TN CCW Defends Life Is Arrested needs help
Will Carry replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Rule #1: Put distance between you and the threat. If he had just run away. A) The attacker may have had time to cool off and stop his attack. Witnesses could have testified that you, the victim, did in fact retreat. C) He could have out run the attacker or at least found a better place to make a stand. The man did the wrong thing by brandishing his weapon. I'm sure he wishes he hadn't now. He needs a good lawyer. I'm sure you know how much money a good lawyer cost. A concealed weapon is not to protect your pride and honor. You must take pride, honor and ego out of the equation. When it comes to fightin' you gotta get plum mad dog mean. -
The Ruger Mark III is one of the best .22 pistols made. It will last forever. They are notoriuosly hard to dissassemble and even harder to reassemble. Once you learn to do it .......it's still a pain. I love mine!

Bull snorkel. You'd be all over Angelina if you had a chance. You would brag to your friends about it. You would kick Brad Pitt's ass, to get on that. I hope I have not crossed the line on this post. I know this is a family forum and I hope I haven't offended anyone.

My father took me to see Deliverance when I was just a kid. It was playing at the Center Theater and was rated "R". My dad had no idea that Ned Beatty was gonna get raped. Of the 4 guys on that canoe trip. One got killed, one got his leg broke and may loose it, the other guy got stuck with his own arrow, but that last guy was the least injured of the 4, Ned Beatty. I have never met a man who wishes he was Ned. All would rather choose one of the other 3 guys. I hate to say it but it was one of my top ten best movies ever made. Even though it's portrayal of the south was eschewed and warped, it still hit home. I think it was the sounds of the cicadas. I will say that though John Voight does have pretty lips, his daughter really has some perdy lips!!!

Arizona is a great destination. My wife and I went there last year and are planning to go back again soon. The locals are as freindly as southerners and the scenery is spectacular. There is just too much to see in a few days.

I support Arizona in their effort to deal with our illegal alien problem. I found these T-shirts on line but I ain't sure I want to spend 30 bucks for one. Which is kinda weird seeing as how I'll shoot $30 worth of ammo without even batting and eye........... Arizona T-shirts, Shirts and Custom Arizona Clothing

You will learn more about being humble as you get older. I had a shooting lesson from a 19 year old kid last week. I went from shooting 4 inch groups to shooting 2 inch groups. That kid can sure shoot.

"Are you gonna skin that smoke wagon?" If you could convince her to get a revolver to start with and then a semi-auto when she gets comfortable handling and shooting pistols, that's what I would recommend. My favorite carry gun is a S&W Chief's Special. It has a very smooth DA trigger. I carry a speed loader with me but reloading can be awkward. Good luck Get her a good'in.

It cost about as much money to join the NRA as a box of .380 ammo. I strongly encourage shooters to join and support the NRA. Without the NRA we would be like England.

Smith and Wesson model 36 3" nickel. Ruger Single Six, SS 6.5".

I'm just kidding guys! I don't mind people giving me honest opinions. I do expect a certain amount of courtesy and I try to be courteous and respectful when I make a posts. Most people on this forum do the same. I went out yesterday I shot a box of Cor-Bon Powerballs through it. Ca-ching! No failures. I shot it limp wristed, left handed, right handed, rapid fire, every way I could think of. I saved 7 rounds for carry. I still think this pistol shoots better than a Kel-Tec or an LCP. THEN, I went to every Walmart and Dicks within 25 miles of the house and did not find any .380 ammo.

Are you feeling down? Worried about loosing your job, the oil spill, terrorist attacks, Obamanomics? Then this is the movie for you. It will cheer you up........ if you can watch the whole movie without shooting yourself. I was expecting a really bad movie but it was not bad at all. It could have used a couple of Orcs but other than that I thought it was a powerfully thought provoking film.

Flash II with the Tanto blade. I use it for work and general carry. It is always on me. Great knives.

Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms. It's not for eatin', it's for looking through. Dyin' ain't much of a livin' boy. Doin' right ain't got no end. Pull Emuel Pull! I recon so.........

Thanks guys. Ya'll have pretty much burst my bubble. I will hold on to this pistol and who knows....maybe some day I will find some more .380 ammo to run through it.

