  1. When you get it, lets get the twins together and shoot some!
  2. Is it the one on MRS? If so, its not a bad deal. Great gun. Have you handled them though? If you have smaller hands, the grip can feel kinda big.
  3. I own the 9109. FANTASTIC GUN! I shot some friends Kimbers that put a bad taste in my mouth for 1911's. After I shot this gun, I fell in love with the 1911. Buy it. Don't think twice. I carry mine every day and LOVE it!
  4. Sadly, no. There was a house a couple down from me that would have been a great place to live but it sold about a month back. I'll keep an eye out though.
  5. I didnt read everything here but Im sure its a typical slam on Memphis and those of us who can't afford to live far enough east. I live in Raleigh right by Craigmont High School. The worst thing that has ever happened to my place is a student from the school stole some mail once but was caught 30 seconds later by the cop behind her. I have great neighbors that all look out for one another. If I moved a few blocks back towards frayser, things would be very different. Its all about meeting people. We talked to the people in the surrounding houses before we bought our house. I recommend you do the same. Get a feel for the neighborhood. If you don't like the way your potential neighbors act, find somewhere else because if you don't stick together, you will have a harder time crime wise.
  6. i googled it and came up with this. But this is from a book that is a few years old. 100% 98% 95% 90% 80% 70% 60% .22 Short $375 $350 $275 $250 $200 $180 $150 .25 ACP $350 $325 $250 $225 $175 $160 $140
  7. Which wally world? I will travel the store for one box of 45.
  8. Ill bet I can fix it. Hunt the guy down and tell him to sell it to me.

Call RangeUSA. If they cant get it any cheaper, you may be able to drive up to Guns & Leather and bring it back from there cheaper than buying it in town.
  10. Yep. I remember alot of talk about it back when I used to frequent XD Talk.
  11. Ben, have you gotten approved yet? I keep hearing about SNS and having been giving thought to them.
  12. I might just be headed up to Franklin this weekend.
  13. Call Springfield. They will take care of it for you without taking your gun away.

I havent seen one in stock around town yet but I havent been out in a couple of weeks. As usual, all local dealers will be asking a fortune for them. But...ask RangeUSA to get you a price. They are usually the cheapest in town.
  15. The Shelby County Correctional Facility used to be known as the Penal Farm. It was called that because it was a self sustaining facility worked by the inmates. It is no longer self sustaining. They men in that facility have cable tv, enough workout equipment to stay fit and quite the library. They receive three meals a day (not steak but hell, i eat fast food anyways). And best of all, they get all of this by being a criminal. I however, have worked my entire adult life and stayed honest and only recently got to a place where I could afford things like cable tv. My idea of prison is not what we have now. Prisons should be self supporting and the inmates should be working. Instead of creating a lounging area for them, create an environment where they learn something that might help them out of prison. I don't care if it is farming, something mechanical, or whatever. Giving them a stay at the Ritz clearly isn't working so lets try something a little different.
  16. I meant the scar replica. I don't like glocks.
  17. When Midway did the email blast about their bags, I picked up the pistol bag and tactical rifle bag. I love those two and have decided to get the range bag too. My tactical rifle bag has 4 mag pockets on the outside but the outer two pockets are actually big enough to hold two mags so it actually holds 6 mags. Great products for less than 10 bucks!
  18. YES!!!!!!!!!!! I have been to the facility (back when it was Olive Group) and it is a really nice place. I cant wait. I am definitely going to this one!
  19. The best part of that article. If it is priced around 400 bucks, I will definitely be in the market for one.
  20. I have never had a gun that wouldn't stay in my hand with the stock grips. I guess I have sticky hands.
  21. I agree completely. After getting past the initiation fee, I can easily spend more than 20 bucks a month on range fees. And a nice indoor area would be awesome but I'm sure that it wouldn't be cheap.
  22. A sponsor is not necessary but there is a place on the membership application for references. I don't think its a big deal if you don't know anyone. The big thing for them is that you need to be able to pass the background check. If I got in, anyone should be able to. If you have anymore questions, pm me or post here and I will answer as best I can.
  23. Seems to be a recurring theme and a lot of people suggest a CCI break in period. Google it and see if it helps.
  24. I live in Memphis. 99% of the populace has no clue how to drive in ideal conditions. 100% of the populace has no clue how to drive in inclement weather. 1 snow flake can cause a massive interstate shutdown.
  25. really really fine sandpaper. since the serpa has the trigger guard lock, I have always wondered how effective it would be if you added a thin layer of fleece, moleskin or other smooth fabric to the inside.
