Ok guys I have had a C&R licence for a couple years now and still haven't got around to getting one of these. I know very little about what to loook for.
Any way somebody was wanting to trade one to my brother yesterday so he brought it to me. Sure I knew it was Mosin, but that was it. He said it was a sniper rifle made in '41. Now I know the sniper versions are a little more of value.
Ok, so here's my question how do you tell the difference between a plain round or hex, and a sniper? Just what makes it a sniper? This perticular rifle didn't have the scope, but i guess that it could have been taken off not sure. I looked at my SOG paper after I got home last nite and from the pics, the only difference I could see in it was the scope and that it looks like the bolts are bent. Just could be that pic.
And I know I should have one or ten by now but just haven't made the leap. Maybe after my daughter gets married next month, if there is any money left, lol, I'll pick up a couple.
Thanks
