  1. If you watch closely, the ones that shoot forward towards 2 o'clock are deflected. The rest miss the shell deflector.
  2. If you aren't familiar with the oddities of Mateba, you weren't THAT involved in the gun business. Sitting behind a counter in a typical fudd shop ain't gonna show you much of anything. Mateba made some really interesting and unique designs. It's worth researching companies like Mateba and Manurhin and Pardini and other foreign companies from the 20th century.
  3. We used a few of them as rentals for classes. They functioned fine in permit classes and I never heard any instructor having an issue. I think they are likely decent but the safety has kept me from purchasing.
  4. its not experimenting. Many aspects of your non hybrid Maverick are just as new as hybrid technologies. The honest answer is that we don’t really know. As David said, decomp is still happening along with pressure. The earth is still producing the stuff. Is it as a rate that replaces what we use or close? I dunno. And neither do the real people studying this from an unbiased point of view. Science can’t even decide how long it takes to produce crude. We used to think it was dinosaurs. Now there are some that believe the contents of oil could be less than a millennium old. We don’t have good answers is the point.
  5. MotorTrend and Rivian teamed up to travel the TransAmerica Trail in a pair of Rivian R1Ts. I love the idea of this trip but bragging about how feasible it was really put me off. It was only feasible and done because Rivian figured the route ahead of time and installed chargers where they were needed. They literally built the infrastructure specifically for this trip. That's great if you want to copy what they did, but doesn't help for your normal trips. The other reason that your experience wouldn't be the same is that these trucks are pre-production samples. A lot of people think of pre-production as still having issues that need worked out and with the big three, thats probably true. But with a company like Rivian, that means that they had extra attention while being built.
  6. I do not believe that this will be a hit.
  7. Good luck. I know how antsy I get when waiting!
  8. You thief!
  9. Congrats on making the list!
  10. There are a lot of factors at play here. A common answer used to be that examiners would only mail things out a few times a month. I think that's a thing of the past and most current examiners mail at least once a week. Another factor is just the post office in general. Coworkers recently got married and I found out about the wedding the week before. My invitation arrived two months after the wedding. They sent it three months before the wedding. Five months to go from her house to mine and a distance of about 6 miles. The final factor, at least with form 4 transfers is that the approved form is sent to the dealer or seller. Then you are at their mercy as to when they notify you.
  11. Psshhhh. Smart guns are old tech. Smart Revolvers have been around for years!
  12. I'll end up banned at some point, I'm sure.
  13. You keep on with this. Again, come down here and say it.
  14. Government fails us all...
  15. You must not understand the word amalgamation. Let me grab the definition of it for you. Very different word from clone.
  16. I finally figured out why this looks so familiar. It appears that someone photoshopped an amalgamation of a G44 and an ISSC M22.
  17. Come try it.

I have carried one for over a year. I think it's the best glock style option on the market. I recommend them to everyone and have converted some people. I wish though that Shadow Systems would just sell the 920 frame. I don't care about any of their components. I would take a completely stock g19 in an mr920 frame EVERY DAY! To me, their frame is the entire reason that they are successful.
  19. This is the most absurd part of this thread, and it's chock full of absurdity.
  20. Very interested. Shooting you a message now.
  21. I'm 38 and I get it. When does fairly old start?
  22. I have a Fatboy Jr. I hate the large safe. I have decided that when the day comes, I will be buying smaller safes in the 24-30ish capacity to expand my storage and safety capacity. It will give me the opportunity to more easily organize items and the smaller safes are easy to hide, less weight on your foundation (if you are on a conventional, slab doesn't matter), and generally easier to get into. you have to leave a lot of room around the safe to open the door of my fatboy jr. The smaller safes require less room.
  23. I never said that they were important for "the government."
  24. The list just shows states. The caption above does highlight two demographic groups but that's important as well, for a number of reasons.
