  2. Caster I'm lookin fer one as we type. I have the Lyman 358315, use it for practice. Bought a couple hundred of the 35-200's from a fella over on castboolits last year. Runnin a little low. Been trying to find a used mold. But always seem to be a day late. Guess I'll have to break down and buy a new one.
  3. lol, no not fer sale. And actually its the third 35 in the collection.
  4. Here's a couple more pics. and one of a target from a day ago. The target is at 50 yds. using a 200gr. lead pill and 24.0 grs of IMR4198, in the first six shots. and the last 2 at top were 24.5 grs. Then 2 at the bottom were the first after getting it on paper then the 4 in the middle were after another slight adjustment of the rear sight.http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a203/sidinslinger/Mobile%20Uploads/20150710_094624_zpscrjt60gz.jpg~originalhttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a203/sidinslinger/Mobile%20Uploads/20150711_134216_zps7ok0kesh.jpg~originalhttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a203/sidinslinger/Mobile%20Uploads/20150710_092035_zpsrhcymco2.jpg~original
  5. Possible a couple of ya here that like an ole lever action. This a made in '74 Marlin that looks like it just arrived via time machine. And not a bad little shooter either.http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a203/sidinslinger/Mobile%20Uploads/20150710_093008_zpsutwgrlle.jpg~original
  6. Ought to do the job. I love huntin with my handguns. Taken 3 deer with 3 different handguns. Two 44's and a 41.   Good luck and congrats
  7. Welcome to the patron state of shootin stuff. Tennessee!
  8. Nice lookin revolver. I have a 1851, & a 1858. Would like to have one of those conversion cyclinders.
  9. I have a puma Rossi & a convertible bh. I love 'em both. No way I'd trade the bh, don't think they are being made any more. And you are right about Rossi not sellin you parts. And their quality of repairs of late have been poor. Luckily I've had no trouble with the Puma. I'd still consider buying another but would want to able to look it over Same goes for the Remington made Marlins, Or Remlins as they are being called.
  10. Nice rifle dats. Congrats. I've had a H001 for a long time. Great little rifle. I just picked up a used 44 mag. Big Boy a couple days ago, gonna take it out later and see how she runs. Enjoy your new Henry.
  11. Never had or used a Vortex. But I know they get good reviews. Got a couple Nikons, and love 'em. Got one Redfield its the Revolution 2x7x33. Picked it last year, put it on my Marlin 35 Rem.love it also, very clear. The Revolution is made in the USA, none of the other Redfields are. Good luck.
  12. AMEN !! But we already knew this, here.
  13. Unless ya have chickens, My neighbor is not real fond of 'em. But lately he's had more trouble with the owls.
  14. Thanks Sam. Filled out the paper work this afternoon, will pit it in mail tomorrow.
  15. Just found out that my G.G.grandfather, James M. Jones. in May of 1862 he enlisted in a independent, company called the Governor's Guard. At Nashville the company was organized as Company F, 10th Tenn. Infantry(Federal) He was a First Lt. Governor Johnson sent him to W.TN to recruit for the Federal service. In Oct. of '62, he reported to Nashville and was then commissioned First Lt. of Company G. He resigned in the spring of '63. He then moved Illinois   Some pretty cool stuff.   His great granfather was a LT. in the war of 1812.
  16. Larger thats the seven, but seems the patch was a little different. But hey its been a while since I've seen it. I'll see if I can find it.
  17. Patton, mother said he had just graduated the training, but was sent to Korea as an infantryman. Like you said maybe because he never jumped except during the training that he just never added it or wore it. Not sure, I do remember him talking about jumpin off of platform an such before they actually jumped from the planes.
  18. SWEET!
  19. ML, when he left DC he went to Fort Knox and became a training officer.AKA: Drill Sgt./ was a Master Sgt. First Class, Thats where he and my mother meet. Mother said he had the reputation as the meanest little First Sgt. in Ft. Knox. As he only stood 5'5" tall.
  20. Dol, I have several of those patches that your talking about, They are put up somewhere around here. The ones I remember are the Screamin Eagle, which may have been where he was in paratroopers school, mother said he graduated from there right before being deployed to Korea. Guess they needed good grunts worst than paratroopers. Then there's another thats actually a 7 but looks like an upside down 2. The other one that I recall at the moment is the Washington moument with a sword across it. I think that was when he was in DC after returning from Korea. After getting out of the hospital he did the tour at the ANC & the Unknown Soldier.
  21. Thanks Monkey, yes the oak leaf is silver. I do believe there was the V on the Bronze Star. The very bottom one is Republic of Korea Presidentual Unit Citation
  22. Thanks Dol, I will check that out.
  23. Yeah he caught a few pieces of lead and was bayoneted once in Korea. Pretty tough Grunt. Mom said he was nominated for a CMA but another fella in his platoon got it, but they may of been how he ended up with the Bronze Star.
  24. Thanks Omega thats it.
