  1.     It makes me sound petty but I called number 5 in the other thread.

    My 300blk

Every time I've ever built an AR, I went budget and then maybe splurged on a rail. But I always had a dream to do a build with the parts that I really wanted. And ever since I saw the 300blk for the first time, I wanted one in SBR form. So last summer, I set out to build a dream rifle. And now I have the stamp and the parts all in hand. I'm still waiting on the Noveske NSR wrench to do final assembly but the mock up pretty much dead on. CMT Tac billet upper and lower receivers PSA LPK with Bill Springfield trigger job (this is will be replaced down the road by a Gazelle trigger) B.A.D. E.P.S. pins Magpul MOE+ grip Magpul UBR stock Spikes ST-T2 buffer and spring AIM V2 NiB BCG Odin extended mag release Noveske Raptor charging handle Noveske 8.2" 300blk barrel Noveske NSR-7 YHM Phantom QD flash hider YHM Phantom 7.62 QD
  3. Yeah you won't have to sharpen it.  And if you maintain it with a strop, you might never need to sharpen it!
  4.     I prefer the wicked edge but its also a huge jump in price.
  5. Use it like you would anything else. And strop it now and then.
  6. Get in TDR.  You won't be disappointed with the knife.  Its fantastic.
  7. Yeah.  I hope everyone involved in this understands that ProTech makes a hard use knife.  We are getting one of their newest workhorse models with laser etching on it.  The laser etch won't wear off easily and the rest of the knife will have no problem standing up to the abuse of daily use.  Just because it has a number on it, doesn't make it a safe queen.   Also, DONT USE KNIVES (esp folders) FOR PRYING!  As many small pry bars that are available on the market today for next to nothing, there is no excuse for this.  Its like using a pistol for a hammer and then complaining that it has dents, dings, or cracks in it.
  8. In for #5 as previously discussed.
  9. Oh, and I'm fat.  So you can trust my advice on food.
  10. Central is my favorite.  BBQ Shop is up there.  But BBQ shop is a mustard based sauce which isn't my thing.   Tom's is great but again, mustard based.  However, they have the best fried bologna sandwich.     Corky's is good occasionally.  My best experiences there are during their little wednesday lunch buffet.  And the sausage is really good.     Rendezvous is a bit of a gimmick.
  11. I'd really like to see this win.  Not just for 2A reasons or anything like that.  Just simple common sense.  Reading the text of the suit makes it clear that the ATF is wrong.
  12.     I would agree with that.  I don't have it on me today to show a pic or anything but I think it lines up nicely for the index finger.
  13. Thanks for popping in Les!
  14. Yes they do.
  15. I told Les about this and he has signed up for the site. He should be along shortly to throw a comment or two around.
  16.     Yeah.  I had my buddy Pete Gray yank out the skull and put in the cobalt disc.  I'm not big on skulls.   And Les said last week that he sent ProTech a new prototype rock eye so I think there is going to be another model on the horizon.  Or an update.
  17.     I just mean is there a count thus far.  Cause if we aren't getting close to 50, then we need to recruit.
  18. Thanks Willis. I'm not crazy about the TGO logo on the side of it but I would like to celebrate. And I happen to love my ProTech GV Rockeye. Count me in and I would like #5 if possible. If not, I think my GV knife is number 14. Hooray for ProTech. Willis, do you know how many we currently have? I can possibly recruit more buyers if necessary.
  19. Depends on the Forearm. The nsr barrel nut doesn't block it. But I don't really plan on having to change it anyways.
  20. Would that be a problem?
  21. I used my fingers to install my last one. Pushed it on till it stopped and then tapped on it with the handle of a screwdriver. Went right on without issue. What someone ought to do is make a stepped rod. Just have the diameter step down. The c clip is just extra parts. Unnecessary.
  22.     Clearly a failure point.  Definitely going to have to send it back.
  23. I'm happy to hear that Willis.  Maybe I can pick one up down the road.
  24. I got glasses for the first time right before 5th grade.  And that was about a year late.  I never feel sorry for "old" people that have to get glasses.  I don't know what its like to actually be able to see.   But I do know what its like to get a change of prescription and have that slightly off feeling.  That part sucks!
