I mostly shoot 115 grain ammo in my G-19-4. I have shoot hundreds on rounds with zero failures. I love my Bavarian Brick! Sorry you are having problems dude.
-
Hi-Point is working on a magazine with a larger capacity. 15 or 20 rounds I think.
-
The Barvarian Brick. I own the Glock 36 and the Glock 19. Neither have ever failed, not once. I also own two Springfield XDs (Croation Crackerjack?????) . They have never failed either. Glock and Springfield make some great pistols for the money.

The Blackhawk in .357/9mm is the most versital pistol on the market. You'll like it!
-
I don't mind so much that they can't shoot straight. It's that they can't shoot safely. Always watch out for the other shooters. I have seen idiots do things that make me gringe.
-
The Glock 19 is the gold standard of handguns. That is a good deal, if the pistol checks out OK.
-
I hike unarmed......as far as you know. The SP101 would be my choice of the two.
-
Dude, I change my carry gun more than I change underwear. From a snub nosed 38, 9mm, 40, 45 acp to .357 and oh yeah the .380. I can shoot'em all.

What if it's just an interesting shaped rock? I made a museum curator mad one time asking questions. He had two ax heads. One was smooth and well made, the other was rough and hued. He said "The rough ax head is over 5000 years older than the smooth one. Their technology took that long to advance from a roughly made ax head to a smooth ax head." So I said "What if they were made at the same time? What if the smooth ax head was made by a guy who knew what he was doing and the rough ax head was made by a man who was in a hurry and didn't have time to smooth it out?" Well this got turned red and said "Because I said SO! Because I"VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 30 YEARS! If I say one ax head is 5000 years older than the other BELIEVE IT!" I don't know much about archeology....but I do know bull .

I may be the only man in the world who doesn't care at all for the Ruger 10/22 so I'm probably wrong. I would rather have a tube fed semi-auto like Remington model 60 if you like semi-autos and the Marlin model 100 if you like accurate single shots. I had a 10/22 for years but There were a few things I didn't like about it. As far as the Charger, I can't say. but the 10/22 is not really designed with the open sights in mind, I think it begs for a scope or a red dot. When I put my Marlin 100 up to my shoulder, I'm looking down the sights. When I put the 10/22 up to my shoulder I have to cock my head sideways to look down the sights. I didn't like the 10 round mags and my 10/22 would jam too much and the trigger was so tight that I would think that I left the safety on. My J.C. Higgins 103 and Marlin 100 are much more accurate than the 10/22. I hope I didn't hijack you post too bad...........

Concealed Carry Killers ?
Will Carry replied to Fourtyfive's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
There are about 30,000 people killed each year by firearms. About 290 by permit holders. That is less than 1%. -
Ya'll have about talked me in to it. I would like to see ground zero and go to the Met. Eat some good food.

Thanks Garufa! When we were in San Francisco my wife want to go to this museum that was 20 blocks away. Well I ain't never rode on a city bus. Don't know which one to get on nor how much it costs or anything. So there was this big pimp lookin' feller at the bus stop and I went over and asked him which bus to get on. Well he was smokin a doobie as big as my finger so he reaches in his wallet and hands me two bus passes. Friendly guy. Everybody in SF was freindly, cause they were all stoned! Walking down the street was like walking through a freshman dorm. The smell of pot was everywhere. There must be something wrong with me to be in a city like that and hate it so much.

I liked to have freaked out went we went to San Francisco. I was so glad to get out of that city that I wanted to kiss the ground when the plane touched down in Dixie. I don't do well in big cities. Case in point: Every street corner in San Francisco has a begger on it. You walk 3 blocks you got 4 or 5 people asking for money. I don't like that and I got really irratated so a guy final comes up and before he opens his mouth I say "I ain't giving you no money!" AND he starts cussing! I wanted to turn around and fight! I think I could've taken him down in about three seconds! A real city feller would have handled that a lot different. They are used to beggers and crowded streets. It don't bother'em I'm gonna buy my wife a ticket and take her to the airport. She's got family that will pick her up and she can stay with them for free. Yeah I married a New York Yankee. We've been married for 15 years. My Avatar is a picture I took in Daddys Creek Canyon in the Coosa Wildlife area.

I just bought a Bisley Vaquero in .357. I was hesitant because it has fixed sights but. The sights are dead on! Great fun! I bought an Old El Paso Cheyenne leather rig for it. Yippy Yi Aye Ki Yay! The Bisley has a turned down hammer spur that I like, as well as the Bisley style grip and a wide target trigger. Polished stainless with the fake Ivory. It would look good with a staghorn grip.

Tactical Response - Fighting Pistol
Will Carry replied to RobertNashville's topic in Training Discussions
I think I need to take this course. I wish I still lived in the great state of Tennessee! I'm pretty much entrenched in North Carolina now so I recon I'll have to find a class on this side of the Smokys. -
Tactical Response - Fighting Pistol
Will Carry replied to RobertNashville's topic in Training Discussions
You lucky dog you. Tell me more! What kind of pistol did you use. What kind of physical conditioning do you need? Did you get to draw and shoot? Did you get to move and shoot? Were you sore the next day? Did they yell at you like a drill sargent? I mean you and I are the same age. -
The Ruger Mark III is a "politically correct" Mark II. It has a 1) loaded chamber indicator 2) a magazine safety, so you can't shoot in without a mag. 3) a stupid key lock Mark III mags are not interchangable with Mark II mags. I have converted my Mark III to a Mark II.

We have several bills before the senate to 1) Allow concealed carry permit holders to carry in state parks and state lands 2) Allow CCP holders to carry in bars, as long as they don't drink and 3) A bill that allows CCP holders to keep a handgun at work, locked in thier cars and trucks. I personally would like it to be legal for me to carry on some of the rivers I fish on. There are people who bank fish that I don't feel safe being around. The ones who are leaving piles of trash and beer cans all over the place. This is a report from an anti-self protection news group. WRAL in Raleigh. The article is missleading in the first few paragraphs and only clarifies it later in the article. It says the law will allow people to carry concealed firearms in parks, when it should have said Concealed Carry permit holders instead of "people", which seems to imply that anyone could go packing heat into a park. And it's not really a second ammendment issue. It's everyones right to be able to protect themselves and thier families. Parks have very little in the way of LEOs and the park rangers are over worked as it is. WRAL would have you think that becuase it has a sign on it saying "PARK" that it must be a crime free zone, yet WRAL has been reporting on crimes in parks for decades. Murders, prostitution, drug deals, child molesters, gangs, the list goes on. Bill allowing concealed guns in parks, restaurants sparks debate :: WRAL.com

I bought one of those Majestic Arms stripping kits that make it easier to disassemble and reassemble. The instructions said nothing about how to reinstalled the magazine safety. The the cresent shaped part has a notch in it and that notch fits over the sear. So I took this pistol apart and put in back together so many times before I figured this out, that I don't need the Majestic Arms stipping kit. I can stip it down, clean it, and put it back together in just a few minutes now.

My XD-45 is my everyday carry gun. I fits nicely inside my pants at 3 o'clock. Never I had any failures with any ammo. I have an XDm-40 also that works the same. I carry it and leave my 1911 at the house. The price you payed was a great deal.
