  1. I am currently carrying my 5 inch Springer Loaded in a Don Hume IWB and really like it. I am going to get a Milt Sparks Summer Special soon though that will replace this. For the money, the Don Hume isn't bad.
  2. I like having the shell deflector even if it isn't 100 percent necessary. Does anyone make an upper with shell deflector without the forward assist?
  3. Awesome! Good deal. My tax return will be here next week and I plan on getting the small one.
  4. Apparently they sold out of the brown bear yesterday cause it is gone from their site. This is only thirty dollars more and I have really good luck with it though. And shipping from Ammo to go is very reasonable and very quick. Ammunition To Go : 1000rds - .223 Hornady TAP Training 55gr. FMJ Ammo [9754EL] - $269.95
  5. Beautiful gun. Send me your trigger and I will send you my three hole trigger. I dont like it and will be replacing but its scratched (I guess. it may be stained) so its not really worth anything.

    Ive got $500

Best way to spend 500 bucks! Springfield XD 9mm 4" Black, 15 round for Sale at Buds Gun Shop $439.00
  7. Very nice! Beautiful rifle!
  8. I was at an indoor range with lots of people but the sound reminded me of my .22 (a little louder) and I dont know the weights but they were TN Cartridge Company reloads. He was telling me that the gun is hearing safe with heavier subsonic bullets. His suppressor was a YHM but I don't know what model.
  9. 10 minutes to have either one of them completely disassembled. I took my 1911 apart to clean it this weekend after an extremely dirty range trip and had it looking like a box of parts in less than 10 minutes and that was only my second time doing it. The Standard takes a little longer because the dad gummed bolt pin is a booger and is pretty tight on my gun. But once it's free, its just a couple of seconds per part.
  10. So I finally got to get to the range and kill some paper with my new Springer. Let me start this off by saying that my only experience shooting 1911's was my buddy's Kimber and I HATED that gun. I just did not like the way it shot. Now, on to my 1911. I LOVE THIS GUN! I put 100 target rounds down range and 12 rounds of my SD ammo (Winchester PDX cause its the only thing in stock in town). I shot the x ring out at 7 yards within the first 20 rounds or so. Much more accurate than I am and I was able to shoot the gun well with my weak hand, one handed, rapid shots, etc. Very nice gun to deal with. I am now officially a 1911 believer. Thank you Springfield!
  11. I saw that and was very interested but I wanted peoples opinion on brown bear. Thanks for the feedback. I will probably be ordering some soon!
  12. I dont see what all the fuss is about. My 1911 is just as difficult to take apart as my Ruger Standard.
  13. YEP! Was at the range and I saw a cool looking AR (painted winter digital camo). Upon further inspection, it was an SBR and looked great. The guy offered to let me shoot it and I took him up on it. Thats when I saw the suppressor and the 9mm mags. TOO COOL. He let me shoot it with the suppressor on it and now Im hooked. I am now planning to build a suppressed SBR this year. I can't wait to get started.
  14. grabbed the chart for you.
  15. Question, Is there any reason why I cant just replace the plug? If I don't need the full length rod, can I just take the screw in piece off of mine, use the short piece and replace the plug with a normal one?
  16. How do you like that Tacsol upper? I want one but man they are pricey.
  17. My Springer Loaded has a two piece guide rod that is removed with an allen wrench. I know that there are models out there that do not require tools to take down. How can I convert mine to that style guide rod/spring assembly? Thanks!
  18. Wanna double your money?
  19. Thanks! I saw that when I clicked PackinMama's link. I think I might just have to get one. I am at the point that I really need one.
  20. I love the GP100. I think I want a 6 inch in stainless.
  21. Sadly I'm not. I have always been overweight but a few things over the past few years made me balloon from right around 300 to whereever I am at now. I need to get that back under control.
  22. I think I am going to post some stuff here. I don't know what though since my scale just says ERR. I know that I am over 400 pounds (quit "Damn!"ing now). I guess I will just wait till I get to where my scale can read me and then start posting weekly updates.
  23. What do you mean proven?
  24. From what I have been reading, it is a hybrid system. Let me find the quote.
