It seems that Andy asked Barney and Goober to safety check firearms. It's too early to say what really happened. I know there was an incredibly long line to get in and the Fire Marshal was there counting heads. Panic buying like I have never seen in my life. Not from gun owners, we already own guns, but from non-gun owners. People who have never owned a gun in their lives. It is crazy how people love the Second Amendment, now that it is under threat from Her Obama. http://www.wral.com/two-people-injured-in-shooting-at-raleigh-gun-show/12000843/

No rifle used in sandy hook shooting.
Will Carry replied to crashgordan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It would be apparent as soon as the cops got into the school. They would see rifle brass on the floor. If they didn't see .223 brass casings then their was no rifle used. -
I have been kayaking whitewater rivers in Tennessee since 1977. The Ocoee is a lot of fun and not as dangerous as the Upper Gauley or Chattooga. I don't paddle it much anymore becuase it gets crowded a lot. You'd think being run over by a raft would be like getting hit by a big marshmallow, but it's not. The Nolichucky is fun also, The New River in West By God is my favorite. In Tennessee I like to paddle to Obed system a lot.

Sandy hook conspiracy? (Bring your tin foil hat)
Will Carry replied to ProjectDexter's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think Snopes BUSTED most of the myths that the conspiracy nuts are spreading around the internet. In all situations like this their is confusion and the media never gets it right. It was a tragic event, there was one insane monster gunman and the government was not involved. Also there are no Sasquatches, no second gunman on the grassy knoll and no spaceship at Roswell. -
Second Amendment: Do Militias Matter Today?
Will Carry replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yes. We have to right to form militias if we ever need to. So far we have not. Tennessee is known to form a militia every no and again! Your welcome TEXAS! -
Can Barack Obama Ban Guns By Executive Order?
Will Carry replied to JohnC's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Did our forefathers not right the Constitution and Bill of Rights to protect the people from the democratic vote? So that 60% of the people could not take away the rights of the 40%? So that some president could not decide to take away rights of citizens? They determined that EVERY citizen has certain rights that cannot be taken away by vote or decree. If they take away our 2nd ammendment rights, what's next? The 4th (You could reduce crime if LEO could just go through bad nieghborhoods and bust down some doors!) The 5th (Everybody knows only the guilty plead the 5th) The 1st (Watch yo mouth!) IT STOPS HERE! The 2nd amendment stands and no one can change it. Unless we bury our heads in the sand and let them. -
All blue dots represent a gun owner in Tennessee.

That was a great video! The guy makes sense, he doesn't come off as a "gun nut" and he has nailed it. If we really want to stop violent crimes the we need to go to the inner cities and deal with the poverty and gangs. Gun Control is not the answer.

Did it do much damage to your truck? Just kidding! Nice Buck!

They will make criminals out of millions of honest, God fearing, tax paying, citizens. Just like prohibition. That's why our country's founders wrote the amendments to our constitution. If they get away with this this country will become the Socialist Republic of North America. This is the time to fight for our rights......We've done it before.

What is a Hi-Point 20 Carbine? I have a HiPoint carbine but it has a 10 round magazine. Does the 20 mean they have a 20 round mag? That ban will never pass legislation.

The 30-30 lever action has put a lot of meat on the table. It was my rifle of choice for deer hunting and at 100-200 yards, with open sights, it would bring'em down. I miss my Winchester 30-30 but I'm diggin' my new Henry Big Boy .357. I would post a picture of it, but I don't post pictures of my personal firearms on the world wide web.

"No-Refusal" checkpoints throughout Tennessee this holiday season
Will Carry replied to a topic in General Chat
Doesn't that violate our constituional rights? Like maybe the 4th? The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized -
I own 4 small handguns. Smith and Wesson model 36 Chief's Special 3". Great little pistol. 5 shots every time but reloading quickly during a gun fight is iffy. Ruger LC-9. Great pistol. 7 round magazine. never jammed. It has a manual safety and a long trigger pull Sig P238. It's a accurate little single action 380. The hammer can get caught on clothing and it has had some reliablity issues. You also had to remember to thumb off the safety as you draw, or it won't go bang. DB380. Very concealable and handy but has had reliablity issues. My first two DB380s broke and they sent me new ones. Great service from DB but service doesn't equate to reliablity. I carry the Model 36 and LC-9 when I must go small. A Glock 19 or XD-45 when I can.

For those of you who support the NRA....

What about being a member of both organizations? -
Piers Morgan is an obtuse idiot

The BBC is too busy honoring child molesters to worry about the Yanks. -

I really hate that guy. What an arrogant stupid man. In England he was known as a Twit. He is just mad because in 1776 we had guns and were able free ourseloves from the King's clutches. -
I have heard the rich 1% called "Job Creators". Well I am a "Millionaire Maker"! I work hard and I work smart. If you hire me....I'll make you rich! All I want is a roof over my head, food in my belly and a chance for my children to prosper. Plus...weekends off. Payed vacation. Health insurance, payed sick leave, a 401K and or retirement benefits, a safe place to work and enough money that if a manage it well, can live comfortably. The American workers owe a lot to unions. Because they became as corrupt as the 1% they fought against, they have fallen out of favor. They will be back when we need them again.

I predict that there will be a ban on high capacity semi-automatic rifles and maybe even high capacity handguns. You notice I did not use the term "assualt rifles". All we can do is write our elected representatives and ask him/her not to vote for this ban.

I have to say that is an excellent Mad Max vehicle. I almost expected it to be pulled by a team of camels but I under estimate those Syrians. That's a pretty cool design against small arms fire.

Thanks for posting that. Stopping power ballistics is kind of like Chinese arithmetic. It's interesting but no one really understands it.

I carry sometimes carry a little Smith and Wesson model 36 3". I don't even use +P ammo! Am I crazy? Uh...No. I had a compition with all 13 of my conceal carry pistols and revolvers. The little model 36 won. It is the fastest to draw and fire three accurate shots. I couldn't believe it until I had shot every pistol I own, that this little "old school" wheel gun won.
All the same, I bet I can rack the slide faster than most can turn their safety off. Turning the safety off is a fine motor skill, whereas an over-hand rack...not so much. Pros and cons abound:)
That's why I carry a Glock. No external safety switch. I have a Sig P-238 that is a single action 1911 clone in .380. I have had two failures to fire because I forgot to thumb the safety off. Now I carry a revolver, Glock or XD with one in the chamber. The wheel gun is the fastest to draw and shoot. Would you carry an empty chamber in a revolver?
-
Glock 19. One in the chamber. I have had formal training and I do practice. I do not load/unload and I do not holster/unholster. If I have to draw my weapon there is no need to reholster it. The police will be wanting to take it as evidence. If you keep your "Bugger hook" off the "bang button" you will not have any negligent discharges. For me. If I (God help me) ever have to draw my weapon. I'm going to draw and fire, just like I train. It's simple and simple is what you want in a situation like that. If you are drawing and holstering, loading and unloading, your weapon thousands of time when you carry, then you need to keep the chamber empty.
