I found just the upper set of the one that Red posted. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FCK3BQ8/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=WQPW3LLCLH6C&coliid=I2TC64PRVP1PPN I'm going to give this a shot. I've seen these before and they always made me nervous. But I've never seen them used with a top piece and set sideways in the vise. Makes me a lot less wary of them. Thanks for y'all's help

And the state gets a significant chunk of funding from the federal government.

I was recently helping a buddy put together a MEGA billet receiver set. The MEGA upper is too big for my receiver block. I had to send him to a local smith to tighten down the barrel and the flash hider. As time nears for me to build out my upper, I am concerned of running into a similar issue with my CMT billet upper. So my question here is what receiver block are you guys using to build out the CMT uppers?

Awesome. I fully expect mine to have errors since this is my first form using a trust. And I'm already 8 months into my wait that I expected to be 12 months. So it might be closer to 14 months.

Table prices for both of these would be less than 1000 each. Secondary on the Chaves would be less than 1000 to 1000. The Burch, well you don't want to know. Don't let secondary prices run you off. Ramon's books are closed but he just went full time so they might reopen soon. If you can get a knife direct, do it. You should be able to get at least what you paid for it. Yeah, I'm usually pretty safe with my knives. I handle them a lot and rarely cut myself. The only cuts that I've had in the last couple of years have come from poorly designed sheaths. Except this one. Like I said, I'm still not entirely sure how it happened. I was closing the knife and my finger was in the way. It doesn't make sense. -
Sorry. I use it a lot. Its an easy way to show lots of results for something. Didn't mean anything rude by it. I use LMGTFY because you can see all of the results that I get from the exact search string that I used. Anyway, good luck. Those aren't parts that a lot of people buy so most places don't stock them. There isn't the same DIY crowd for the AK that there is for the AR.

Nodak has them. Lots of places do. http://www.nodakspud.com/page2.htm http://lmgtfy.com/?q=ak+receivers

This. The VQ is one of my favorite sounding engines with a decent exhaust. At least if you take v8's and harleys out of the equation.

Do you suffer from short fingers? Well I sure as hell do. I've always hated the mag button on my ARs because I have to change my grip to hit the button. I'm working on a 300blk SBR right now and saw this on aim. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XOWXMR&name=ODIN+Works+XMR+Extended+Mag+Release+Button+Black&groupid=576 Odin Works Extended Mag Release Button. I picked one up and installed it this weekend. The gun is incomplete and will be for a while (still waiting on the stamp) so I haven't had the opportunity to run it. But just fiddling with the lower, it moves the contact point to the perfect position for my short fingers. The downfall so far is that it seems to have a bit of play. I don't know if the threaded portion is a bit undersized or if its exaggerated because of the extension but there is a bit of up and down play where my finger contacts the button. It does work though. It makes it much easier to drop a mag without changing grip and all of the mags I have at home still drop free just fine. I'm in love with the idea. I just think the execution is a bit lacking. So anyone know of any other buttons like this? Maybe one that doesn't have any up and down play?

I have some fantastic friends in the knife world. And one in particular likes to send me things to play with. He sent me these two recently and I've enjoyed carrying them both. First up is a Ramon Chaves Redencion. This is hands down the biggest, beefiest folder I have ever laid fingers on. It is overbuilt to the extreme. The pictures below show some of the cool features of this knife. The last picture is of the lock bar cut going around the pivot. Really neat. The second knife was a Michael Burch (Burchtree Bladeworks) Large Swoop. This knife had the smoothest and best action I've ever felt on a knife. I was blown away by this one. Truly incredible work. Michael is known for his work with 1095 and the hamons he produces. This one has a great hamon. And here a few shots of the two together. The Redencion bit me a few days ago. Still not sure how this one happened but thats a lot of blade. And last up an instagram video of the Burch in action. http://instagram.com/p/k2yZ7cQSbH/

This is a different issue and needs to be a different bill. Maybe we could focus on that next year. But for now, lets stick to the bill we have that is making progress and support it fully. -

Nope. From there to the Finance, Ways and Means Committee and then it should go to the Calendar Committee for a full house vote. -

I thought that was kind of obvious from the "Rich Bitch" mannequin.

Passed the full Senate today with a 24-1 vote. Still have the house as a hurdle and remember that the house is where it petered out last year. -
Fondled one today. Man I'm sold.
