It has to be a joke. There is no way you could get both triggers to go at the same time. I think it's a clever hoax, but I could be wrong. http://militarytimes.com/blogs/gearscout/2012/03/09/its-real-the-double-barrel-arsenal-1911/ OK it's not a hoax. You pull either trigger and both hammers fall. I really wouldn't buy one of these but I wouldn't mind shooting one just for chits and giggles.

You need concertina wire, razor wire. Kids will just throw a rug over barbed wire and climb it in seconds. I know.....senator Jesse Cole had a fishing pond that had 2 pound Shell Crackers and 10lb Bass. We used to climb that fence like it was nothin'...............just saying. Dogs would really help. If you got dogs, you don't need razor wire.....

Man those grips look goooood on that CZ. I recently purchased a CZ75 Sp01 and I'm love'n it. I consider the CZ to be on par with the 1911.

I really want a DB9. I have a DB380 that works great. I carry an LC9 which I really like but it's not really a true pocket pistol. The LC9 connceals well IWB, offers up 8 9mm rounds when needed and it has never failed from the first shot to around 200 so far. I am going to wait on the DB9 until I am sure they have any problems worked out. The DB9 is such a cool little pocket rocket I will have to buy one sooner or later. Diamondback customer service is excellent.

Kahr's to hit or miss to take a chance on a used one
Will Carry replied to Patton's topic in Handguns
I mean no disrespect but he asked for opinions and I gave him mine. That Kahr was not my first handgun purchase. -
If you have some time to spare check out this guys view.

I have never heard of this guy and have no reason the believe anything he says. He is not the first person to say the "sky is falling". He did use some very common tools used in making good propaganda. I say hurl...... -
Kahr's to hit or miss to take a chance on a used one
Will Carry replied to Patton's topic in Handguns
You asked for my opinion so here it is. I would not buy a Kahr at any price. They are expensive, require 200 rounds to break in (according to their own web site) and they are designed to fire 2500 rounds. That is not the reason I won't buy a Kahr.....I once bought a Kahr and it would not cycle one round without jamming. The gunshop was kind enough to take it back and I bought a Ruger LC9, which has never failed since the first shot. That being said many people love them. -

I just bought a CZ-75 SP-01. What a pistol! You are right, it is a laser. -
Slack in Ruger Mark III trigger, what can be done?
Will Carry replied to lshel's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Send it to Iowa and let Volquartsen accurize it. I sent my Mark III Hunter to them and it came back a Mark II with a 2.5lb trigger that is awesome. $45 plus S&H for the accurizing. They did a few more things for me so mine cost a little more. Call them, they have excellent customer service. -
I have one in 9mm. It's a buttugly gun but it shoots fine and is fairly accurate. The 18" barrel really accelerates the 9mm round to a decent velocity. It hits like a .357 magnum handgun round. I keep 147 grain HPs in it for home protection. It has a "lazer" on it for shooting it the dark.

Finally took the Hangun Self Defense class
Will Carry replied to Will Carry's topic in Training Discussions
I think I will take my next class with my Colt 1911 and see how I do with it. There are a lot of things I like about the 1911 that I like and I really need to train with it just in case. I tell you one thing the instructors were talking a lot of trash about Sherpa holsters. They did not ban them but they let people who brought them to the class know that they were unsafe. -
Finally took the Hangun Self Defense class
Will Carry replied to Will Carry's topic in Training Discussions
The man with the 1911 next to me pushed in the slide stop out with his right finger. The gun failed. The instructor came over and said "watch this!" and pushed it back in and it was fixed. The guy with the Kimber had his pistol fail too. I don't know what it was but last I saw he was removing the grip. A guy with an FN had his gun fail too but all of the guns were repaired and returned to service. So I guess you could say that 66% of the failures I saw were 1911s. Even though one was operator error. -
Finally took the Hangun Self Defense class

