I've had mine for a few years, don't use it much, but glad I have it. KK4LNX

Harbor Freight's latest ad lists a 'Personal Portable Security Safe' for $14.99 with coupon. That's what I use and it works great.

I like my Nano, but I usually carry a Kahr P380 when I need something smaller than my Glock 26, so it doesn't get out much.

I have the 12ga Remington version, I think I'd like it even better in 20ga.

Excellent food (chicken/fryer) purchase opportunity 4/2/18
JPS replied to Jamie Jackson's topic in Survival and Preparedness
I smoked a couple of these a few weeks ago, de-boned the meat and chopped it up in the food processor, and made smoked chicken raviolis. Looks like I'll have to stock up and get the smoker going again. -

Permit Class This Week for Active Military - La Vergne?
JPS replied to JPS's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I'm not sure if he has that or not... I'll check. Thanks! -
My soldier son has a week of leave from Fort Bragg beginning Monday 11/6 and will be home until (probably) Saturday. He has asked me to see if he can take a Carry Permit class while he's here. Anyone know of a reasonably-priced class available in the La Vergne, Smyrna, South Nashville area this week with any openings?

Not sure I'd want to depend on it...

Yes - 4+1 for the Tac 14. Interesting note - I contacted the company that makes a 'plug' for the Mossberg so you can use Agila Mini shells, and they said they tried making one for Rem 870s but the internals just wouldn't work for it.

Thanks guys. Now I need to find some low-recoil ammo to feed it.

Picked this up for a good price at my LGS and tuned it a little for my preferences. Remington Tac 14 with Hogue rubber forend, Vang Comp Big Speed safety, and cheap 2-point (Ebay) sling. Burglars beware.

I have a Whiskers, and it has never opened accidentally, in my pocket or out of it. I can't buy knives anymore because I can't stand the thought of not carrying my Whiskers.

I love a good conspiracy theory! The 'patient zero' thought did occur to me as well, but I imagine (hope) he was tested by health officials upon entering the country. I was surprised his parents objected to an autopsy, as I would think that would answer a lot of questions for them.

Opinions Wanted: Go Back to the Old Trading Post Forums?
JPS replied to TGO David's topic in Feedback and Support
I liked the old system better.. -
I keep a couple boxes of each caliber in my gun safe, but the bulk of my ammo goes into a large padlocked wooden box I built that also serves as an end table. Its not very obvious and it hides out in an upstairs corner next to a sofa.

I bought the FoodSaver V2244 from Amazon in Nov when it was about $20 less than it is now, and it works well for us. I use it every couple weeks or so after a grocery run to bag/seal meat for the freezer and bulk cheese for the fridge. I also picked up the jar sealer attachment, and really like that for keeping sauces, etc fresher longer in jars. (If you get the jar sealer don't forget to 'shrink' a jar of marshmallows - the kids love it!)

I'm (hic) in. Happy Christmas!

I highly recommend having willis68 sharpen your knivesguys. I've had 2 done now, and not only do they come back from him razor sharp, but they stay that way for a long time. I run mine up and down a leather strop once or twice a week, and the edge stays wicked sharp.

Guns and Leather's owner said on their radio show last night that they had the Rugers in stock. I think he said the sold them for $629.
