  1. I have a J.C.Higgins that was made in 1936 that I would put up against any rifle made today.  It's a Marlin model 100 made for Sears.
  2. I did a show for Lamar when he became governor. He had a dinner for all the people who let him stay in their homes when he walked across the state. Minnie Pearl was there. I was a member of the Clown Company of Columbia Tennessee and was a comedic juggler. We did a Vaudeville show for them.
  3. I figured if I ever found a woman who would consent to have sex with someone as ugly as me...I would marry her.
  4. I added a Glock 19 to my collection because everybody said "You need a Glock."  I have grudgingly learned to appreciate it. It's a fine handgun and it lives by my bed with a CT Lazergaurd and +P JHPs.
  5. Will Carry sounds better than May Carry or Do Carry.
  6. 19!
  7. When I was 14 I hit the red flag on our mailbox from 325 yards free standing, with a Higgins single shot 22 with open sights. From that day on I was considered the best shot in the area. Some people say it was a lucky shot but I used to spend hours down at the river shooting long shots with that rifle.
  8. I buy their 38sp and .357 when I go to a gun show here in Raleigh NC.  I have never had any problems with them.
  9. It ain't as easy as it sounds is it? We used to go when I was a kid. Mom would fry'em up for us. Tastes better than chicken.
  10. I want one of these revolvers! They are of great quality and NAA is selling them as fast as they can make them. Yet every time I see one at a gun shop (which is rare now days) I think about what would happen if I ever got into a gun fight with one....and I walked away from the counter. Now that I have over a dozen concealed carry guns of all types, I think it's time to get one. For a back up weapon or deep concealment weapon. Although I would hate to have to use it.
  11. I carry the Glock 19. I know a lot of people say "the Glock grip doesn't fit my special hands" and "The Glock trigger is too sloppy for my finely tuned fingers" and I understand what they are saying. I don't carry the Glock 19 to comfort my hands. I carry it to help me get out of danger. I do like the Beretta. It's a fine weapon. But this danged Barvarian Brick has proven itself time after time.
  12. In all of the excitement of having to use a handgun to defend yourself, you may only get one chance. I do not want to screw it up by forgetting to rack the slide. I always keep one in the chamber. I would carry two in the chamber if I could.
  13.   Thank you for your service to our country.
  14. Just go down to the local recruiting office and tell them you want to kill. Before you know it, you'll be at Paris Island or Ft. Bragg doing that stuff all day long...for free.
  15. Dude. If you are not a liquor drinker, be careful.  I've seen beer drinkers try liquor and get themselves all messed up.  One shot of Jack Daniels is equal to one beer or one glass of wine. Pace yourself, just sip it slowly and enjoy. One cup of 80 proof liquor is all a man needs to drink in one night. Don't waste your money on high dollar bourbon or scotch. Get a bottle of Black Jack Daniels or George Dickel 12 year old. The taste of Tennessee.
  16. Cavers don't use the term "Spelunking". They just call it caving. Tennessee is honeycombed with caves. It's great on a hot summer day or a cold winter day.  A friend of mine is a caver and goes all over Applachia crawlin' through caves. I have been with him a few times. Beware of the "Black Damp".
  17. I bought a Crossbreed Super Tuck that is molded for my Crimson Trace Lasergaurd, but I find myself using the Uncle Mikes $15 holster during the summer months.
  18.  They are moving to Rockingham County. It's near Mayberry and Mount Pilot. I have owned Rugers for many years and have never had any issues. I even have a LC9 which has never failed to go bang, even though the trigger is terrible. I think that Ruger's quality may have gone down because they are working so much overtime trying to meet demand.  There is no excuse for sending out poor quality weapons.
  19. It sounds weird but it tastes great! My wife made them for lunch.  Go easy on the Mayo.
  20. 1) 12 gauge 870 2) XD-45 3) Bush Axe
  21. I will continue to carry my 9mm and even my 38 special. I know of a man who was shot 8 times with a 45acp and 11 times with OO buck shot and he still managed to kill two law enforcement officers, get in a car, and be driven away. He bled to death later.  I love the ballistics debate! I have been studying it for many years. I enjoyed reading this article too, though I do not agree with everything he said.
  22.   What a great pistol! MIne is stock and shoots like a dream. I understand they can do a trigger job to make it mo betta but mine is good right out of the box.
  23. You need to come over to the dark side and get a plastic pistol.  Glock, XD, M&P.
  24. The District Attorney in the Duke LaCrosse case was disbarred from practicing law.  His name was Mike Nifong.
  25. Al Sharton, Jesse Jackson and the Black Panthers all came to my home town to protest when those terrible Duke LaCrosse players raped that poor young exotic dancer. The only thing was.....they didn't do it. The woman was lying.  These boys lives were nearly ruined by this "linch mob". Yet did any of these people ever say "I'm sorry. We jumped the gun. We judged you before we knew the facts?" NO THEY DIDN"T!  They just went to Florida and did the same thing to George Zimmerman.    I guess they never saw "To Kill a Mockingbird".
