  1. Thanks Joe! I am planning a trip out to your shop soon so I can put my hands on a few things.
  2. If you want to get some printed, I would recommend 48hourprint.com. We have used them in the past. They were cheaper back then but still quality and great turn around time. Business Cards | Online Printing Services from 48HourPrint.com, high quality, guaranteed, folded business cards, business card templates Use the coupon code GRAPHICS20P for 20% off. 44 bucks for 500 cards. I think thats pretty fair and much cheaper and better looking that printing your own (ink is expensive).
  3. 5.56 Griffin Armament | 5.56 | Spartan Silencer .308 Griffin Armament | .30 Cal | Scout Silencer And here is the thread where the guy was saying he still had some of the 125 dollar .22 silencers. Best value in a .22 can? - AR15.COM A big concern for me is that these are sealed. If I can't take it apart, how long can I expect it to last? How can I clean it to make it last longer? Crotalus, kinda funny you said that since Griffin's parent company is called Hearing Protection LLC.
  4. Question, where are you from? It says southern middle Tennessee in your profile and I have family down around Michie, Selmer, Eastview, Ramer, Savannah, etc. I guess thats technically still West TN but I'm not sure. If you're area is anything like that area, then I would say that I agree with you 100 percent. I've seen more druggie, do nothings out near those areas than i have in Memphis and that's saying something. I'm not blaming rural life as I would certainly like to live in a rural area myself. I'm merely stating that those areas have bred some "special" kinds of people.
  5. Within the same timeline though. I originally wrote "within a week of" but edited it. Bottom line is that we are still a couple of weeks out.
  6. You know, the sad thing is, I don't disagree with a lot of what you are saying Straight Shooter. I disagree with your generalization. Maybe it is because I am a part of this group but I think you are way off base about the number of people that fit into your description. And I have heard that, "if the shoe doesn't fit, ignore it" thing alot from my parents and grandparents generations. Something that I have come to realize over time though, is that it is merely a way for someone to make some broad generalizations about a group of people and cover their ass when someone tries to correct them. I could be wrong but it sure seems that way from my personal experience. I will say this though. I am much older than other people my age. My elders have always told me that and I still think its true. I like old stuff. I like old furniture, architecture, CARS, militaria, etc. I was born in '83. I was born about 40-45 years later than I would have liked to have been. So I definitely don't fit the mold you created but as I stated, nor do MOST of the people that I associate with. Therefore, I presented my point of view based on the fact that your generalization only represented the minority of people I have experience with and not the majority that you sold it as.
  7. Thats what I am talking about too. They usually release the OS update on the phone's release date.
  8. Aww sad face! I guess that means I can't shoot it either huh?
  9. Usually, the update won't come out until the phone does. I haven't had time to watch the keynote so I didn't know that about the upgrades. Well I guess I will be getting one in July then. Maybe august. I'm not really in a hurry and I know how quickly these things sell out.
  10. Yep. iPhone 3GS will allow almost every iPhone 4 feature. Facetime is one that I think will not be supported. iPhone 3G is going to get the shaft with no multitasking though. BOO! Oh well. My upgrade is in September. I'll just upgrade then!
  11. Yeah I think the app would need the capability built into it. Lots of updates expected. To the OP, after seeing all the new stuff, iPhone 4 or bust!
  12. I'm so incredibly jealous. I always wanted one of these but just can't afford it. Can't wait for the pics!
  13. I would love to do more for the city first but I actually think it would be easier (looking at districts lines) to run for the House first. I call myself a moderate but I lean further right than left. I have never and probably will never declare myself part of one party. I figure if I look forward to 2012, I have plenty of time to get out and start meeting more people in my district and talking to them and campaigning for myself ahead of time.
  14. Indeed sir. Merely a poem, turned into an anthem. And yet way too many know nothing about it. Very sad.
  15. Anyone have experience with their suppressors? Anyone know of a shop in TN that carries them? I was reading through ARFCOM today and saw where he still has some of his original sealed design for sale for 125 each. Just curious. EDIT! Just saw where they have 5.56 cans for 175 as well.
  16. Seal Pup has been on my short list for a while.
  17. I'd go in on it if you wanted.
  18. I spent a lot of time over the course of the last two weeks watching both our state Senate and House debate, vote and operate and have become increasingly more interested in running. Possibly for a House seat. Obviously, it is a little late to run this year but I am very much a forward thinking individual. I was hoping that maybe someone here has run for some form of office and could provide some general ideas of what to expect. I also just wanted to see if anyone else had ever considered it and if so, why didn't you?
  19. Not trying to bust your balls but there are already two threads about it. This was the first. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/40920-top-shot.html This is where the most recent discussion is. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/41012-top-shot-tv.html
  20. I'm glad you posted this. I know that is Dennis the Menace but it reminded me of something. Clearly your generation was so much better grandpa. An extremely popular tv show highlighted beating your wife. LOVE IT!
  21. I take offense to that. I have not served and probably never will. I am 27 so by age alone I fit into this. Lazy? You can call me that but I get done what needs to be done and I do my fair share of physical activities. You want conversation? Sure! We can have one right now. What do you want to talk about? Slow moving and lethargic? Mumble when I speak? I actually (many years ago) ran track. I move just fine. Mumbling is not an option. I worked in radio for a long time and its pretty much impossible to have a good show and "mumble." I always look people in the eye and can't stand the limp handshake. I'm actually slightly disturbed by people that just hold their hand out there without grasping at all. I've been paying my own way since I was 16 years old and paid for half of my dad's truck and my parent's house. And I don't want anything from the government other than protection from outside threats. I do my own laundry. I cook my own food. I buy my own clothes, food, gas and pay my own bills. It's incredibly hard for me to have greasy hair since I have had a high and tight or shaved head since I was 7. I hate feet. I wear shoes and boots. I wear sandals around the house but never crocs, never flip flops and never out in public. I know what a liberal is but I am not one. I don't limit myself to any one party. Just like denominations in Christianity, all of them are doing something wrong and noone is perfect. Do your own research, form your own opinions and do what you feel is right. Want to take a map test? I'd be more that happy to. There are other points in your post but I would pretty much be addressing those the same way. How old are you? I can make gross generalizations about people your age as well and they would most likely be wrong. I am not the only one out there either. Most of my friends, and certainly all of my closest friends are the same as me. And that is a rather large group. And something that I have noticed over the years is that most of the problem with the younger generation comes from poor parenting. So maybe, grandpa, just maybe if you had raised your children better, their children wouldn't be such a disgrace.
  22. Someone else try it before I buy it. haha
  23. Very interested in the end result here. Subscribed!
  24. Probably not. It's pretty easy to do. I was unaware that there was a spring in there. If you remove the right side grip panel and push on the mag catch, the mag catch will pop out. When it does, the spring shoots the retainer off and the spring goes flying. I was able to find it the first time but lost it when trying to put it back together. I still think I can find it but its going to take some time and I was getting impatient yesterday.
  25. So I recently acquired a mosquito. As I do everything, I took it apart to check out the inner workings. In doing so, I shot a spring across the room and cannot for the life of me find the dad gummed thing. So I called Sig this morning. He asked me how old the gun was and I told him that I didn't know and that I just got it and told him exactly what I just posted. He chuckled and said no problem. He is sending me out a spring free of charge and said I should have it in 7-10 days. I just had to post cause I think that's friggin awesome. Other than the hold time on the phone, that's top notch service in my book.
