Defense to Prosecution bill
Capbyrd replied to Capbyrd's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
The bill passed the senate judiciary committee yesterday 7-2. It now moves to the full senate. I will update when it gets a date. In the mean time, please call and email all of your state senators and urge them to vote yes on this bill. -
I tried it two years ago. I was able to get back to my great grandfather on my paternal side. But that was simply because I have the headstones to know birth dates and death dates. Past that, I wasn't able to get anywhere. There simply aren't enough public records for that time from the areas that I would be looking in.

Will this combo work?
Capbyrd replied to gomer pyle's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I'm not sure. You need to check the inside diameter of the rail. I imagine that it will be too close, but I'm not familiar enough with that mount. -
Well not quite new. One new and one older but returning. The top knife is a JB Stout Megalodon. This was a blade show knife from 2013. After blade 14, a friend was looking for one. I sold it to him and he gifted it back to me unexpectedly this weekend. Its nice to have it back home. The bottom knife is from Michael Burch of Burchtree Bladeworks. This is his mid-tech dao model. Scored this in his lottery. Its already found a new owner as I really couldn't afford it right now but its a beast of a knife. Would probably be amazing in the kitchen.

Its a Wilson Combat model. Grips are made by VZ for Wilson.

And that is such an important part of the built. Wise man.

Just Wolves. Not werewolves. And I'm curious who the wolves will be. I'm pretty sure I already know who their leader is and what that means for our group but I'm curious which of the groups from the comics its going to be.

He called them biscuits. And I laughed.

class 3 trust question
Capbyrd replied to Dustbuster's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I have a copy of my schedule A that has all of my items on it. But when I send it to ATF, they don't get that copy. Hasn't really hurt me yet. -

What's the deal with TN Firearms Association?
Capbyrd replied to ron86654's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
As I stated in my previous post, MY INFERENCE. I'm sorry it got you so upset. But I clearly said that my post was because of what I inferred from his. If I took it wrong, then that's on me. I like to think that I haven't been around real lobbyists. I have been around people passionate about the issues that they are lobbying for though. And I respect those people. I suppose I owe you an apology for misreading your post. So I apologize. But some of us are passionate about our beliefs as well. And I've not seen much from the TFA that would lead me to believe that they are any different than the NRA. So I come in to this thread with misconceptions about your group. My sincere apologies. -

Doesn't hurt my feelings. I understand the point of his post. But if he insults the people that are paying him while doing it, does it not diminish his credibility some? I don't have a lot of respect for people when they think that they are the only ones that can accomplish something and that is certainly the way that his post came across. You want to slap me in the face for my inference of a post, so be it. -
2nd. Amendment Tax Free Holiday in Tennessee.
Capbyrd replied to K191145's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I just started another thread on this in the hunting section because I didn't see this one. Sorry. The majority of this bill refers to hunting equipment and supplies and given the time frame of the weekend, I would say that the bill is geared towards hunting more than any Pro 2A act. -
I disagree with your first point vehemently. I believe that store owners have every right to request that you not bring a gun into their place of business. I believe that I have the same right when someone visits my house. However, I would like to civil liability placed on the store owner if something happens and adequate security is not provided.

Spoken like a true lobbyist. The summation of your post is as follows. "Only I can make the difference and your voice is worthless. Give me your money so I can fight for you." That post alone is enough to make me skip over the TFA. You cannot have my money. It will go elsewhere. -
Throwing this in the hunting section since the bill is primarily catering to the hunting crowd. SB0206 and HB0239 seek to create a 2A sales tax holiday on the first weekend of September each year. Here are the important parts of the bill. http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/billinfo/default.aspx?BillNumber=SB0206

Yeah you'd probably burn yourself. It gets HOT! And quicker than you would expect. Just keep in mind that the more you use the wrap, the more heat you are trapping in.

Yes my wait was an in stock item. -
Wraps actually keep heat in. Cool down times will vary with load and ambient temps and all kinds of other factors. The only reason to use a wrap, in my opinion, is to negate mirage in a scope. Outside of that, it's not necessary.

Picked up my most recent Thursday. Pending 10/23. Approved 1/22. They are getting quicker. -
The plan was to do the conversion. And then down the road, have the barrel made into an integral unit. Like a delisle.
