammer spring for a new one. Will clear it right up. You won't have to switch out any FCG components. The leg of that spring just wants to go in that direction. Bending it will just be a temporary fix. Eventually it will do it again. If you are in E. Tenn, call TGI. That a bunch of new AK trigger/hammer springs.

I bought a Marlin 1894S in 44 Mag from a co-worker when I was working at Barrett. Got it for $100. But that was sometime around '94 or so. Still have it and it's one of my favorites.

Wow. I was thinking of selling my '26 Mosin and a crate of Polish light ball on strippers.

an Interesting Mosin find 1943 Hex

The '41 Tula is the desirable rifle. There were very limited rifles built that year. I worked at an importer for quite a while. We received 10s of 1000s of 91/30s in just the last few years. When we would uncrate to engrave the import mark, we would look for the '41 Tula's. They won't be hex receivered either. When the war started, round receivers were the order of the day. Much easier to manufacture. And usually cruder looking. -
You can find them at Springfield Sporters also.

Always confirm your zero at extended range, if using the 50/200, zero at 50. But confirm your impact at 200.
-
You could also try WaffenWerks in Knoxville. They are sometimes really busy, then times are lean and will take work. Try them and see.

I built up a 9mm AR and love it. Handled a DDLES built up 9mm AR. Their lowers are the cats meow. Wish they would have had them out when I built my mine up.

If you are thinking about Blackthorne AR's, look inside

And to think they actually put out a 50 BMG rifle at one time. Who in their right mind would get behind that? -
I know. We are off on a tangent now.

Send your rifle to Jim Fuller to get fixed. You will get it back with a much lighter wallet and WEEKS later. If I wanted a true beauty queen AK, I would send it to Jim Fuller to have it built, he does fantastic work. Seen some Krinks done by him. They are really nice. But to fix a canted sight on a rattle battle? Whack that damn sight tower and call it done, and knock the pins back in. Re-zero and drive on.
-
I believe APEX has correct stocks for those.
-
After all the hub bub, just knock out the 2 pins holding the front sigth block on, use dead blow mallet to knock the front sight tower to top dead center and re-install pins. That is what Arsenal is going to do. That is what any AK "fix it" shop is going to do. Seen it happen with my own eyes. You will be surprised at the little amount of movement will do to your point of impact. Just don't hit the front sight ears. Hit it near the base of the tower.

Brand new Serbu BF50 bolt gun can be had from Serbu in the $2200 range I believe. Yep, standard rifle is that price. It's a single shot.

I have one of the old 44mag carbines. I love that rifle. Have had it since '82 or so. Bought a Marlin 1894S lever gun to go with it some years ago.
