Music City Tactical Shooters - IDPA Match June 18, 2011
stahlmangc replied to Fyrguy's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Newbie (meaning it would be my first match) question here... How long would you anticipate the match lasting, max? Coming from Nashville and owe it to my lovely wife to give her a timeline. -
Ok everyone, last weekend of the month. Win a Remora holster.
-
Everyone is welcome.
-
Weekly bump to get folks to shoot.

Interchangable backstraps? Is this just a gimick?
stahlmangc replied to Will Carry's topic in Handguns
In addition to all statements above, it allowed me to put crimson trace grips on my M&P seamlessly. -
If you will indulge me to bump this up so that folks can see it. Thanks
-
Because of the prize purse and the fact that Doc Wesson has not yet published his revolver podcast, I have extended the deadline of The Wheel of Love postal match to March 31st. www.postalmatch.blogspot.com

Weekend is nigh. The revolver is looking for love. Hope you guys can shoot the match!

Doc Wesson of The Gun Nation Podcast has just informed me that he has procured prizes for this month's match. The winner of each class will recieve, courtesy of Doc Wesson and Remora Holsters, well....A Remora Holster. Sorry, only one holster per entrant, even if you "win" more than one class. Average Joe did a good review of this IWB holster that does not use clips. See it here at Average Joes Handgun Reviews blog.

Awesome. Make sure(if you can) to include a photo of your target with the guns you used. I wanna see what people shoot. We may actually gave a prize for the winner. Doc Wesson of The Gun Nation Podcast (www.gunnation.us) may be able to swing something. No guarantees, however. Please make sure you pass the info along to your shooting buddies to play along.

Pls bump to keep current. Everyone is welcome!!!

Let's go shooting. Gray

Thanks Hozzie. Yes it is inreally great shape. I just pulled it out of the case about 6 mo ago....I last shot it when I was 16 and stupid (about value). 50 rounds offhand at 15 meters went into a hole that was about 2" in diameter. Hmmmmmm

Tom, is the Florence SC course open to anyone or is it limited to LEOs? Gray

My Winchester 52b Sporter. 1947. Was my dads. He died when i was 8 in 1969. A true tackdriver with big nostalgia. It's the winner in my book.

I hope you guys and gals can play along this month.

Hello all. Happy new year. Since the TGO monthly postal match seems to have moved on (I hosted the target for some time), I want to invite all of you to visit my monthly handgun postal match. www.postalmatch.blogspot.com I've been running this match for over a year now and hope as many TGO forum members join in the fun. This months match is a tribute to the Mozambique Drill known by many in the IDPA world. For those of you who don't know what a postal match is - it is a community shooting match where all participants shoot the same target at their own range, then submit the targets to "compete" with fellow shooters. This is all done online. Rules and entry can be found at the website. Gray

Invitation to the November Handgun Postal Match
stahlmangc replied to stahlmangc's topic in Handguns
We had a lot of entries this month. Merle entered every class. Here is an image from the site with the targets. Great job. Please, come on over an join in for December. It will give you a good excuse for shooting your new toys. November 2010 Results - Tribute to Project Appleseed Happy Thanksgiving to all. We had a lot of entries this month...mostly by Merle who entered every class! Very prolific indeed. Good to see some new faces (???) joining in. I know the holidays and changes in the weather have likely also gotten in the way. www.postalmatch.blogspot.com Class 1 (Rimfire, Iron Sights) Merle Ruger Super Single Six, .22Mag Score = 15 Mr Borland Ruger Mk III, .22LR Score = 42 StahlmanGC ATI GSG 1911, .22LR Score = 37 StahlmanGC Ruger MkIII 22/45, .22LR Score = 39 Beartooth GSG 1911, .22LR Score = 12 Class 2 (Rimfire, Optical Sights) Merle Ruger MkII w/ Red Dot, .22LR Score = 27 Class 3 (Centerfire, Iron Sights) Merle Ruger SA 6 1/2", 32-20 WCF Score = 23 Beartooth Colt Combat Commander, 9mm Score = 15 Class 4 (Centerfire, Optical Sights) Merle Dan Wesson w/ Red Dot, .357Mag Score = 22 Unlimited Rimfire Merle TC Bull 10" w/ 1.5-4.5 scope, .22LR Score = 20 Unlimited Centerfire Merle TC Bull Octagon w/ 2-6 scope, 9mm Score = 20 While MrBorland had the highest score, I think honorable metion needs to go to Merle for his sheer fortitude at the range. I'm working on December's match. At Merle's request, we will go for something that is friendlier to the aging eye...perhaps even a simple bullseye. Anything to get you out shooting those new Christmas toys! As always, I look forward to your participation. Any suggestions/comments/criticisms are welcome. Invite your friends to join in as well. Stay safe. Happy holidays to you all. Take a friend shooting. Gray -

Invitation to the November Handgun Postal Match
stahlmangc replied to stahlmangc's topic in Handguns
By the way TGOs own Blair Ellis and SmokyBaer were the winners of the Zombie Hunter patches. Come on and join the fun. Gray -
We had a good time shooting Zombies for the October online handgun postal match. I invite one and all to participate in the November match. Inspiration was taken from both Thanksgiving and the recent elections. (click link to go to match site - opens in another window) A Tribute to Project Appleseed Basically using one of the 10 yard promotional targets for the Project Appleseed, I modded it for handgun. (While I have no doubt someone here may be able to shoot a handgun at 300 yards, I make no claims that this game will prove that you can. ) To learn more about Project Appleseed go to: www.appleseedinfo.org Deadline is November 30

***Attention All Shooters*** This month's match now has a prize!!! The official Zombie Hunter patch will be awarded to the high scorer of each Rimfire and Centerfire (Not each class but each division). In the event of a tie, a random drawing will determine the winner. Show your shooting buddies who is the baddest of the bad when it comes to hunting Zombies. Sorry, the Browing Hi Power is NOT included
