  1. I have a couple of the fobus holsters, they are OK, but nothing great IMO. You might want to give an IWB a try, but if I were you I would try and get one as cheap as possible to try it out before you spend more on one that you may or may not like... You might get one of these to try it out: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/KEY146-46729-2141.html I bought one of them and I liked it OK so then I stepped up and got the MTAC, minotaur, I don't think that I personally will use any one holster exclusively all the time, you need different ones for different times IMO.
  2. Cool story, sounds like yall had a good time!
  3. 2 glocks, 23 and 27 also 2 Kahrs, PM9 and CW40, oh yea I forgot I also have 2 walther P22's
  4. I can only comment on the MTAC, I just got mine yesterday and I wore it then and today after I got up, I work third shift, so far I like it for deep concealment. I am carrying a Kahr CW40 in it for now.
  5. I currently own a glock 27 and 23 as well as a Kahr PM9 and CW40, I like all of them for different reasons. As far as reliability, the glocks never had any problems at all, the kahrs, I bought the PM9 used and it was already broken in so I have had zero issues with it, feeding or extracting, never an issue, it is very accurate for its size too! I bought the CW40 new and the kahrs do require a break in before they are reliable. I now have the CW40 broken in, (about 300 rounds) and shot it this past weekend with absolutely no issues at all! Like I siad I like all of these that I have, I carry the PM9 almost every day in my front pocket, lately, since break in, I have been carrying the CW40 regularly in an IWB holster and I almost forget it is there. The glocks I find a bit more uncomfortable to carry and conceal which is subjective I know, so I find myself carrying the kahr more often. I do still carry one of my glocks from time to time most times in a serpa OWB with a shirt tail covering it. If you can rent any kahrs and give them a try it would probably be to your benefit...
  6. He can't wait to go again, we will have to try and take him again soon....
  7. He is 7 yrs old and this was his first time shooting a real gun, he shot about 50 rounds with one of my P22's and had a blast! He asked me again today if we could go shoot, I told him we can't go everyday but we will go again soon.... He watched me shoot before we tried him and I think he was trying to shoot like I did for a couple of magazines that I shot rapid fire, I think he is hooked! http://sports.webshots.com/video/3021173950069065583qdBIOG?vhost=sports

    Carry Gun Size?

I have a glock 23,27 and Kahr PM9 and CW40, I carry the PM9 most all of the time in my pocket in a desantis nemesis holster, it is my bug for any of the other guns I choose to carry or sometimes it is the only gun I carry. I shoot all of my guns well enough for SD, I have a comptac minotaur on order for my CW40 to carry IWB.

    Kahr guns

I have a PM9 and really like it, it is in my pocket most of the time, with or without my primary carry sidearm...I have recently bought a CW40 and so far I am pretty happy with it as well. It still needs a little more breaking in but I think it is gonna be fine for regular carry soon, I have a comptac minotaur on order for it now.
  10. Congrats on your new toy! As far as mags go I have the pmags, http://www.magpul.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=80_120&products_id=268 they are supposed to be one of the best, so far I like them. I have not done any torture tests on them myself but they are supposed to hold up really well to abuse.
  11. They are NOT legal for hunting if you were planning to use it for that...
  12. Guess I am going to go with the electronic lock.. thanks everyone for yor feedback!
  13. I am in the market for a gun safe and was wondering if any of you folks have any experience with these electronic key pads? Do they hold up over the long run? Should I steer clear of them and go with a dial lock? Any and all information will be greatly appreciated!
  14. The Great Outdoor Store in Jackson has a pretty good selection and decent prices, you might check them out if you are in the area. Brighton Arms at Brighton, TN http://brightonarms3030.com/update.html also has a nice selection, their prices vary depending on the weapon, some they have decent prices on and others they are too high compared to others but I have found most gun shops are like that. The Gander Mountain in Jackson also has a nice selection of new guns and a few used but they are almost always too high on all their guns, but it is a good place to look at several diffreent guns. I have also done business with T&T grocery & sporting goods, he has some pretty good prices but I have only bought from him at guns shows, never been to his store, if you find something you like you could give him a call and get his best price, phone #731-645-9922.

    Subcompact 9MM

I have a PM9 and it is my daily companion in my pocket most of the time, in a desantis nemesis holster, I carry it alone with extra mag in my other pocket or sometimes I add my other kahr CW40 or one of my glocks depending on my dress for the day and concealability concerns. I love my PM9 and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering a very small 9mm. My last range outing this past week I was practicing with the PM9 and was having no trouble at all making all head shots on the paper targets at about 7yds. I will most likely always have this little powerhouse.
  16. My wife has one of these now and I would be interested to know as well. I will check the paperwork that came with the gun to see if there is any mention of shooting +p in it...
  17. Congrats on your new pruchase! You might want to check this site out, http://ar15.com/forums/board.html?b=4 You will find a lot of info there...
  18. Cool! I used to shoot like that! I never hit anything though, just shot like that!
  19. I like it, " homeland defense rifle" sounds like a god idea to me, I will start using this name when talking about my AR.

    3" 1911

Just thought I would throw this out there, the Springfield EMP is gonna be available in 40 s&w this year, not sure when or if you will be able to find one though..
  21. OK, I just put the removable carry handle on and I shot it freehand so the sights are not zeroed in yet but I kept them all on the target at about 20 yds. I will give it some fine tuning next time out. I am liking it more after each outing with it!!
  22. Me and the wife went to my in laws and did a little shooting today! We picked her up a new Bersa 380 yesterday, so she shot it a little and we both shot my AR a few rounds. She looks a little funny cause she was not holding it correctly because her ear protection was in the way. She was not as excited about shooting it as I was, go figure!