I love my 1911s and have never really been a Glock fan but yesterday was and eye opener for me. Not only the things I learned but I discovered so many things that I need to learn. The Glock 19 is the only Glock I own and one of only three 9mms I own (I like me some 45acp). I was too cheap to bring a 45 or a 40 to the class so I settled on the Glock 19. I now have a new found respect for the Glock and the 9mm round. I will be taking more training from these guys in the future. They offer a home defense class where you get some tight quarters training and they have a Defensive Handgun 2 class. -
The location of the class was at Efird's Rifle Range near Albemarle NC. It is a very picturesque location nestled up against a ridge near the Uwharrie Hills. It was family owned land that used to stock cattle. It was like shooting on your uncles farm. Ed Efird was very friendly. The training was done by Defensive Concepts NC out of Charlotte. http://defensiveconc....com/index.html . They are excellent instructors and the training they give was top notch and a heck of a lot of fun. From my martial arts experience I learned the their is no ancient secret that will enable you to fend off an attacker, it's the basics. Their training stresses gun safety and the basics people need to be able to defend themselves with a handgun against a threat. They added anecdotes from their years of experience in law enforcement and military. That was the gravy...I learned more in this class in 9 hours than I have learned in the last two years. Well worth the money and a lot of fun and good fellowship. I was surprised how tired I was after 9 hours of this training. There was no class room time, it was all done in front of targets out side. Today in Part 2 of the class they are going to teach gun retention techniques, which is critical for anyone who open carrys. There were a LOT of 1911's at the class. I got to see, first hand, how a 1911 holds up against a modern pistol. After what I saw yesterday I will wear my Glock 19 proudly and keep my 1911 in the safe with the revolvers.

I went to the indoor shootin' range today. The range officer was rather irrate. A fellow was shooting a Smith and Wesson snubby and had a squib round get stuck in the barrel. The shooter then proceded to fire two more rounds! All three bullets were stuck in the barrel. When the range officer came out to investigate the shooter swept him with his revolver (This guy hates that!). I have never heard of a tripple squib before but it is a testimate to how well this revolver was made that it did not KB. If that shooter had fired one more shot I think the gun would have blown up. The owner of the pistol asked how he was supposed to get the three bullets out of the barrel. He was told that he needed to take the gun to a gunsmith.

I like your style. Many people think they need to buy what they call "entry level" 1911s but you went straight to the good ones. You can hardly go wrong with either the Springfield of the Sig.

I think that just about covers every 45acp made today that is not in the 1911 format, with a few that are still missing. I like the XD-45 and the Colt Government model 1991A series 80.....but that's just me. I have not shot anywhere near all the 45acp models out today.

The 30-30 has kilt more game than any other cartridge in America I recon. The 45-70 is a lot of rifle and will kill Hogzilla or a big Bear. The 44 magnum will do the job too and you can shoot 44 specials in it too. I would go with the 30-30.I have a .357 magnum level gun that I would hunt hogs with. Check out this link. It's an interesting article. Lever-Action Ballistics: .30-30 vs. .357 Magnum http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2011/05/chris-dumm/lever-action-ballistics-30-30-vs-357-magnum/

Question. My wife can't rack the slide on any of my handguns.
Will Carry replied to Will Carry's topic in Handguns
I'm the original poster on this thread and I thank all ya'll for the replies. I took her to the gun shop and she picked out a Walther P-22 and I bought it. It fits her hands, she can rack the slide and load the magazine. So far we have put over 400 rounds of CCI Mini-Mags through it with one failure to eject from battery. I know a .22LR is not a self defense round but ten .22LR rounds would have a negative effect on an attacker. I'm going to try and get her comfortable shooting guns and then we'll see if she can move up in calibers. -
Taurus comes out with some really great ideas and I think this .380 revolver will sell. I would like to see one up close and I would consider buying one.

I recently purchased a CZ-75 SP-01. They are very well made quality handguns. I could not be happier. All steel but the grip, heavy yes but the extra weight means you can rapid fire and still hit the target. It came with Tritium night sights and two 18 round magazines. Shoots like dream.

My wife is a true southern lady and she cares about me so much that she won't let me eat too much fatty foods. I have been so deprived of fat that I remember when I was in the Boy Scouts and we would cook the bacon first and then fry the bread in the bacon grease. That was the best toast I have ever had. Out in the wilds of Tennessee, cold and hungry. I guess we were not the first kids to be in the "wilds" of Tennessee, cold and hungry. The last time I went camping with kids they had their faces burried in these smart phones. Daddy even broke out his lap top and he and his son played a computer game on it, instead of talking around the camp fire and passing on a tradition that has been going on for 6000 years.......
