  1. The Kel-Tec P-11 mag rattle is legendary, but true! I think millions of words have been written about it over at KTOG!
  2. I like the red print, myself.
  3. When I first read the post, I thought you meant that churches were chickening out on the 2nd amendment!
  4. I found that my PF-9 was reliable with self-defense ammo, but not totally reliable with Winchester Valu Pak. I surmise that the WVP doesn't have enough oomph to also cycle the slide as forcefully as it needs to be done. My review is at: Mousegunner's Review of the Kel-Tec PF-9 Pistol
  5. Well, maybe we will all work at Wal-Mart some day, so be nice!
  6. I thought it was for a K-Mart sale!
  7. These are the posted rules at Prentice Cooper near Chattanooga.... Here are some more: 1. If there is a range master, obey his commands. 2. Never point your gun at anyone thoughtlessly. 3. "Hot" means you can shoot. People yell it. 4. "Clear" or "cold" means you can go put up a target. 5. Be patient. Watch and wait. Don't be in a hurry. 6. Be sure to have hearing protection, and eye protection. 7. Watch out that you don't throw hot brass to the person on your right.
  8. Sorry, your fingers are just too long. Maybe you could get them shortened?
  9. Bianchi 100 is a good sob holster. I like a left handed one, to make it reach my right hand better. Like everyone, we all experiment with holsters, and end up with a box full! You could try some nail polish, or some testors model paint for your sights. Sounds like you have done about everything. Have fun shooting your P11.
  10. Welcome from Signal Mtn.
  11. I don't know what the "if you don't care" is about. I polish the feed ramp, and I also polish the external length of the barrel. (Unless you get a parkerized or chromed barrel, and then I don't polish that. Kel-Tec barrels come in a variety of finishes. I just polish those that happen to be plain steel.)
  12. Whenever I get a Kel-Tec pistol, I polish the feed ramp, and I polish the barrel. The P-ll has been around a long time, and has many satisfied users. The only draw back is the tough trigger. However, since there is no other safety, the strong trigger may be seen as a safety device, and not really a bad thing. P-11s usually function fine without any break in period, in my experience.
  13. The P11 is just fine with the included plastic guide rod. The belt clip is not a good idea. I've tried a clip, and once the gun came loose and slithered down my pants leg! Just get a good iwb holster, and you will be good to go. I like my p11 a lot, and I bet you will, too. Kel-Tec P-11, The Almost Ideal Pocket Gun
  14. Bottom line: it doesn't really matter, unless you have enemies that might try some dirty tricks on you. I can imagine what could be done with such information to cause a person a lot of inconvenience.
  15. "I want a gun that will fire the first time every time." No contest.....get a GLOCK.
  16. Boo!
  17. Another welcome from Signal Mtn.
  18. "Spinning a yarn" means "telling a story." I must be getting old! I thought everyone knew that saying. ;(
  19. Never worry over whether or not you are getting the "right" gun. Just get whatever floats your boat! Have some fun with it. It may turn out to be just perfect for you! On the other hand, if you discover you need something different, then trade it away, or sell it. People agonize way too much over getting the right gun. You can't really go wrong. I think the Judge looks like a fun piece of equipment!
  20. I think someone is just spinning a yarn.
  21. Good to know!
  22. Thanks for the info. There ARE 2 pins over the trigger on my GLOCK, but I DO have a bent ejector as pictured on the 9mm G17 photo. This gun has been shot a lot, so I don't think there is any problem with it.
  23. Yup, just go buy one! Don't over-fret yourself about which one to get. Just get one at a reasonable price, and have some fun with it.
  24. Ah, but with an AK47 there are no emergency reloads. They never jam, right?
  25. It's odd you don't like the "feel" of the Taurus PT111, because most people really like it a LOT. What I advise is: do what you want, and have fun!
