  1. Don't forget to eat cheetos as you stroll.
  2. Prices are coming down again, but I'd pay up to $150 for a really nice one.

    H&R 930

You are good with the Flitz polisher! Very nice firearm at a really good price! Congrats. I have the 676 model... Mousegunner's Harrington & Richardson 676 .22 Revolver
  4. One advantage of the Kel-Tec over the SW Bodyguard is the utter simplicity. But I would also love to own the SW Bodyguard. Kel-Tec P-3AT, The Ideal Pocket Gun
  5. I'm glad not to see the fabric background. I always wondered if that was a photo of your office chair seat. Not too classy! The new background is OK.
  6. GP just means "General Purpose." In other words, it doesn't feature an underfolding stock, or sidefolder, or whatever other variation Century is selling. It's a basic WASR 10/63.
  7. WASR AK-47 rifles are apparently much better now than they were a few years ago. I got mine from a fellow TGO member, who could hit 16 inch steel plates regularly at 200 yards with it. I like it very much. It functions perfectly. There is a bit of mag wobble, but nothing that bothers me. Here's my review and pix....Mousegunner's Review of His Romanian GP WASR 10/63 AKM Semi-Auto Clone
  8. Sounds like the consensus is: buy a new Windows 7 machine and bite the bullet on getting used to new hardware and software. yuk! I'm one of those guys who took forever to drop Windows For Workgroups 3.11.
  9. I wouldn't drive past a locally owned gunstore to buy guns and ammo. But Wallyworld is near, and I pass it all the time. Our privately owned gun stores are 20 miles away. So, it's hard not to buy some ammo from WW from time to time. I miss Darr's in Red Bank. Come on back, Eddie!
  10. Very very pretty. You lucked out on the great condition! If it shoots as good as it looks you really got a great rifle.
  11. I have been running Windows XP for the past five years, and I know all the ins and outs, and have plenty of software that I like and use daily. But my computer is wearing out. My built in card reader quit. My upfront usb ports won't function. My dvd burner won't read or burn dvds. I've been patching up with usb plugins of external devices, but I'm afraid my hard drive may bite the dust soon (I'm all backed up!). Shall I get a new Windows 7 computer? Or find a NIB XP model? Or just get my golden oldie repaired? Are there any good reasons to move on to Windows 7? I'm not interested in Apple stuff.
  12. Yup, that's it. Here's another photo of the white box stuff. "Hunting cartridges" my left foot! These are just fmj, and no sealer on them either.
  13. No, it's a white box with something like a circle with crosshairs....not a black box at all.
  14. I guess the ammo shortage is over an done, but WalMart still limits you to six boxes at a time. I got some 7.62x39 today at WalMart, $4.97 per box of 20. Nothing on the box about country of origin. It's nice to see reasonable ammo prices again.
  15. Thank you for fixing the problem. All is well, now. Much appreciated. I can't live without TGO!
  16. There are worse places to be than Indiana. So, come back if you can. But in the meantime, thank the Lord you aren't in NYC.
  17. Veterans Day is coming soon, so I salute all veterans. The Mansions of the Lord is a hymn dedicated to all who have served, and especially to all who have fallen on the field of battle. May God bless you all.
  18. "Awaiting Account Activation" screen is stuck on my screen. I changed my email address last week, and now this big yellow screen is always there. I have clicked on "please go here to request another activation email be sent to you" a half-dozen times, and I never get the activation email. I have changed from drcello@vei.net to drcello@comcast.net. Can you help me? Thanks. mousegunner
  19. I've been carrying my 9mm Kel-Tec PF9 in my front pocket for a week, and it seems to be working OK, even in suit pants. I took the clip off an IWB holster of soft leather, and it works well for a pocket holster....
  20. I jump in it! Very clever! YouTube - DirecTV 2010 Commercial - Rich Russian
  21. Hamilton Place Mall is a fun stroll from time to time, but I generally go to Northgate in Hixson, when I must go to the Mall. And believe me: DO NOT GO NEAR HAMILTON PLACE MALL IN THE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING SEASON!!!! Way too much traffic!
  22. I like it!
  23. Welcome from Signal Mountain. The Bersa is reported to be a really nice .380 pistol. Good luck with getting the bugs out!
  24. It's MAK not MAC..... But that's a nice bunch of Chinese mags. Congrats!

    Taurus 24/7 OSS

Personally, I like Taurus firearms. I've had a PT-145, and a PT-111, as well as their Beretta 92 clone. They all functioned well, and appeared to be well made. I've always wanted one of those 24/7 OSS pistols. If you have access to a good deal, why not give it a try?
