Maybe some people do it because they aren't in a hurry to get some where. Doing 40 in a 45 is NOT illegal. Everyone sure seems to think it is but its not.

Is a trust really $2000?

Knife Rights said we would be back to fix TN and we are!

I'll post up a rundown like I did last year. Section 1: removes "switchblade knife" from the list of prohibited "weapons" (I hate that word. No item is actually a weapon until possessed by a person intending harm) Section 2: Removes this line from Prohibited Weapons list. "(8) Any other implement for infliction of serious bodily injury or death that has no common lawful purpose." Section 3: Here is the current text. It basically just removes "switchblade knife." "(1) Intentionally, knowingly or recklessly sells, loans or makes a gift of a firearm or switchblade knife to a minor;" Section 4: Current text. Again, just removes the blade length restriction. "(a) (1) A person commits an offense who carries with the intent to go armed a firearm, a knife with a blade length exceeding four inches (4''), or a club." Section 5: Current text. This section actually adds verbiage to the current law. "(3) A violation of this subsection (d) is a Class E felony." Section 6: Again, this one adds verbiage to the current law to make switchblade use during crime a more serious offense. It will push current subdivisions e and f to f and g respectively. Section 7: Current text is as follows. "(2) A knife, even if the blade is in excess of four inches (4''); provided, that it is not a switchblade knife; or" Again, here we are just removing switchblade from the text. Section 8: Self explanatory. Gives an effective date for if it all passes. I hope that gives y'all a good understanding of what they are doing here. I can post up the entire TCA if necessary or you can just use this link to see the code for yourself. http://www.lexisnexis.com/hottopics/tncode/ -
I see a ton of people here don't care about the law. Seems to be common place for gun boards to be full up with the criminal element. Y'all can rationalize all you want, but I don't have anymore time for the guy going 60 in a 45 or changing lanes in front of me without a blinker than I do the guy that stole the radio out of my car. As for the cop thing, how do all of you know he was trying to bait you? I like how you all just assume. Maybe he just has bad driving habits. If someone tailgates me, I don't care who they are, I just get out of the way. No wonder everyone has heart attacks and anxiety problems. Y'all are all just wound up about pointless stuff. Just try and relax every now and then. Don't let crap get to you to the point that you have to complain to strangers on the internet or try and blind people or whatever.

Based on the Loveless Stiff Horn pattern is this nice folder from David Sharp (Sharpwerks). Measuring 3.75" of blade, and some thick slabs for the frame, its a big knife. But its a slim pattern as well. Very unique. I like this one a lot. This one was just visiting me. It was a borrowed blade. But I enjoyed my time with it. The flame colored thumb stud and pivot were a nice splash of color against the otherwise utility grey of the knife. This is one of 12 of David's first folders. He just completed another run of 8 of a different pattern. He is going to be one to watch. He is deeply inspired by Loveless so you know that his patterns are going to be timeless.

Allen lives in a geographical oddity. The availability capital of the world. Everything is always in stock and everything is always cheap.

Sand the finish off and go get you some ferric chloride. Do a bath in the acid and neutralize it. It will come out dark and will protect the blade for a while. My primary edc folder is an acid tumbled finish.

What kind of budget?

Oh, and the new Emerson collabs could be huge for both EKI and KAI. I just wish they would make a few without the wave.

The straight part (long cutting edge) of the blade isn't a straight line. Its curved. hold a straight edge against it and part of it will poke out. Gustafa, we'll have to get together some time. You can check out some of the things that I carry.
-
I carry everything I buy. No safe queens here. However, after carrying it every day for a week, I realized that I preferred others more. So while it is still in the rotation, it won't be as often as others.

I've gotten to handle a few Burch full customs and they are stellar. Michael's hamons really stand head and shoulders above the rest. But for an affordable and attainable Burch, this one is awesome.

You keep saying punishment. I don't think that word means what you think it means. Teaching a lesson is not the same as punishment. If you mean punishment, as defined above, then I think you are wrong. If you mean punishment as "teach a lesson" then I have to disagree with you.
-
How do you know that? You seem to be making a lot of assumptions.
-
The words if and maybe are in there. If you felt it applied to you, so be it. I'll stand by it. But I did not call out anyone specifically. And where in all of this is the mention of punishment?

Don't remember saying any names or quoting anyone. If you took offense, that's on you. Wasn't personal for me. Do you know that it was the dad that advertised to the world? I don't. I admittedly didn't watch the interviews or research it. But nothing I saw said that the dad posted it on the internet. ' I'm not blowing off anything. I learned how to not care about being humiliated by BEING HUMILIATED! I learned to laugh at life by having humiliating things happen to me. I learned that what other people thought didn't matter by being insulted and bullied. Everyone learns differently, and I know and understand that. But allowing your child to have experiences that are less than pleasant doesn't make you a bad person or a bad parent.
-
Teaching your kids that its acceptable to be goofy and show affection publicly is not humiliating them. Sure they may find it humiliating, but they will learn that what other people think doesn't matter. If you think this guy is a bad dad or have a problem with what he did, maybe YOU have the problem.

My most recent acquisition is this Mid-tech from Michael Burch. The knife is a unique pattern from his customs that he will not produce in fashion other than these mid-techs. Its a limited run of 200 (plus a few prototypes and 5 fancy "quarter-techs"). Mine is number 72 of 200 (I'm trying to track down 5 or 83 as I would prefer those numbers) and it is marked both on the card and inside the scale. I haven't been able to take a good picture inside the scale. Handle is titanium as are the pocket clip, thumb studs and standoffs. The blade steel is CPM154. The blade rides on teflon washers. And let me tell you, it is smooth. Teflon washers are amazing. The knife has to be built properly but when they are, I would put teflon up against any other system. The next picture is a few macro shots of some of my favorite features. The thumb studs, standoffs and handle holes are just so well done on this blade. Its a great knife.
-
I'm sure he is good at what he does. But he's basically saying he is more of a man or more of a "blade smith" or what have you because he refuses to use 20th century tech to help him make a knife. Whatever. The same thing is kind of going on right now between guys that use belt grinders and guys that use CNC. I say if you have the equipment and the skill to use it, and you produce a quality product, it doesn't friggin matter how you got there.

If you like spyderco, you should check out the Southard. Amazing knife.

This is a serious question. What did them scary ole fags do to you guys that makes you so angry and so fearful of them? It doesn't matter if they like to take it up the pooper or lick some guys staff, they are just trying to be happy and you feel it necessary to deny them that right. They aren't trying to make you gay or turn your kids. Its not contagious, its not gonna rub off on you. Its just a preference. What is it about them that you hate so much? Is it because your god says its wrong? Fine, I can get with that. But chances are, your god also teaches you to be tolerant and forgiving of other people regardless of who they are or what they do. What is it? Explain your hate to me. I want to be educated. I want to understand.
