  1. I hope i dont forget!
  2. I joined in January. It was not a decision that I came too easily as I do not have much expendable income. But I pay a lot of money for guns that I can not shoot unless I go out there. It takes me between 15 and 20 minutes to get there and I can always get a lane. I've met some really nice people and learned while out there. Overall, I don't regret it at all. P.S. If you join in January like I did, you can break up the fees. I only paid 530 to join. The bad part is that I still have to re-up in June to the tune of another 240 bucks.
  3. BEAUTIFUL! This is very similar to a build that I want to do. I just don't have the money right now.
  4. Wow! Those are both really cool looking. Sorry I have no experience with them but whatever you get, I would like to check it out. Could definitely be a possibility for me in the future.

    10/22 Nuts

If you were on this side of the state, I might be able to help a little. You wouldn't happen to have an extra receiver laying around would you?
  6. Yeah i should mention I never do the 3D thing.
  7. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
  8. my solution is to just click the thread title instead of the first new post box. then I click view first unread. at least then I dont have to guess where my last place was.
  9. Honestly, the gun is extremely straight forward as far as disassembly goes. I figured it out without any help. the only hard part was the barrel bands.
  10. clearing cookies and temp files and what not didnt seem to work for me.
  11. No problem. Hope it works out for you. I just bought two more of them for a couple of my 10/22's
  12. Its called Cosmoline and it protects the wood and metal from rot and rust. It comes off really easily with low and constant heat. disassemble the rifle and set it out in the hot sun all day OR use a hair dryer or heat gun and watch it drip off.
  13. He didn't buy a nice gun. He bought a Block.
  14. I agree with this statement MOSTLY. The 10/22 is an exception for me. Mine has run fine in every state. Clean, dry, dirty, wet, and any combination thereof. The 10/22 is a fantastic little rifle. And takedown is extremely simple. One bolt through the stock and the barrel band are all you need to do to remove the stock. Two pins to remove the trigger group (pins will move out with light pressure). Now you have the barreled receiver and bolt. Bolt lifts out without tools as well. I don't think a semi auto could get any simpler.
  15. I admit. I stole this from another site. Sorry for the repost.
  16. I picked up one of these a little while back. I like it. Really nice bag especially for 16 bucks. MidwayUSA Tactical Rifle Gun Case with 6 Pockets - MidwayUSA
  17. How was your breakfast, you gutless maggot? Did you enjoy your yogurt and your oatmeal? Maybe you had a ******y grapefruit? Well REAL MEN only eat bacon for breakfast. And not just any bacon-- bacon cooked to perfection in the hot, oily innards of a MACHINE GUN. You can find instructions here on how to make your own machine gun bacon, but anyone with any real COJONES, someone who's not a total COMMIE P***Y should be able to just do fine on their own through trial and error. I love the smell of bacon and gunpowder in the morning. It smells like... victory.
  18. there are literally a ton of .22's out there and will range from 100 to 1500 dollars. Personally, I like the 10/22 better than just about everything else. But that is just an opinion. You really can't go wrong though with the Marlin mentioned earlier or the Savage. Go to WalMart or any other shop and handle a few just to get an idea of what you want.
  19. What is your budget?
  20. You can have a lot more fun with a .22. You will keep both the cost and fatigue down by going the route of the .22. However, my suggestion would be to get both a shotgun and the .22 if that is what you want. You can walk into walmart with about 420 dollars and walk out with a 10/22 and Maverick 88. I know the Maverick isn't an 870 but surely that doesnt matter.
  21. I love mine. Mine is the tapered barrel though and I think its the ~7 inch barrel. I want to get another one with similar barrel length but bull barreled and throw a scope on for some serious target shooting. Maybe start doing some .22 challenge or steel shooting.
  22. Yep. This is an incredibly easy job. The only hard part will be getting the hammer strut lined back up when reinstalling the mainspring. The bolt disassembly on the Mark series is incredibly straight forward and easy.
  23. MSSA is the only one. I joined back in January because I needed an outdoor place to shoot. It is very expensive though. My fee in January was 530 dollars and then dues are due in June and thats 240 dollars more. But, I never have to pay for range time and there is never any one kicking me out. It took a while but the more firearms I acquired, the easier it was to justify the cost. Now, being a member, I am allowed to bring guests. The problem is, I don't know if I could bring in twenty or thirty people. However, there are often school trap competitions and other events held out there that are not attended by members exclusively. I am sure that the club would rent us a range if the organizers called and asked but I do not know what price we would be talking about.
  24. Started over the weekend for me. Happens on my phone, home computer and work computer. Three different OS's and three different browsers.
