  1. Not really.
  2. A trusted source on facebook in a facebook group.
  3. New offering from Crickett coming in January 2017.
  4. https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/99963-smith-wesson-wants-to-change-its-name
  5. Why did he bother shouldering and getting a cheek weld if their is no rear site? Why get that mud all over your face?
  6. I didn't deny that Memphis has more crime. What I said is that most of that crime is in very small areas of the city. One day, I'll learn to keep my mouth shut in these threads.
  7. You got friends here and you didn't piss me off. What pisses me off is most of the state talks about us like we are a war zone. But the metro area used to be the largest by land size. Don't know if it still is. That means that our population, smaller than Nashville, is spread over a larger area. There are a few small areas where all of these murders are taking place and they are almost always not random. There are some great places around here. But no-one wants to see that.
  8. Here are a couple of poorly lit shots of the moving parts.
  9. Not quite. The 77/22 has a longer barrel shank and distance from v block to end than both the 96 and 10/22. The 96 is kind of a hybrid between the two I guess.
  10. None of it actually. I don't know for sure about trigger components yet as I haven't disassembled it but none of it is a direct swap I know. The bolt components are same (I think, I know the extractor is kinda) but everything is just different enough. The 96 uses a dual extractor setup. 10/22 barrels will work but you have to either cut a second groove 180 degrees from the first or remove the second extractor from the 96. Most people tend to think the latter is a bad idea and former option is the correct way to go. I know you will appreciate it so when I get some time, I'll disassemble the 96 next to 10/22 and share the comparison pictures.
  11. I doubt I would go for one with the deerstalker stamp. A later model would suit me fine. And I've seen them for around the same as I paid for the 96. Its up there, but not out of my range yet.
  12. Nothing new but it was the missing piece for me. I only needed it to complete the */22 set. So here it is, the out of production, not well loved Ruger 96/22 in 22lr. I've been shopping for one for a while and even though I didn't get a screaming deal on this one, I got it for what I think is a decent price right now. I'll have to get it out with its brothers soon for a */22 family picture. Someone asked me what I was gonna get next. Now I have to decide. Part of me wants to get the */44 set. But before I get too far in that, I need to get a spare barrel for the 96 and get it threaded. Or maybe I can get a Gemtech Mist modded to fit the 96 and have the ultimate Ruger squirrel gun.
  13. It is. Or at least it used to be. I know the original XM18 fattys were XM24 thickness so they used xm24 standoffs. Scales may or may not have been thicker. Can't remember for sure.
  14. Thanks Mike. I have another project ahead of this one so its going to be first half of next year but I'll let you know.
  15. I guess I just didn't notice. Wish I had. Oh well.
  16. Thanks y'all. I knew I could find the stuff. I was more commenting on how quickly all of it kinda faded away. I understand there are still a few out there but they used to be EVERYWHERE!
  17. yeah thats a 20 inch barrel but not an A2. And I don't want a detachable carry handle.
  18. Current production is fine. I remember not too terribly long ago Palmetto had complete uppers for something like 399 with FN barrels. Those are long gone. But even finding a stripped upper looks like its a scavenger hunt these days. I just hate that flat tops have become so popular that places aren't even carrying the older style stuff.
  19. Always wanted to build an A2 clone but never got around to. Finally made up my mind and set aside a lower and now all of the A2 stuff is gone. Figures that would be my luck. Time to start hitting the secondary I suppose.
  20. Thats unfortunate. They advertised heavily that it is the "same magazine family" which to me means same mags. And I haven't watched the MAC video. His opinion is garbage to me at this point so I'm not wasting 20 minutes.
  21. Doesn't take 75 mags. Its in the family with P07 and P09 so shares mags with those two.
  22. I'm running a Denon 5.1 receiver (room isn't ideal for 7.1 or 9.1) and a yamaha speaker setup. The receiver was 220 from Crutchfield. Speakers were 120 when I bought them from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AVRD62/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Plus speaker wire 7.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004M4CSGO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 15.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0044YPN0A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ends for the wire - 14.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005E1CGZC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I already had speaker mounts and my HDMI cables. This has been a fantastic setup. I didn't link my receiver model as its a 2011 model that I bought in 2012 and its not available anywhere any longer. All in I have under 400 dollars in this and I use it to run everything. I have it setup with passthrough so I don't use the TV remote or settings at all. I use the receiver to change inputs and volume control.
  23. Hopefully this will show up on a quicker timeline than the TB models, or gen 2 scorpions did.
  24. No but there are free programs out there like the autodesk suite. I think the ultimaker communicates with cura for a slicer and I don't know what file types you can import. But I know you can use .stl. Your solidity of print and all that is set in the slicer.
  25. I'm jealous. I want an ultimaker pretty badly.
