  1. Well if they do that, then I'll not bow hunt, and will ML hunt on my own property. Will buy the H & F licesne & the BG tag. Then agin I may just hunt my own place altoghter and tell 'em to pound sand. Feel sorry for those who don't own their own land.
  2. Took this little guy yesterday with a Ruger Vaquero 44 mag. 4.62 barrel at 20yds. Load was a 240gr. lead fp and 10.5 grs of unique. One shot right behind the front shoulder, a complete pass through. Have also used a Scoped SBH 44mag. and a 41 mag BH. the SBH I had for a few yrs. bought it with the scope already on it for $450, the 41 BH I bought before that not sure what I piad for it, but I'd say around $400, the Vaquero pictured here I just picked up about a month ago for $536 OTD.
  3. Can't help ya on the ammo much, but its a heck of a cal. I've got a pair, and I've never had to chase one thats been shot with one. Good luck in your search. Pioneer Outdoors in Bolivar Tn. may have some. Haven't been over there in a couple mons. but they usually have it.
  4. Alright I finally got something more to add. Now its nothin special, except fer the fact that I took 'em with my new to me 44 Mag. Vaquero. He came out of the woods about 50 to 60 yds. to my east, then turned and came right by me at about 20 yds. Well the 240gr. lfp & 10.5 grs. of unique knocked him right down.I think this is the same little fella that I gave a pass to last Sun. while I was huntin with my 35 Rem.
  5. Wish I were closer.
  6. JB its the way I hunt the muzzle loader season anyway. Didn't get one this year, but did see quite a few, just never got the right shot.
  7. Congrats Bersa, glad ya got your freezer full. I've only meet a few members here, all were great. I should have some extra this year if anyone in the western part should need some let me know.

  10. Colt Anaconda S&W model 57 Marlin 1894 in 41 Mag. Marlin 444P Henry, or a Marlin w/ octagon barrel 44 Mag. Nice 1911
  11. Luke thats what we use, he has one thats made like a heater. I've one in that one ground blind that I converted from the kids play house thats like a little cooker, they both just screw on those little propane bottles. Last year I took a small cast iron skillet and warmed soup and such on mine. :yum:
  12. Luke it really is.   Its 5x6, we built it on a 5x8 trailer. He's a welder, and it was made from scrap he had lyin around. The frame is 3x3 angle and has the 6" insulation they use on metal buildings, the only wood in it is the 3/4" floor. We can heat it with a small propane heater.    The pictures of the turkey that post I some pages back were taken from this house.
  13. Here you go my neighbors, but I get to hunt from it also. He took his 13 yr. old nephew this morn, a little before 8 he shot a doe at about 200 yds. and a couple mins. later took theis little 4 point at near 250 yds. Used a H&R in 243. Pretty good shootin I think.
  14. Yes prayers sent for all involved,
  15. not unless you have a cross bow upper for that TGO AR Lower! they are talkin bows here ya know?   Well what about that meeting? haven't seen an update on the subject?
  16. Hey Luke, I just remembered something. Got a friend who has been hunting with one for a couple years. I talk to him in the next couple days and see what he has to say. I know he's taken some with his.
  17. Will do. Man that is a good thing you are workin on. Good luck to you.
  18. I've been workin up some loads for my Glenfield lately. Been gettin some good results with BL-C(2), and the LEVERevolution. And the Win 748 is showin a little promise also. I'm using the Hornaday 160ftx's with the first two, and a170gr FN with the Win748. Good luck.
  19. Yes, what Garufa said. Heck, Even the different factory loads can vary.
  20. Luke this will really be my first year with it. Just got it back from being restrung. I can consistently hit targets out to 45 yds., but really would like to keep my shots to around 35, 40yds. That pic. was made Sun. which was the first time I had a chance to go.   I've got another blind that I can hunt, and a couple ladder stands also. Will try and get some photos of those some time soon.
  21. Here's a pic. from my buddys huntin house, that let me use one day last year. There wer 16 turkeys all together that day and 5 were Toms. Iwatched them come out in the field just left of the pines you see. They came straight over towards me up to about 35 yds. then turned and went off toward that last one on the right. Fifteen mins. later while the trukeys are still scratchin around in the field, 11 does come out. Well all I can say is that only 10 left.
  22. Here's another, built this one year before last, haven't taken anything from it yet. And a couple views from it.
  23. Here's one of my huntin houses, I built this as a playhouse for the kids when they were younger. Approximately 10 yrs. ago. my son was the one that painted it. It had been sitting in the back yard since then, well three years ago I put a new floor and a door, and bingo daddy'd new huntin house, aka La Casa. Here's the view out the north window which is the side of the house you see. and to the south, took this one last year while huntin.
  24. Don't care for either of Penske's drivers, and tired of Hendrick's. Hope one of the Gibb's cars, or Greg Biffle.
  25. Sounds like fun.
