  1. I'm glad no one was killed. He deserves to be punished. But so does every person who runs a red light, Tbones a car full of people and sends some to the ER. I'm also glad it wasn't one of the "evil" guns...
  2. Thanks for the post, had him bookmarked on my old phone, but been broke so long I forgot about him....
  3. I posted positive feedback for surfcityred this morning. I tried to type "very understanding of my weak computer skills" but mistyped and/or my phone changed it to "very understanding of my weapon." Please help me edit this. Thanks, Kevin
  4. Nice video, shooting and place to shoot. Your shooting buddy beats all mine put together... Thanks for posting :)
  5. I currently have 2 sets of all-green 3 dot sights, one Ameriglo's and the other Trijicon. I've decided my next set will either have a different color/size for the front or different shape rear. It's possible to have front sight be mistaken for rear sight. Happened to me on a no flashlight dry run through my house in the dark. I was using my laser for illumination and when I opened door and proceeded downstairs my laser was pointing way left, tilted pistol up and noticed my mistake.
  6. Sweet Chager Graycrait! Dolomitesupafly hopefully I'll be able to head your way soon, I'll bring your work of art with me;)
  7. Maybe KAC would offer you some advice or the forearm wrench for cheap if you contacted them and explained your difficulty.
  8. All I have is a cheap stock/1911 bushing wrench. Pretty sure you can use a chaintype or regular pipe wrench to remove barrel if you use a piece of leather as a buffer. I have both of these if you'd like to use. I think you'll need a set of go/nogo gauges to confirm headspace, although you might be able to set by tightening barrel until it barely chambers a round, backing it out a little and the checking spent brass for signs. I'VE NEVER DONE THAT AND DON'T KNOW IF MY COMMON SENSE APPROACH WL BLOW UP IN YOUR FACE. Please consult a knowledgeable source beforehand and wear eye, head and hand protection. I have a full face motorcycle helmet you could wear. Please keep us update.
  9. I would go for a fixed non-flip ironsight. To answer OP's question I would go for carry handle. My Magpul BU(plastic) sight usually sits flat behind an Eotech. If I move the Eotech, I also remove the Magpul and replace with carryhandle. The Magpul serves well as a cheap American Made backup but doesn't compete with dedicate "iron" sights.

    Thin 9mm

Nice to see I'm not alone in my admiration for Kahr single stack 9MM's. With full and compact grip sizes, plastic and stainless frames, it's easy to find a model that fits your carry preference.
  11. Looking good, how is recoil compared to standard stock? And since I never get a chance to tell my only joke in Latin... Semper Ubi Sub Ubi
  12. First non-sponsored review I've seen on one. Thanks for posting. Pics would be even better;)
  13. My vote wold be for the Kel-Te.c P11. More versatile: easier and cheaper to shoot the same round you'll be carrying, can use 15 round factory S&W magazines and offbrand extended capacity, share magazines with your Ke-Tec Sub-2000 and last but not least, due to it's thinness and lighter weight you'll have more options as to how you actually carry it. Yes you will have to fluffNbuff, safely dryfire a thousand times, run a couple of value packs of FMJ, at least 50 of your carry load (my opinion) AND feel pride knowing there's a few Americans that have a job because of the decision that you made.
  14. I apologize to the OP.... But, how many rounds did it take to shoot the barrel "out"?
  15. Wow that looks sharp, no pun intended. Excellent work, sir
  16. Probably highlight of dude's life, willing to bet best night of his life:) dang straight he called the cops...
  17. Before pics please!
  18. BFH should do the trick. Just joking, listen to the guys who know what they're talking about.
  19. I "can" only think of one thing that would make that pistol look even cooler. Sweet pistol and optic setup.
  20. Well Done Sir!

    Why not a bayonet?

I would think bayonet on a bolt action rifle a must. Especially on a sturdy surplus arm. Bayonet long enough to penetrate under the chin up into the brain. Push forward and let gravity and momentum pull the zed off of your weapon. Repeat. Yes you will have to have upper body strength to do this. But if you're gonna be dumb, then you gotta be tough...
  22. No experience, but excessive reading and drooling. In fact I've never met a single owner. Hmmm. How will we ever know if they live up to the hype. My rathole is sitting pretty with a few 20's in it, thankfully these seem to be very neutered AK style rifles and will still be importable when I can afford one. At least I have awhile to decide on caliber:)

    New AR owner

Put a fixed stock on it and it's my 13 yr old son's dream rifle. First time he shot my AR he asked me to take the Eotech off so he could see the "iron" sights better. Sweet build:)
  24. Personally I'd recommend a S&W Model 60 with a 4" barrel. I'm a skinny guy and that the biggest 4" .357 I could conceal. If size and cost didn't matter I'd recommend one of the S&W Mountain series of revolvers. Don't remember if that's the exact name though...
  25. Me? American made 1911.
