Again, y'all are leaving out the fact that under current state law, you can be arrested, and taken to trial for having a silencer. Your stamp is a defense to prosecution in court. EVEN IF NOTHING HAPPENS AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL, getting rid of the DTP language in our state is GOOD thing. And supposedly, Todd Rathner and the NFAFA will be looking to do away with the DTP language for the rest of the NFA items in TN next session.

A couple of weeks ago I was informed of a good deal on some rifles. I bought two single shot 22s and an H&R single shot 12 gauge for 125 dollars. I was happy and considered that a deal. One of the 22s was a pull to cock model and I have a friend that had been looking for one to replace one that was stolen. I gifted the pull to cock to him. The other 22 was this Ranger M34. A cool little rifle with a great feel and beautiful patina. The bore was pretty dirty so last night I pulled it out to start cleaning it and look at the condition. The bore cleaned up to bright and shiny with good rifling. BUT!!!! It has a bulge. About 3 inches from the muzzle. Numrich has a barrel for 51 dollars. So the way I see it, I have three options. 1. Make it a wall hanger. 2. Buy the barrel from Numrich (along with the rear sight elevation step thingy) and have someone replace the barrel for me. 3. Cut this barrel behind the bulge, new crown, and of course since I've done that, thread 1/2x28 and shoot the piss out of it. What is the opinion of the gallery?

Like Garufa said, nothing changes for acquisition. It does mean that you can. No longer be arrested by locals for possession.

Yes they are are less desirable for collectors. I think a lot of that has to do with numbers and condition. The Chinese rifles are rough. I know mine is. But it cleaned up (bore) pretty nice. The rest I just consider to be character.

You have a Chinese Type 53 which is the chinese version of a Mosin M44. Still a pretty good deal for you!

I know thats intended as a joke but we shouldn't joke like that. We should want to educate them and make efforts to bring them closer to our side.

I like to follow the gun related bills every session and this is no different. Yesterday, while watching the votes on HB0011, the absurdity got a little much for me and I had a thought. "We need a politician range day to educate these people." I know that it wouldn't do any good as they are still beholden to their party or whatever else that makes them dumb, but man it sure would be nice to show them exactly how wrong they are.
