  1. But this one is!!!
  2. I never once said that the system was infallible. I only pointed out how it’s currently being used. I don’t know the system and haven’t seen the programs it runs or anything. I only know how those calls are going out and if an officer wanted to use it maliciously, it would be difficult to fake one. They would have to file a report, send it to dispatch who is then going to verify the report with internal and external sources before they send officers on the call. NCIC stuff is heavily regulated and I know the person that runs it takes her job very seriously. again, none of that prevents misuse. And I’m not a camera supporter. I’m pretty against the nanny state. I’m only commenting on how something is currently used and the only opinion I’ve offered until this point was about one individual’s character.
  3. I don’t know about every jurisdiction but in Memphis this isn’t really possible without losing the job and charges. A plate has to be in the NCIC system for the plate reader to flag it. The only way to get it into NCIC is to have some type of report against it, usually stolen.
  4. Those aren’t the LPR cameras. The LPR cameras are called Flock and they are dome shaped. The speed cameras and red light cameras are a completely separate system.
  5. In Memphis they just send an alert that a stolen tag passed the area. They don’t do anything more than that. Not saying they won’t eventually, but right now, it’s all it does. An officer still needs to be in the area to have a hope of catching anybody.
  6. Handled one in a shop a couple days ago. The trigger is probably the best m&p trigger I’ve ever touched. It’s really not bad. the texture is a little rough for a carry piece so expect your clothes to get torn up. And on the grips, I didn’t get to swap panels out but the plastic inserts seem to bulge and make the grip larger than it needed to be for my hand. There may be a panel in the box that fits me better but I dunno.
  7. OLights tend to explode too and those seem to be quite popular.
  8. Also, no one has ever offered me free drugs. I really thought there would be a gauntlet of drug dealers waving bags of their wares at me in my daily life.
  9. I handled one today and the trigger on it was less than impressive. That’s my only observation.
  10. Depends on where you go here. I get gas at Sam’s for 2.48 right now but the station next door is 3.39.
  11. My niece is 9 and she started learning this past summer.
  12. This could get me in a lot of trouble.

  15. The MBT is a great trigger. I recommend you stay away from cassette style triggers but other than that, there are a ton of great options out there from LaRue, Gazelle, ALG and many others.
  16. Last night/this morning was gorgeous out. Didn’t ride tonight though cause it’s gonna be too cold for me in when I get off work.
  17. When I bought my bike, I was buying from a private seller in St Robert MO. I asked him for a copy of the title so that my bank could do up the loan paperwork. He got scared and thought I was a scammer. It took a while to convince him otherwise and it eventually worked out cause I still have the bike. But caution never hurts. It will certainly weed out anyone that isn’t serious.
  18. It would be me (not a boomer) if I had the cash. I love Ruger 77s.
  19. I’ve always been a stealth guy.
  20. So you’re looking for something like this that would fit the existing rail? https://xssights.com/products/ruger-gunsite-scout-rifle-scope-mount-with-integrated-ghost-ring.html
  21. Awesome. Congrats on a great rifle.
  22. Just once or twice, right? Haha
  23. That scandal was in 1958 and Sam Phillips’ brother was Jerry’s manager. Select-O-Hits, which is owned by Sam W. Phillips and John (Johnny) Phillips, was co-founded in 1960 by their father, Tom Phillips, and uncle, Sam Phillips, the legendary founder of Sun Records. Tom Phillips began his career in music as the road manager for Jerry Lee Lewis for a number of years. He had invested all of his savings into an upcoming 1958 European tour when news of Lewis marriage to his 13 year-old cousin hit the front pages. Lewis' career came to a sudden, although temporary, halt. The tour was cancelled, and Tom was broke. Sam helped him by giving him a job in the Sun Records warehouse and allowing Tom to live with him while his family stayed behind in Mobile, Alabama. Eventually, Tom saved enough money to send for his family in 1960. Tom was not satisfied with running the warehouse, so with the help of his wife Lucille, he opened a small record store and one-stop that provided small, predominantly black-owned record stores with everything from phonograph needles to display racks. In the mid-1970s, Select-O-Hits began to concentrate more on distributing and less on retail and one-stops. The retail store closed in the mid-1980s, and the one-stop followed a few years later. I spent 22 years working at Select-O-Hits and wouldn’t have had that job if Jerry hadn’t had questionable morals. I’m not okaying it, but the outcome provided for me and my family for a number of years.
  24. In this world, having recording devices is almost a necessity.
  25. Can you a take a picture with a 19 in it? I’m curious how much of the mag catch it covers. Who made it? Are you willing to ship if I cover it?
