Google Censors All Gun, Ammo and Accessory Results
Will Carry replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Shopping function? I didn't know they had a shopping function. I say the hell with Google. Bunch of liberal hypocrits! There is a liberal town near Durham called Chapel Hill. Only the wealthy can even afford to live there. They talk like they are so open minded and loving yet when we tried to build an affordable housing project (Habitat For Humanity) they fought us tooth and nail. They love poor people and minorities....they just don't want to live near them.... -
Google Censors All Gun, Ammo and Accessory Results
Will Carry replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I just did a Google searh for "9mm ammo" and got 5,920,000 results. I searhed "AR accessories" and got 184,000,000 results. "Colt 1911 for sale" and got 1,040,000 results. "Guns, ammo and accessories" 72,400,000 results. -

I have the Glock 19 gen 4. The more I shoot it the better I like it. I have shot the M&P and like it too. I don't think America will fail if you don't buy a Smith and Wesson. Just don't buy a Chinese Communist pistol.
-
Thanks. I just bought a P-238. It has had two failures to fire...when I forgot to flip the safety off. I need to practice more. It's the only single action I carry.

ZZ Top just kicked butt back in the 70s and 80s. After 20-30 years I get tired of hearing them. They must be in their 70s by now.
-
I have a Glock 19 Gen 4 with the upgraded RSA. I couldn't be happier with it. I took my defensive handgun class with it and use it for carry and as a bedside gun with CT laser guard. It does nothing special but it does everything right.

Ruger does make a Bisley in blue steel! In 45LC or 44 mag. 7.5" barrel. So you do have a choice on blue or stainless in a Ruger Bisley. I have several blued revolvers and they are truely beautiful. I can't say the function any different though.
-
The Bisley Vaquero only comes in stainless. I would have no other. The hammer spur is lowered in the Bisley making it easier to cock without adjusting your grip. The Bisley grip feels better in my hand and the Bisley has a wider trigger. I recently won a pistol shootin' contest with my Bisley .357 going against some fine semi-automatics like Sig, Colt and Springfield. It wasn't even close.

Question about self defense in your home
Will Carry replied to Glenn's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
That is a tough question. Once you drop that hammer there is no going back. Plus the police don't clean up the mess you make, you have to do that yourself. They will remove the bodies but the blood and gore they leave behind. The memories will never go away. I say shoot'em. -
Conceal Carry vs Open Carry
Will Carry replied to MiddTennTaco's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I am a firm beliver in the right to choose whether you carry openly or concealed. I just carry concealed. Every time I ask an open carry proponent whether or not they have had Handgun Retention and Martial Arts training they always say something like. 1) I'm real careful about keeping my arm down to where I can protect my handgun. 2) The chances of someone taking my pistol from me is so remote it's never going to happen. These statements may be true but in reality it would not be difficult to take away some citizen's gun. They can pick you wallet out of your pocket without you knowing it I am sure a two man team could disarm someone if they wanted to. If nothing else someone could cold cock you from behind and take the pistol off your unconscious body. -
I'll be watching this movie on the Television. I'm kin to the Martins of Rowan County. They were involved in the Rowan County War. The Martins and the Coys (Ted Werems and Al Cameron) Gather round me children, while I tell a story Of the mountains in the days when guns was law. When two families got disputin' It was sure to end in shootin' So just listen close, I'll tell you what I saw. Oh, the Martins and the Coys, They was reckless mountain boys, And they took up family feudin' when they'd meet. They would shoot each other quicker Than it took your eye to flicker; They could knock a squirrel's eye out at ninety feet. All their fightin' started one bright Sunday morning, When old Grandpa Coy was full of mountain dew; Just as quiet as a church-mouse He stole in the Martin's hen-house, 'Cause the Coys they needed eggs for breakfast too. Oh, the Martins and the Coys, They was reckless mountain boys, And old Grandpa Coy has gone where angels live. When they found him on the mountain He was bleedin' like a fountain, For they punctured him till he looked like a sieve. So the Coys started right out to avenge him, And they didn't even take time out to mourn. They went out to do some killin' Where the Martins was distillin', And they found old Abel Martin makin' corn. Oh, the Martins and the Coys, They was reckless mountain boys, And old Abel Martin was the next to go. Though he saw the Coys a-comin' He had hardly started runnin' When a volley shook the hills and laid him low. After that they started out to fight in earnest, And they scarred the mountains up with shot and shell. There was uncles, brothers, cousins - Sure, they bumped 'em off by dozens; Just how many bit the dust it's hard to tell. Oh, the Martins and the Coys, They was reckless mountain boys; At the art of killin' they became quite deft. Though they knowed they shouldn't do it, Still before they hardly knew it On each side they only had one person left. Now, the one remaining Martin was a maiden, And as pretty as a picture was this Grace, While the one survivin' boy Was the handsome Henry Coy - And the folks all knew they'd soon meet face to f ace. Oh, the Martins and the Coys, They was reckless mountain boys, And their shootin' and their killin' sure played hob. For it didn't bring no joy To know that Grace and Henry Coy Both had sworn that they would finish up the job. So at last they met upon a mountain pathway, And Henry Coy he aimed his gun at Grace. He was set to pull the trigger When he saw her pretty figger - You could tell that love had kicked him in the face. Oh, the Martins and the Coys, They was reckless mountain boys, And they say their ghostly cussin' gives you chills, For the hatchet sure was buried When sweet Grace and Henry married It broke up the best dern feud in these here hills. Now you may think this is where the story ended, But I'm tellin' you them ghosts don't cuss no more, For since Grace and Henry wedded They fight worse than all the rest did, And they've carried on the feud just like before.

