  1. I have both pmags and H&K mags. Both are great and you cant go wrong with either one.
  2. It is also possible that the previous owner did not correctly reassemble the pistol. Get online and find some diagrams, videos, pictures, etc of how to disassemble and reassemble before you start taking things apart. But as previously stated, I would start by trying to manually lock the bolt back.
  3. 500 dollars isnt that much gas money when you are 7 miles from MSSA or 100 from Jackson. Not to mention, after the first year, the initiation fee is gone.
  4. I cant afford to drive to Jackson to shoot. So I joined MSSA back in January. Well worth it so far. Highly recommend it.
  5. It's cheaper to buy something like the CMMG bargain bin rifles than it is to build your own. But I highly recommend building at least one just so that you know how everything works and know how to easily replace things when they break.
  6. I already have a free float rail and my rifle has a mid length gas system. To give you a better idea of my setup, here is a picture.

    Gimmick Gun?

I don't feel that I was doing that at all. And I can assure you that the 5.7 is not one of my favorite cartridges. I don't own anything that chambers it and probably won't for a long time. The tragedy at Fort Hood proves that the round can kill. I don't feel that saying that is classless or reprehensible. Every event in our lives and throughout history teaches us something. If we aren't allowed to talk about it, then we don't learn anything. I'm really sorry if I offended you or anyone else by talking about the shooting as that was never my intention.
  8. GORGEOUS! BEAUIFUL! EXQUISITE! There aren't enough adjectives for it.

    Gimmick Gun?

I think he is only referring to the 5.7 AP ammo. I know most AP is legal since the CMP claimed to be releasing some .30-06 AP sometime this year.

    Gimmick Gun?

Yep. There are always better choices. But the fact that the Fort Hood shooter killed and injured so many proves that the gun and the round are lethal. That's REAL WORLD ballistics. Anyone can sit behind a keyboard and pump out numbers but the real world proves that keyboard jockeys aren't always right.
  11. Let me know if they dont. Last I checked, the Bartlett store had a few. I could probably even help you get it if you needed me to.
  12. No. And thats why I said that we didn't do everything the way I would have liked. Things should have been handled differently but they werent.
  13. Why not grab the small version of what PackinMama just bought? http://www.lowes.com/pd_292952-10283-CE12-BK_0_?productId=1242371&Ntt=safe&Ntk=i_products&pl=1&currentURL=/pl__0__s?newSearch=true$Ntt=safe$y=0$x=0

    Gimmick Gun?

Bass pro carries ammo for it and here in Memphis it is just about always in stock (that I have seen). I think its a great gun. I would probably own one if it didn't cost more than my 1911. Plus, local indoor ranges won't let you shoot it.
  15. Springer!
  16. This movie is sparking some great political debate! But to address the quote above. I have always believed that taking Sadaam out of power was a good thing. Regardless of the reasons why we went, overthrowing Sadaam was good. There are lines such as this all throughout the Declaration of Independence. People who are able always have a responsibility to help others when their "unalienable rights" are being challenged. As citizens of Earth, we should help each other. That being said, we did alot of things wrong and I would like to see us help more people but I hope that you see and understand my point.
  17. Updated picture of mine. slightly new configuration.
  18. Right. Those were kill shots he was talking about. sorry. I should have phrased it that way. The thread about it is somewhere in the magpul forum on arfcom.
  19. So I want to replace the standard A2 post that I have now with something a little less intrusive. I wanted to hear some opinions about integrated gas block flip up sights like these. Midwest Industries: Folding Front Sight Tower A.R.M.S., Inc.[hsh]41-B-L Or should I just get a railed gas block and a folding sight? All opinions are welcome.
  20. Travis Haley claims confirmed shots with 5.56 at up to 700 meters. The guy is pretty good and seems to know his stuff. However, I wouldnt trust it out that far. I'm just not that good.
  21. My sentiments exactly. I was very displeased with the film. I was expecting a Bourne type action thriller but I got a story that I really didn't care for.
  22. I hate it. Most of that comes from the fact that the UserCP is gone but still there just called Settings and things like that. Leave stuff that people are familiar with. I don't care for it but as an end user, I have to make the change or leave my favorite sites.
  23. Actually, I disagree. But I feel very strongly about both drinking and shooting (carrying) and drinking and driving. It wouldnt bother me if both were made felonies.
  24. I would imagine that it will shoot 55 grain just fine but with the 1 in 8, it will probably like a slightly heavier bullet. Its probably not going to be great with the 77 grain jobs but some middle ground like a 60 or 69 grain. Of course, I am just guessing but trial and error has always worked best for me.

    RUGER SR-22

Blasphemy! They used a Nordic Components stock. If you want something like the SR22 but don't want to spend the money all at once or already have a 10/22, you can build your own by purchasing the Nordic stock kit. I like the SR22 but would rather build my own personally.
