  1. Sorry for your loss' Dralarms & Hipower. One of my good friends lost his dad last friday. Our prays are with you all. Nobody has the right words but as the days go by it does get easier, I lost my dad some 26 yrs. ago and I still miss him.
  2. Welcome, and thanks for your service.
  3. Lets see I got a new pair of Justin work boots(needed really bad),a book"Dead or Alive",a wallet w/25bucks. Got a fifth of Fourty Creek pretty good stuff, and 500 rds. of 9x18 for my CZ 82 that I bought for myself with the new C&R Licence that came Mon. week. Pretty good Christmas I think.
  4. Got mine today, they look good. Thanks Dave
  5. I'd say holster it and keep both hands where they can see them.
  6. Mine came in today,it looks pretty good. It is comparable to Capbryd's and Randy's. Mine is an 87 also, now to get her cleaned up so I can put some rounds down her.
  7. He probably has a smile that you couldn't remove if you wanted. Congrats to you.
  8. Nice, all I saw was afew squirrels and a big Red-Tailed Hawk. And yes it is nice to have a place to hunt. I am very lucky because I own 18 acres about a mile down the road, and the 3 hundred plus acre farm right out my back door I have premisson to hunt.
  9. Yeah I'd like to see that one.
  10. Thanks Garfua, ordered one from Midway.
  11. Ok I just got my C&R Monday, and ordered a CZ 82 today. I know that I'm suppose to keep some record of my purchases, but what type of info and where do you get the the book for the purpose? :shrug:thanks,
  12. I just ordered one myself. Now to get some ammo.
  13. Thanks, just chaked my e-mail and got one from them. Faxed a copy of my license to em, guess I'll here from them tomorrow. By the way I found one on GB with an opening bid of 169. that has not been bid on.
  14. I just got my license yesterday. I visited SOG and registered but I couldn't get to any of the firearms.
  15. Got mine yesterday, thinking about one of those CZ 82's for my first purchase.
  16. Like Joe said its coooooooold here too. Got a little dusting, but none in the attic. lol
  17. All I can find on the scope is 4x Redfield nothing else, these scopes are probably from the eightys. Actually the Bushnell is alot clearer than the Redfield, niether of these rifles have been fired since then, my father inlaw bought em and put em up. My wife said that her uncle (the original owner) killed a bear up in Alaska with one of these. If I had to guess, i would say it was the Marlin.
  18. I have been doing a little searching today. I found three that sold the past year 305, 365, and a like new one with a scope that sold last May for 475. This one has 4x redfield on it. So I'm thinking maybe around 350. :shrug:The gun is in pretty good shape the bluing has a little wear, but the wood looks good. The Marlin is nice and has a Bushnell 3x9 scope. I've been cleaning them up today and was going to take them out shoot em, but my brother called a few minutes ago and said he needed some help getting some cows up to go to the sale. So it will probably be tomorrow before I get the time. Got togo.
  19. I'm not sure what a fair price for the 170 is.

    Flag Stores

I used to order a 5x8 Confederate Flag about ever 1 1/2 years online, made in America. Can't remember what company. They were some nice flags also. They stayed up 24/7 12 mons.
  21. Today I went to my inlaws with the wife to help get Christmas decorations out of the attic. Man do they have some. Well as we are finishing my fnl says I've got something I want to look at. He pulls out this hard case and a soft rifle case. Opens them up and a Marlin 1895S 45/70 and a Savage 170 .35 Rem. Said he bought some time in the nines. They belonged to some of his inlaws, the man had pased on and no one else wanted them so he ended up with them. They both need to be cleaned up, I want to buy one or maybe both just don't know much about the 170's. I do know that the .35's are a lot hard to come by. They have both been hunted with and show signs of it. Like everything you here good and bad so I was just wanting to here what some of ya'll think about them. I don't need either of them but since when did that mater, right. So I guess let it rip.