New to Tennessee, what do I need to know?
Will Carry replied to williamsburg's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The first thing you need to know about Tennessee is that they have the most beautiful women in the world hanging on to the ugliest men you have ever seen. When I figured this out I moved to Tennessee. -
I have been a whitewater kayaker for over 30 years. East Tennessee has some of the best whitewater kayaking in the world. Some of the best fishing spots I have seen were on the Obed, Daddy's Creek and Clear Creek near Wartburg. A fishing kayak would be perfect for getting in to inaccessably places that are rarely fished. Places that are class II or less. If you have an adventerous spirit you can have a great time in a fishing kayak. Do an overnighter on the Obed River from Nemo to Oakdale. Emerald Green water full of Small Mouth and big Cats.

North Carolina votes for marriage ammendment.
Will Carry replied to Will Carry's topic in General Chat
Is there not a way to preserve the sanctity of marriage yet still give gays and lesbians equal rights? I say YES there is a way to do that! Maybe I'm being too simple minded but it does not seem like it would be hard to do. What I am wondering is if this simple fix would be part of the liberal agenda or not. The liberal's want everyone to embrace their lifestyle and denounce the old lifestyles. The liberals will not be satisfied at legalizing gay marriage. They will always want more and more. "Why should marriage just be between two adults?" Bigamy anyone? That is why God made conservatives. To keep the liberals in check. It's a question of balance. -
How many different brands of handgun have you owned?
Will Carry replied to Volzfan's topic in Handguns
1) Ruger 2) Smith and Wesson 3) Springfield 4) Glock 5) Walther 6) Sig 7) Diamondback 8) Taurus 9) Harrington Richardson 10) Colt 11) CZ 12) High Standard Sentinal Mark IV -
We in North Carolina got to vote on whether marriage is between one man and one woman OR any two adults who want to get married. I truly believe that every American should have the same rights regardless of their sexual preferences and I think that no one should ever have to vote to keep their rights, but I think marriage should be between one man and one woman. My wife was against the amendment, she thinks that same sex couples should be able to wed or she did.... I ask my wife "So you think two men should be able to get married?" She says "Yes I do." I asked, "What if the two men were brothers?" "Oh NO!" she says. "Brothers can't marry each other, that's just wrong." "Why is two brothers getting married wrong but two men getting married right?" I said. "I see your point Will. Maybe you are right." I love that woman...I really do.

That is the exact thing that happened with my M85! That is why I carry the Smith and Wesson model 36 now.

You may not make it out, unchanged. "Da Bears." Good luck and God's speed.

I have a couple of .357 magnums. A GP-100 4" and a Bisley Vaquero 5.5". Both revolvers are heavy enough to soak up the recoil of most loads. I have shot a Taurus 44 magnum that was ported and it made a world of difference. It made shooting the 44 magnum fun! It would do the same for a .357. I do not know how much it would cost to get a barrel ported but it does tame the felt recoil. I have had shooters baulk at the idea of porting, saying you will catch your clothes on fire and get debris in your eyes, but I have never experianced this.

My wife has retired after 25 years of teaching 7th grade science in an inner city school that is 80% black and 15% hispanic. She used to come home and tell me all about the Crips and the Bloods and the hispanic gangs. The Durham County Sheriff's Dept even assigned a full time deputy who was a gang expert (later arrested for taking drug money), to stay at the school. We have shootings all of the time in gang areas yet the news NEVER says anything about the gangs! It's like the elephant in the room! According to the local news gangs don't exist, but according to a fellow I work with, you can't even go in to some gang controlled areas without a "pass". I said WTF is a "pass"? He said "you have to be with someone who stays there or have permission from the gang to be there." I said "isn't that dangerous?" "Everybody in the hood is packin'" he says. "You don't go to a place like that unless you are carrying a gun." I recon so..... So why does the media ignored this? Is it because they are liberal? Is because the city leaders don't want bad press so people won't want to move to their city or shop in it's stores?

Taurus buys Heritage Mfg. Meet the Rough Riding Judge!
Will Carry replied to Will Carry's topic in Handguns
Why do you think that I don't own a Taurus or a Heritage?
