  1. This article might be helpful. Lots of size comparisons here...Defining A True Pocket Pistol
  2. The advantage of the Kel-Tec Sub2000 carbine is the light weight, only about four pounds. And, it will accept high capacity mags. For example, the Sub-2000 in the GLOCK grip will take the 30 round mags. Of course, it makes the gun look even funnier than it does already!
  3. There's a list here.... Semi-automatics at mouseguns.com
  4. It depends from gun to gun, too. Some barrels are parkerized, and you will remove the rust resistance. Others, like Kel-Tec, actually NEED to be polished (unless you get a parkerized one). In the end, whatever floats your boat.
  5. It's hard to get excited about another .380. Everyone and his brother is making one, it seems. It's good, though, that .380 ammo seems to be more plentiful.
  6. Just be polite and quiet about the whole thing, and remember: concealed is the way to go. Be the gray man.
  7. It is a beauty!
  8. I have not experienced much trouble with the safety locks on the HP22A. After all, I do not consider this to be a ccw gun, just a fun plinker. So, fiddling with safeties is a non-issue, in my opinion. Glad you liked my little review. Your range report was excellent.
  9. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the Phoenix Arms HP22A. Most of the time, it turns out to be a good firearm. I never had any trouble with mine. I have had both the .22 and the .25 version, and each was 100 percent. Here's my little write up to go along with your range reports......Phoenix Arms HP22A .22 LR Pistol Review

    davis 380

The Davis semi-auto firearms sell for about $120 brand new. They will work, but they are cheaply made. They are generally not reliable enough for daily carry. Some people really enjoy messing around with the Davis, Bryco, Jennings and Raven pistols. They are all related. But they are not for newbies, and they are not firearms of quality and substance. The H & R revolvers on the other hand are really nice revolvers, and your 922 is a gun you should hang on to. It will last for years, and give you many enjoyable days at the range.
  11. Please explain just a little more. Suppose I have my C&R license, but the fellow across the country does NOT have a C&R license. Can he send his firearm directly to me, or does he ALSO need a C&R license? Thanks for being patient.
  12. I am about ready to get a C&R license, and I would like to know WHO can ship a C&R firearm to me. Specifically, can an out of state individual without an ffl or c&r ship his rifle directly to me, because I have a C&R license? Can an in state person ship me his rifle just because we are in the same state? Thanks.
  13. I had some fun doing WASR research, and made a web page of information: http://www.mouseguns.com/wasrrev/review.htm
  14. More goodies...A very nice gentleman sold me 8 5-round mags for my AK, at a very nice price. Thanks MB!
  15. I have the complete wood set, but I like the ATI foregrip, and decided to just leave it. I could paint the rest of the furniture black (I like the EBR look), but I don't see any reason to replace the ATI synthetic. I like the Romanian forward facing "dongle" foregrip. Might get one and paint it black. But I think it might interfere a little with changing out the magazine.
  16. Apparently the GP WASR 10/63 model AKM is made pretty well these days, but still mighty plain. Mine is constructed of a WASR 10 receiver reamed out by Century Arms to take the 30 round mag. But most of the other parts date from a 1975 Romanian military AKM. The trunion, bolt, bolt carrier, back of the rear sight, and receiver cover are all stamped with the same serial number. Lots of proof marks are stamped here and there, too. Of course the fire control group is a USA Tapco G2, which is a really nice FCG. I suppose the piston is a USA part, too. I got this from one of our TGO members a week ago, who had put ATI furniture on it. The ATI stock was too long for my short arms, so I painted the wood stock black, and stuck it on. This makes for a very ugly AK, but it works for me. Light and quick to the shoulder. I really like this AK. It came with a couple of Tapco mags, but I've got four old commie mags on order with Copes. I'm wondering if they will exhibit the dreaded WASR wobble. We shall see!
  17. Made in NC of all American parts. It's the first of many companies who will eventually do this when foreign parts become unavailable. Read this article from the IO website... http://www.ioinc.us/articles/doc_download/14-guns-a-ammo-complete-book-of-ak-47-3-2010
  18. I lost my macho image about 45 years ago.
  19. Very nice rifle, and I like the tube magazine. Have fun!
  20. I got this Marlin from gregintn a few weeks ago, and put a limbsaver and a scope on it...

Some other stuff to try...experiment on something else first! "Barkeeper's Friend" Baking Soda and water White toothpaste Let us know how it goes.
  22. That's a mighty nice shotgun, Tyler! And congrats again on your wedding and beautiful bride!
  23. It is a fine gun. It is safer to carry than a GLOCK, because you cannot pull the trigger by accident. GLOCK triggers are a bit on the light side.
  24. Gunblast.com just sold a whole bunch of Kel-Tec guns for Kel-Tec!
