  1. I love all of the comments of make a 45 or why isn't it milled. I'm totally guilty of this too. I love telling companies what they should sell me. But this is HK we are talking about. Be happy that they are even selling you this. "Because you suck and we hate you."
  2. No longer content to just sell bullets, Sierra is entering the factory ammo world. I can't wait to try these out. https://www.recoilweb.com/sierra-steps-up-their-game-with-gamechanger-ammunition-145411.html
  3. CCI has announced a few new 22 loads. https://www.recoilweb.com/new-silencer-food-from-cci-145228.html There is a lot more at the link and its worth reading. I'm very interested in the blue nose as I've gotten to where I rarely shoot anything fast these days.
  4. I think that's the best possible response.
  5. I'm going to file this one under unnecessary. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2019/01/23/shot-2019-night-fision-tritium-ar15-night-safety-switch/
  6. But how do you know? Some things I would jump to conclusions on as well. But this one, I'll reserve judgement. I hate the M1 safety. Its the only thing I hate but I hate it. This is a big improvement for me. Ergonomics that just about everyone is already familiar with.
  7. I equate this as being a new chassis option. I know its much more complicated than that but I see it as another chassis on the market. And I'm curious how that compares to the existing chassis.
  8. I was trying to find a scan or picture of the original but haven't been successful thus far. Interesting note about the Nashville Dispatch. It was a daily paper except Monday. I don't know why but I find the except Monday part very interesting. I found their listing at the Library of Congress but I don't see any December 1865 issues in the catalog. I would love to try and find this but I don't have the time right now to devote to it.
  9. That's kind of the MSRP I was expecting. The formula in the title basically.
  10. I don't like this. I don't see this being any different than making a lower with an ISIS or Taliban logo on the front of it.
  11. All of them.
  12. Interesting. Wouldn't it be great if you could trust the source of information.
  13. Why? If you can carry 20 9mm or 12 45 in the same size package and they are ballistically similar? Doesn't make sense to give up capacity. Also, I want to see independent numbers on that.
  14. Where did you see that? The Winchester site shows it carrying more energy than a 30-30 by quite a bit. (903 compared to 781). They also claim less recoil but don't compare penetration.
  15. I'm starting to think that we have taken the "AR all the things" mantra just a little too far. That being said, this is interesting and I want to shoot one. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2019/01/22/overmatch-precision-arms-mk36/
  16. Looks like Yankee Hill Machine has released a pretty decent looking bolt action chassis. More pictures at the link below. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2019/01/22/yankee-hill-machine-marc/
  17. I want to see the numbers on this. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2019/01/21/shot-2019-seismic-ammunition-high-mass-loads/ No way that carries much energy. And two piece cases? Are we just making things too complicated now?
  18. I didn't know that was a thing. Those people should move or overthrow their governments.
  19. They do. Its why when someone with an ar shoots up a theater, its not that he is a nut job and needed to be culled, its that we are all evil and need to be disarmed.
  20. Thats fantastic. I love that a framer has offered to frame it for free. It would hang above my mantle with pride.
  21. New manufacture though. I wonder who was making them.
  22. It looks really cool and I was headed here to complain about the cartridge compared to 308. From the chart on Winchester's page, the 350 Legend carries about 900 pounds of energy at 200 yards. My 308 is twice that. But then @stumpy reminded me that this will fit into an ar15 action. So that changes things a little. Unless ammo is over a dollar per round, I'd be willing to throw a few down range.
  23. I was trying to find it too. The only thing I could find is that it doesn't use a proprietary bcg but rather a shortened mil spec unit. I would assume that shorter bcg equates to the buffer assembly riding into the receiver. But I really don't know. I know that some people have done recoil assemblies that go above the bcg and I feel that is the way to go, but I don't think the perfect system has been designed yet.
  24. The Achilles heel of the current model is the mags. Since this is a new mag design, I think they've already made a huge improvement. Of course, time will tell.
  25. 11k new with trailer. https://www.trackerboats.com/boat/?boat=4883