That's kind of a big pistol for concealed carry. I hope she's not planning on keeping it in her purse......I suggest you get her whatever gun she wants. You can give her advice but you must let her make the final choice. The S&W Sigma 40 gets mixed reviews. I gave mine away. I have heard that carrying a gun in your purse is a bad way to carry. I don't have any personal experience with that though. My favorite Conceal Carry gun is my Smith and Wesson Chief's Special with a 3" barrel. It's old school but tried and true.

Colt Government for $750-800 plus tax. It's a good quality starter 1911 that you can pimp up to your hearts desire, or just leave as is. You will not be disappointed. There are a lot of cheaper starter 1911s out there that might be just as good as the Colt but that would be my recommendation. I own a Colt Government in stainless steel. I put a Crimson Trace grip on it. I can pick a bogger out of your nose at 25 yards in the dark with this thing. No matter what 1911 you get. Welcome to the club. It's the last gun I would sell and the first one I'd grab in a time of need.

U.S. Police Seize Guns Bound For Mexico
Will Carry replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
53 bayonets! WTF! They must have Flea Markets in Mexico. I ain't sayin' that the Mexican Druggies don't get guns from the US, since our boarder is so unsecured, but it's seems that they could get'em cheaper from Southeast Asia or South America. -
I hope you are wrong Glockmeister. My Colt 1911 had a few FTFs when I first shot it. Now it's dependable enough for carry. My Glock 36 had a few FTFs when I first bought it. Now it is dependable enough for carry. My Springfield XDm 40......same thing. All of these guns had a break in period but now don't fail. On the other hand My XD-45 was dependable out of the box and still is. My Sigma 9mm was never dependable enough for anything but a range gun. You just can not say that because a pistol has 2 FTFs, shooting cheap ammo, out of the box, that it's a bad pistol. I have shot the Sig 238. I was not impressed. With a pistol that size I see no reason to use a .380 round instead of a 9mm or even a 45ACP. My concealed carry revolvers are ultra-dependable. The real test for me is when the pistol will fire a couple of hundred rounds with no failures. IF this Diamond back will do that, then it will be in my pocket. If not then it will be another $600 lesson learned. (cost of the pistol + ammo + trouble) I can say one thing for sure this will be my first and last .380.

I just want to say I am not a big fan of mouse guns but I wanted something I could carry in the summer with my shirt tucked in, call me crazy. I went to the gun store to buy a pocket pistol. I went to look at the Ruger LCP, The Kel-Tec 3AT and the NAA Black Widow. Then the guy presented this Diamondback DB380. I compared all 4 pistols and immediately nixed the Black Widow. I really like the Black Widow but not for self defense. After handling the three remaining pistols I selected the DB380. It felt better in my hand, it breaks down just like a Glock and it has better sights. The price was a little over $325. I took it to the range today and ran 60 rounds of American Eagle through it. I had 2 FTFs out of the bunch, which isn't alarming. They suggest a break in period of 200rds or so. I have shot LCPs, 3ATs and Sig 380s and they all seem to have a lot of "snap" to them. The DB380 did not have this snap. It was very tame for such a tiny pistol. The sights actually worked pretty well, though I shot almost as good just pointing and shooting (at 15'). I really like this pistol and feel like it will serve it's intended purpose as a deep concealment gun and back up weapon. The trigger pull is looooong, but light, that is nature of the beast. It will accept Kel-Tec magazines but they don't eject as easily as the Diamondback mags.

General Von Manstein writes: There are only four types of officer. First, there are the lazy, stupid ones. Leave them alone, they do no harm… Second, there are the hard-working, intelligent ones. They make excellent staff officers, ensuring that every detail is properly considered. Third, there are the hard-working, stupid ones. These people are a menace and must be fired at once. They create irrelevant work for everybody. Finally, there are the intelligent, lazy ones. They are suited for the highest office.

Shooter's Dictionary: High and to the Left.
Will Carry replied to Will Carry's topic in General Chat
Maybe it's the glossy eyes and the spike hair cut. -
1) The results of the improper trigger pull of a right handed shooter, AKA "jerking" the trigger. 2) YOUR DAUGHTER'S BOY FRIEND! OOOOOOOHHHH!

Yeah it is a touchy subject. Their have been gay soldiers as long as their have been wars. I believe I read that Alexander the Great would let one rest.

I sat through transformers 2 and almost got up and walked out. I thought it was THE worst movie I had ever sat through. When the movie ended, all the kids in the theater stood up and cheered. Children seem to pick up things that adults miss. I did not realize that when the little transformers transform, that fire blew out of their ass.
