  1. Its why I generally don't try to turn off others from either company.  I try to let them make their own choices about companies.  And CRK and RHK certainly make nice products.
  2. Personally, I'm not a fan of CR. Just personal opinion but I watched CR treat people poorly over the past few years and it turned me off from him. Same with Hinderer. There are way too many good guys out there for me to be supporting the jerks. RJ is one of the good guys. And speaking of, Willis, I know you are big fan of RJ. Have you bought one of his son's pens yet? Matt Martin.
  3. I don't know if yall know this or not, but TN is a great state for knifemakers.  We have some serious top tier guys churning out knives in this great state.     Jeremy Horton JB Stout (Jason) JB Blount (Brad) Jon Graham Andy Fitz     There aren't many other states in this country as stacked as this place.  I'm still working on getting a couple but I intend to have at least one folder and one fixed from each of the guys above.
  4. Ohhh a hollow handle. I've been obsessed with them since I was a kid and saw Rambo the first time. I bought a bunch of crap ones through the years. Would love a well made one.
  5. Congrats.  Kirby is awesome!
  6. Awesome.  You will love it.  I was in Nashville this weekend and Got to handle that Magnus Minor.  Its an awesome piece as well.  I just haven't played with a Laconico that I didn't like.
  7. I appreciate it.  I've got a couple of orders due soon so funds are tight for a little while.  I'll definitely be in touch though.      And can't wait on the pics
  8. I want to get a Q36 at some point.  If I could get one custom made for me, it would be elmax blade steel with zirc bolster and micarta handle.  Can't wait to see your pics.
  9. Good deal.  He just added a new model to the lineup.  His largest knife yet and a smaller version.  They are thumbstud knives without flipper called the Magnus (over 4 inches) and the Magnus Minor (3.5").  I hope to add a Magnus to my collection next year.   Here is a video my buddy made of his Magnus Minor.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNPvu4oU0tQ       And when you are talking to Ray, I think you can get a sense of how humble he is.  Very down to Earth guy.
  10.     Looking forward to the update.  I want to get mine done as well.
  11. Thanks guys. Willis, where are you at?
  12. Made a video about it last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHaCItbmTxM
  13. Here are a couple more pictures. The blade is D2 (if memory serves) and the handles are titanium. Its just a regular old frame lock. Two pieces of titanium and a piece of steel. The blade rides on bearings. Very simple knife but very nice!
  14. A very nice (one of kind if not mistaken) Blast 2. This knife is incredible. Its enormous in size and feels incredibly overbuilt without being too heavy. The nice tumbled finished is carried from the handles onto the blade and really makes this a great EDC piece (its been in my pocket since Friday). The grinds are incredible and the exaggerated clip point really makes the blade unique. Its comfortable in every position and flips like a dream. Its rock solid in every regard and locks up like a vault. There just hasn't been anything about this knife that I don't like. I'm planning to do a better photoshoot and a video on this knife in the near future.
  15. I got to play with the ZT9 this weekend at the KAI booth.  Its incredible.  Its on my shortlist but there is a lot of stuff on that list.  I will have one!
  16. Full tang - full width runs full length of handle Tapered tang - narrows (width wise) over duration of handle Hidden tang - smaller than blade stock and hidden under or behind handles Partial tang - doesn't run full length of handle     Technically, a tapered tang is still a full tang.
  17. The ZT 9! I want one something fierce!
  18. No reason to hesitate with RMJ.  Some great guys!
  19.   How easy is that to remove so the suppressor can cool?
  20. A few weeks back, I took my 700 to the range and put about a hundred rounds through.  It was the first time shooting all suppressed.  After about 15 rounds or so, I started to notice the heat mirage.  Looks like its time for a wrap.  What are the rest of the TN guys running?
  21. My checked was cashed on the 22nd as well (cleared yesterday).  Form 1 SBR
  22. Vic Classic Vic Rambler Vic Minichamp   All available in both alox and cellidor.
  23. Not pissed.  You don't have a pet peeve?  Something that just grinds your gears?   Well mine is three decades of people pissing on me because of where I live.  The joke is stale.  You are welcome to continue to use it.  But if you use it in reference to me, I will defend my city.
  24.     Of course its a joke.  Its always a joke.  But after 30 years, I'm tired of hearing it.  Get some new material.
  25.     You don't know anything about where I live.  I have lived in Memphis my entire life and never been a victim of violent crime.  I am situationally aware and don't put myself in positions where bad things could happen to me.   I do have friends that have had issues but they put themselves in dangerous areas at dangerous times.  I have friends in other places (all over TN, TX, and other states) with similar stories.     Regardless of what you think, crime is everywhere.
