  1. I saw two nice deer in the back of a truck yesterday in Hardin County. I killed a decent little 8 pointer opening day, there is a picture of it in the other muzzle loader thread, think it is on the fifth page.
  2. That sounds like our house. In the back yard or back down in woods good to go, at the house sucks. I just got home from working an hunting over in Decatur Co., I didn't kill any but my friend killed one Fri. afternoon, two Sat. morning and a thrid that evening. All together they killed seven this weekend. One guy shot one this morning but they never found it.
  3. Nice little buck WD, the bow was probably a better choice over the ML if it was raining. On a side note if I had to sit through the rain I would have shot him too. I went this afternoon, quite windy, even so I saw three doe.
  4. If you do any good they got a little pic. contest in the hunting fourm.
  5. Looks like it ought to do the job right well.
  6. How about that one pic big one little. hum......sorry
  7. Here's one more pic.
  8. Thanks, yea he was pretty heavy for around here. Boy did he have an odor if you know what I mean. I say it's a two an a half year old. The one I saw Sun. looked to be about the same size. But it was only a quick look as he seen me before I seen him. lol
  9. Here's a little 8 pointer I killed Saturday morning at about 8:15. Used my TCA .54 CAL. Renagade.[/img] If I had passed on this one, somebody else around here would have taken him later on this year. I saw another one very similar to this one Sunday morning. I had gotten down and was checking out what little was left of the gut pile, and he saw me before I saw him.

    I don't have a drinking problem, I drink, I get drunk, I fall down.
  11. I have a few that I would like to get bloody this year. Not in any specific order, two rifles I got from my father in law, a Savage pump in .35 remmy, a Marlin 45-70, a new to Puma .357, and my .41 mag. Ruger BH. And some of these will have to take a doe being that we can only take 3 bucks this year, and I have already killed one Sat. with the ML. Will post picture of said deer this after noon.

They look great, and we all have to start somewhere. Nice start.
  14. Welcome aboard, and congrats on your first purchase. Ruger makes some good firearms, I don't have any experience with the SR's. But I do own a few Rugers. As was said above they can be addictive though.
