  1. It still shouldnt be too long. I think mine took less than 6 weeks.
  2. They cash the checks/charge the cards as soon as they open the package. Its everything after that that takes forever!
  3. I was thinking the same thing Dolomite. I'm definitely not trying to rag on Glock here but even an XD probably wouldn't have gone off in that situation. If that had been me, it would have gone off when I holstered. I always push down hard enough that my pants move. I want to make sure its in as tight as can be.
  4. Gaspains 1911 build chronicles/instructions (Final pics on page 7) - AR15.COM
  5. I'm jealous of the wartime springer! Gorgeous rifle!
  6. not yet that I know of. So that would rule it out, but if you handled one, you would understand my mentioning it.
  7. If you can spend a little more money, check out an HK P30
  8. Yes you would have been better off with a 229. I think its the 250s modular design that makes it so horrible to shoot. BENDER RULES! Not yet but I maybe I should go get one. Maybe Ruger would pay me for it. haha
  9. Greg, do you have an SR9/SR9c to use?
  10. The 250 is a horrible gun in my opinion. I've shot all of the guns you list above and add an XD9 in there as well. The Ruger is my choice for EDC but safeties don't bother me. The XD9 comes in a close second followed by the M&P and then the glock. I would recommend any of those to anyone looking for a great duty weapon. The sig on the other hand, I wouldn't recommend to ANYONE!!!
  11. Dealer discounts at midway and brownells among others. No TICS on C&R guns.
  12. I agree with this. Plus, a check is another way for you to track your progress.
  13. That, good sir, I do not deny! When I finally get my upper, it will have an MOE handguard in OD to match.
  14. No kidding. This is how mine currently sits.
  15. I know this thread is older but I just got one a couple of weeks ago. Shipping for me was 9 bucks.
  16. I've been eyeballing Aim's VZ24's. I want to buy two. One to keep stock and one to rebarrel in 308.

    New Gun Day!!

Nice bubba. Congrats on the purchase. I still need a good bolt gun!
  18. well i ran across a killer deal on the GSG5 today so SBRing that is top priority now. But before I do that, I want to wait on my suppressor stamp to get back to me so I can make sure I get this right.
  19. My first was a round receiver. Now I have a hex and I much prefer it. If you can find them, then go for a Finn M39 though.
  20. Already sent off paperwork for a .22 suppressor. I'm just going to focus on more hosts for that. Although an SBR GSG5PK might happen later this year. And I might buy a Sparrow late this year.
  21. I find that they make a difference for me but I have short fat hands.
  22. Sorry, I've never had any dealings with Model 1. I'm sure there is some info about them on arfcom though.
  23. I've owned CMMG products in the past and have been pleased with both the products and service that I have received. I thought about going with tacsol, spikes or ati for a dedicated upper. The ATI got ruled out because its polymer. I just don't want a polymer upper. Tacsol was ruled out based on price. Spikes was also ruled out on price. But if CMMG wasn't an option, this is where I spend my money. They also don't offer anything other than a 16 barrel. CMMG is the only one that offers the 20 inch barrel that I want. They are also, to my knowledge, the only ones that offer a functional bolt hold open and forward assist.
  24. I disagree with this completely. I have had to wear glasses since I was 9. I think it is a big deal and it sucks. I'm envious of people who can get by without corrective lenses.
  25. TacSol is proud of their products but they make a very nice product. I haven't every handled one of their AR kits but the markII and 10/22 stuff I've seen has been very nice. Personally, I am in the midst of an AR22 build myself and will be using a CMMG upper.
