    Scope on a handgun?

I'm not worried about looking silly, and trust me, I absolutely understand the 'eyes aren't what they used to be' arguments. I just wonder about the eye relief issues and how hard they are to use.
  2. OK - I have to ask, because I've been wondering for a long time.. Do scopes on handguns really work? I've never tried one, but I see quite a few and always wondered whether or not its a good idea.
  3. Hey - welcome aboard neighbor! (I'm in La Vergne.)
  4. I just had lunch at a Chinese restaurant, and didn't have to worry about them serving beer. Cool.

    1911 Gun PoRn

    That is very nice!
  6. I have a NIB genuine Golden Fleece holster that will fit that - I'd let it go for a very reasonable $1200.
  7. I'm in if you can find a place to do this somewhere in the Nashville area. I'd be happy to bring some brass to reaload and/or barter for the lesson.
  8. We made our first driving trip into central Mexico last year to see my wife's family, and our whole family had to have passports. Passports - good. Driving through Mexico - bad.
  9. Springfield Champion .45 and Glock 26.
  10. In order of qty on-hand: .45 .40 9mm .22 lr 38 spl .45 lc .380 .357
  11. Wow - I want one too!

    stolen gun

I think having people steal from you is one of the most frustrating things you can experience. Hope you get it back.
  13. I could use it - please put me in the hat.
  14. Bush, Bush, and Reagan didn't have the same credibility issues with the military that Obama seems to have, nor were they in the habit of constantly apologizing to other countries for our 'mistakes'. My opinion is that this was a bad political move for O-POTUS, especially during a time of war.
  15. I didn't catch this thread the first time - I'd like to see how this turned out too..!

    XD40 or XD9?

+1... I have a .40 that I carry occasionally, but if it's going to be a range gun I'd stick with the 9.
  17. It wasn't the people with little or no experience who made me uneasy in my class.. It was the guy next to me who remarked to his friend, "I'm a f*****g bad-ass now - PD better not try to come into my house!" after (just barely) qualifying with a borrowed .22.
  18. Jeff at G&L has them - I bought some a while back for one of my 1911s.
  19. Is that a new model from Crossbreed? I don't think I've seen that before either. Looks good. My favorite OWB is the Bianchi Carry-Lok. They ride nice and high, and I like the release on them more than a thumb snap.
  20. Looks good! I like the color.

    New 1911

I think you have a crowd waiting for the pics..... (Me included!)
  22. Thanks for the advice guys - this is something I hadn't even thought about before reading your posts. I'm probably at about 1000 rounds through my Kimber, so I just ordered a spring from Wolf.
  23. I use a 'Gun Record' Excel spreadsheet that I made up with drop-down lists for manufacturer, caliber, etc. that makes it really easy to record and track this information. If anyone wants a copy, PM me and I'll e-mail you one.
  24. Wow. Seriously - I even like the color!
  25. Well said StPatrick - you make a great point. Personally I don't care what color, gender, religion, or race a SC justice is, as long as they follow the constitution and the letter of the law and leave their personal beliefs and/or bias out of the job.
