  1. I am a member on silencer talk and NFA talk and both forums have threads bashing red jacket. Again, they may make some nice stuff but that show makes them look like a bunch of idiots who make low quality items. Also, I've seen the owner guy take credit a couple of times for coming up with something new even though its been around for a couple of decades. The masterkey is a prime example of that.
  2. Haha. Nope. I've never been a teacher. I'm from Memphis though. Around here, you learn to speak many different forms of English.
  3. I am not that biased. I just want to know what they did that makes it worth that much more.
  4. I'm guessing that my post wasn't clear enough. Urse posted a link to a VEPR and a link to a Red Jacket VEPR. I couldn't find anything in the description other than the different furniture that would justify a 400 dollar premium over the regular VEPR.
  5. The only redjacket suppressor that I have seen looks like it is made from freeze plugs. I wouldn't exactly call that the forefront of technology. I understand that some people like them and thats fine. but what did they do to that AK up there to make it worth 400 dollars more than the wood furniture version?
  6. Just guessing from the pictures but they appear to use a dovetail type joint to keep them from moving once in place.
  7. Having watched a few episodes of Sons of Guns, I would NEVER buy anything with the Red Jacket name on it.
  8. Yep! I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eatin crackers!
  9. Indeed sir. I noticed that as well. (Love the show by the way). But in her defense, she is just a criminal and not a Marshall. Her background puts her as the daughter of a bounty hunter I think.

I'm not butthurt about Cal leaving either. But the Memphis fans that I know are so emotional about it. They still hate him and hate me just because I have dual citizenship (UT fan and Memphis fan).

Go CAL! Win a championship that doesn't get taken away so I can flaunt it at all of the Memphis fans at work!
  12. It doesn't matter. But I've always felt that some of the guys who have been into firearms for a long time use this as a kinda snob move against newer shooters.
  13. No these are banana clips. Thats just a magazine.
  14. Call Mason at Classic Arms. 901-757-4655 I think you will come out about the same price as buying someone lunch.
  15. Why is it so hard for people to understand that he doesn't want an extra caliber to reload. I completely understand. There are MILLIONS of garands. Altering one is not gonna hurt the lot of them. Besides, my post outlines building your own from a stripped receiver. Not really wrecking anything there.
  16. Hope this helps you. I shot the Bersa 380CC first and ran some 90gr FMJ through it. It grouped well and I had no FTFs. Next, I shot the Thunder 40 Pro. I tried some Winchester Ranger 135gr JHP. They shot a little left compared to the grouping with some 180gr FMJ ammo I had. Next up was my Ruger P95. I shot some 115gr FMJ through it and the first 200 rounds were great. I had no FTFs. I am not a Glock guy. I like my guns to have a hammer. But my nephew left his G19 with me for a while and I ran a couple of mags through it. It shot well. The groups were larger than my previous groups with other guns but I suspect that is due to difference in trigger. This is a no frills gun. It just goes bang when I pull the trigger. I suppose there is something to be said for simple, no manual safety or hammer to mess with before you pull the trigger.

I meant a 10/22. The way you were talking was you wanted a pistol 10/22 but it was too expensive to convert a rifle (also illegal). But the charger IS a 10/22 so there is no extra fees or legal issues. But yeah it is heavy if you are trying to shoot like a regular pistol. That's what the bipod is.
  21. Ain't is in the dictionary and although it is listed as a nonstandard word, that makes it a real word. It can be traced back to the 1750s and, as far as I'm concerned, anything thats been around that long is real. Congrats on the Ruger. You'll love just as I loved mine. I am a huge fan of Rugers.

If you just want a pistol, buy a Ruger Charger.
