  1. Again, no. This has happened before. Bill Akins spent years after they changed their minds trying to get something. Instead, it bankrupted him and that's entirely on him according to them.
  2. In order to make it happen, they would have to have an amnesty period. Technically, they would be post 86 but registered during an amnesty making them trannies. Doesn't matter, it is not going to happen.
  3. You should find a way to watch the entire episode. Its not just about gun control but also about the interpretation of the second amendment and how attitudes of guns in general have changed through recent history. It's as unbiased a look at firearms as I've ever seen. Adam Winkler's appearance was a nice touch.
  4. Give them an inch and see what they do.
  5. $300, at most. I'd be happy for the mags but I'd have to throw away that awful grip immediately and buying a replacement isn't cheap.
  6. I was just happy to see them portray Reagan for who he really was.
  7. Pretty sure that it started out as a CollegeHumor show on YouTube meant for millennials. I can certainly see it not appealing to adults.
  8. I joined when it was 400 initiation and 240 per year. It was steep but I had no place else to shoot rifle so I made it work. I haven't regretted it yet.
  9. The big private range in Memphis has a similar fee. Everyone says the same thing and after they visit, they start seriously considering paying. Most can afford it and find a way. Some can't. I think you find that it's worth it.
  10. I think he meant what gun.
  11. I've done mine through the Memphis/Shelby County system but the suburbs police departments are better. I use Bartlett PD now.
  12. Optics Planet has a vortex coupon for 14 percent off right now. The Diamondback 6-24x50 FFP is regularly priced at 399 so with coupon, its just under 350 shipped. Worth trying out if you want to give FFP a shot. https://www.opticsplanet.com/vortex-diamondback-tactical-ffp-6-24x50-moa.html
  13. If you saw him, you saw me. I was the ridiculously morbidly obese feller with him.
  14. I’m not great with iron sights at distance. And this 12 inch circle is pretty much completely obscured at 100 yards by the front post. So I was pretty happy with this yesterday. ChuckTShoes paid down some better groups with that Montana of his but I was happy with this. Ill be pushing it it a little harder soon. I’d like to try and get down to half that size. https://www.flickr.com/gp/143717977@N05/j6G39Y
  15. Sign up for their emails. They have some great sales. Also keep an eye on their used case. Good deals in there too.
  16. It’s usually a can coming loose or a mount breaking. The can blows out. With an integral, it’s all attached. Not as much an issue.
  17. Yes, except that's different twice. First, its integral. Its not coming off. Secondly, its 300blk only to my knowledge, which is much lower pressure and less likely to have the same issues.
  18. NO! NO, NO, NO! Do not tuck a centerfire rifle can under a handguard. At least not if you intend to keep your hands. I've seen more than one broken because of a silencer issue.
  19. We already have a case that was similar. Akins Accelerators. Granted, he didn't sell nearly as many, but its a similar story and a similar device. I would bet that the ATF would order existing stocks to be modified two ways. 1. The stock has a knob that you can use to make it just a fixed stock. I would bet that they require that to be riveted to make it a fixed stock only. 2. cut off the portion that covers one side of the trigger guard. From the way that they have handled past cases, this makes the most sense. And rather than worrying about going after people, it will be a tacked on charge or a bigger charge after a crime is committed. But a buyback is definitely out of the question.
  20. Well find a tactful way to express it. We want to hear it.
  21. That's right. You deserved to have your stuff stolen.
  22. https://wreg.com/2018/11/19/mpd-director-rallings-wants-lawmakers-to-repeal-guns-in-cars/?fbclid=IwAR2Ok4h-cOXgwX1zg-MXeJ4DQ59I-g2UcY9WZpQjvnxJsoZmRYpVgPfw-Rk Once again, the MPD is blaming the victim for the crime rather than the criminal themselves. Last year MPD started issuing tickets to people that left their cars running or unlocked when at gas stations and the like. The idea then was to stop car thefts. I imagine next Director Rallings will be asking women to leave their sexual organs at home to stop rapes.
  23. You seem to be operating under the impression that the ATF never ruled on these. Long before they went on sale, the ATF sent a letter to SlideFire saying that they were okay and not a violation of federal law. Sell them all you want. Someone used one for something bad, and then its a reversal. They didn't finally get around to giving their opinion. They changed their opinion. And yet, none of that matters. You are probably the same guy that thinks 1986 was a win for gun owners and that Reagan is the beacon of freedom.
