The ongoing saga of my motorcycle builds....
Capbyrd replied to Handsome Rob's topic in General Chat
Hardly a classic. If it was pre-evo, I MIGHT agree with you. But they made tons of these and he hasn't done anything that isn't reversible. The original tins are safe and stuff can be re-chro*gag noise*....re-chro*gag noise*.....re-shinied if the black out look isn't for the next owner or Rob down the line develops bad taste. -

Russell's twist clutch and no front brake lever make the handle bars look so clean. I love this look but for practicality, I NEED my mirrors. -

I'd prefer that they have some good firearms training rather than bottom of the barrel safety classes. -
As someone who takes phone calls from those very same people, you are correct. And they are angry at the police because the police cannot control these folks. Of course they dont know that the police have likely locked most of these people up only to have them released the next day. They don't know that the police are massively outnumbered. During the summer, vehicle takeovers will run rampant across the city of Memphis. Gatherings of up to 750 vehicles and people will take over intersections with donuts and folks hanging out the windows with guns. The public wants a swift response from police. The same police department that is already understaffed. On any given shift, there won't even be 750 officers on duty. They are outnumbered significantly and still having to deal with every domestic situation, theft, and suspicious call in the city.

I think I'm off Thursdays at that point so I can likely make it.

Sleep center in TN. Murfreesboro Worth the $$ ????
Capbyrd replied to jeff43's topic in General Chat
My sleep apnea journey was rocky. Insurance wasn't going to pay anything and I did not have the money to pay out of pocket. I got my referral and headed off to the pulmonary group. I was in the office with the doc for about 4 minutes. It was long enough for him to say, "because of your size, we should be able to do everything with an at home study. Head downstairs and they will get you scheduled." The initial visit cost me 200 dollars. I headed downstairs and scheduled the at home study for 6 weeks later because they were backed up. That cost me another 350 that day. I'm out 550 dollars and all the doctor did was look at me. That's it. Mind you, because of what he said, I'm thinking the at home study is all I will have to do. 6 weeks later I complete the at home portion, turn it back in and wait for my results. And NOTHING. For 3 weeks. I finally called them and they wanted to schedule my in lab sleep study. This is when I lost it. They wanted $1750 for the in lab study and then I was still going to be on the hook for the machine with no assistance from insurance. I went back and forth with them and made no progress so I decided to walk away. Luckily, I found EasyBreathe. They used the results from my at home study to get me a prescription for a BiPap machine with auto titration. I had to save up and it cost me right around $1200 TrumpBucks to get my ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto. The machine has been great and made a world of difference for me. I have only not used it once since I had it and that was because of a power outage. I cannot sleep without it. -
Well thats a real bummer on the coil cover. Unless you want to sell yours....haha. Good look selling. I think they are great bikes for the money. Mine is a 13 Deluxe. And my baron kit is the plain black look because I too like the smooth look.

What do you think of the barons? I have one waiting to be installed but im waiting to send my computer to ivan before i install it? And where did you get the 1300 coil cover from? I like that better than the little plastic piece.

Decided to try out one of the assemble it yourself kits. Went with the cheap grab bag (mystery) kit from DIY Watch Club. I got a couple of cool upgrades over the standard Expedition kits in the form of a skeletonized movement and dial. I love the gunmetal finish of everything. Im not sold on the band but those are simple enough to swap out and I have plenty of options floating around the house to swap onto it. And it's extremely small for someone my size. But it is a good looking watch and I love putting stuff together so that was fun. I'm definitely going to build another watch, likely a pam homage but since there is no kit for it, I'm going to have to do more research to get all of the right parts.

Tonight is the Swatch & Omega Moonswatch. The velcro band it comes with is entirely too short for my fat wrists so I have it on a 5 ring nato.

Today is my Origin Watch Co Vintage Field watch on a GSD vintage canvas strap.

I'm an analog fan. I have three digital watches, the super mario g-shock which is only because im a nerd, and two of my dad's old watches (one timex expedition and one casio) from the 90s. I just prefer a good old fashioned analog.

It's much more acceptable than a smartwatch. Even with 6 billion scribbles on it. Today is the GSD 3A Explorer on the GSD leather NATO.

way too much going on.

Went pretty nerdy today.
