  1. My wife has been going to St. Phillips Episcopal church for several years now. I will go with her every once and a while but I have found the people to be cold and aloof.  Last year my wife had a terrible accent. She broke both of her arms, dislocated her shoulder and hurt her back. It was awful.  Where I come from, the Methodist would bring over food, the pastor would come by and pray for you and other church members would come by to offer to help. We never even got a get well card from St. Phillips.    My wife had surgery last Friday and has been in a lot of pain, can't walk and needs constant care. I have had to take off work to care for her and it has been a great strain on both of us. Once again not one person from St. Phillips has even called.  The more I think about it, the more resentment I have. Is it hypocritical of me to get angry about this? This church does support the homeless shelter and they send people all over the world to help the needy and I am a terrible sinner.
  2. It seems that in a time of mass media an ugly man or woman would be at a disadvantage running for president. Abe Lincoln would never have been elected today. He has my vote as the ugliest man to ever hold the office of president of these Unites States......but it is a close call.

    Glock 19

I traded my Glock 36 for the Glock 19.  I don't care about the "grip angle isn't right for my ultra-sensitive feel." or "The trigger isn't good enough for my special finger." FTS. The Glock 19 is a true classic. It has never ever failed to fire.
  4. The media is doing an excellent job of "Race Baiting".  Don't let them get to you.
  5. You have to organize. It can be your neighbors, your church or just a group of like minded individuals.  I'm not talking about an armed mob, I am talking about concerned, law abiding, citizens who want to keep the peace.
  6. I remember those cars well. If you got 70,000 miles on one it was incredible. Not because they weren't well built but because we drove them so hard.
  7. I have an LC9. It is 100% reliable and the accuracy, for what it is, is good. The trigger is so bad that it may be the worst I have ever pulled on a semi-auto. Shame on you Ruger!  You made the trigger long to make it safer? WTF! I will not sell my LC9 to get the striker fired version.....at least not right away.
  8. Look, the video had hard driving heavy metal music! It must be true.
  9. "Life is hard. It's even harder if you're stupid" John Wayne   "If you're going to be stupid, you got to be tough"   Unknown
  10. What have the Romans ever done for us? Ohhhh.... I'm a Lumber Jack and I'm OK.......
  11. Too Kill A Mockingbird:   Atticus:  I remember when my daddy gave me that gun. He told me that I should never point it at anything in the house; and that he'd rather I'd shoot at tin cans in the backyard. But he said that sooner or later he supposed the temptation to go after birds would be too much, and that I could shoot all the blue jays I wanted - if I could hit 'em; but to remember it was a sin to kill a mockingbird.   Dr. Strangelove: "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room."   The Outlaw Josey Wales: "Pull Emuel Pull"
  12. I measure 8" from wrist to fingertips. I carry a Smith and Wesson model 36 square butt, which is a tiny grip. Maybe you should try a wheel gun. The thing about an EDC is you, hopefully, will never hold it unless you are at the range.
  13. This is a joke...right?  Ha ha ha ha. Good one!
  14. "GENERAL! We are all out of ammunition!" "Then we will give them the Bayonet !"
  15. We shot and cleaned an Armadillo once. We took the meat, which is very lean, and ground it up with beef to make Armadillo Burgers. I wasn't bad, but we never did it again.
  16. I carry an XD-45 in the winter. It fits in a supper-tuck holster or in my vest pocket. 13+1 rounds of 45acp makes me fell warm and fuzzy. I also carry my Colt Government. It is surprisingly slim.
  17. I wish they would make a smooth bore Circuit Judge for .410 only. Then you wouldn't have the "donut effect" with the shot pattern.
  18.   I think the 45acp would be a better choice than the 9mm.  It has been effective I the past.
  19. HOLY........! That bees one ugly weapon.
  20. There was this exchange student from Pakistan studying Agronomy at Auburn University where my sister works. He and his wife are Muslim. His wife decided that she was going grocery shopping but she doesn't speak or read English very well.  She picked up a Pork Tenderloin by mistake. She didn't catch what she had done until it was cooked and her husband was sitting at the table. She served it and told her husband it was Veal. He loved it! When he asked her to serve it again she told him that she didn't believe in eating Veal. She told my sister this after they had become friends and she learned to speak English.
  21. I use a Crossbreed or a cheap Uncle Mike's. I know it sounds crazy since I have a grocery sack full of holsters I have bought over the years. I always come back to the Uncle Mike's.
  22. A 45acp hardball is not a one shot stopper......but it's better than the 9mm FMJ.  If the military must use FMJ ammo, then let them use the 45acp.
  23. I like the Tanto blade and I carry a SOG Flash II. It's a great work knife.
  24. That's a nice snubby.  It will do you proud.
  25. I like to pretend that I know all about the various 1911s being offered today and then tell you that if you buy a 1911 it should have a pony on the slide, because that's what I have. A Colt government model 1991-A1 series 80. That's right, a series 80.......it is 100% reliable.
