  1. Indeed sir! Although the 77/22 is THE favorite 22 bolt gun in the suppressed world. If you mention integral and bolt together, the 77/22 will come up. I'd also like to point out that the SR series is priced well below the competition and at least for me, delivers the same reliability that I expect from an Austrian or Croatian plastic piece.
  2. I was under the impression that Springer was importing bare frames and assembling them here. And I think some of the higher end frames are made here. That only applies to the 1911 line though. The XD's are definitely imported.
  3. After thinking about it for a while, I don't believe that my SR9c has the billboard. Someone who has one in front of them can confirm but I'm relatively sure the billboard is only on the 22s.
  4. Clearly you missed the sarcasm in his post.
  5. I guess we only need one car manufacturer too huh? or one furniture company? Competition is never a bad thing.
  6. I shot one for the first time this weekend. It definitely ranks amongst my top ten list right now. I just need to figure out how to sell some body parts now!
  7. The mythbusters proved that cussin can help you deal with pain. I believe that the same is true with stressful situations. Cussin is HEALTHY! and gets things done.
  8. You could always call Thompson Machine and ask. Also call Hero Gear.
  9. A suggestion on a suppressor to fit your needs. Thompson Machine Isis-9. It is a take apart can. It costs a little more than the LRP that you have linked to but I think you would probably like it more. The problem right now, is that noone has tested an Isis independently yet. I expect the guys on NFAtalk to review it soon though.
  10. I can't recommend Sammy's highly enough. Its a Jewish Romanian steakhouse. Its one step away from dinner theater but it is worth every penny for the good time that you are sure to have.
  11. I've been to San Fran and spent a week downtown. I didn't experience any of the stuff that you did. I walked all over for a full week and my hotel was next door to a food kitchen and never once got asked for money. You have to do what I do and look poor! haha
  12. Its a suppressor and I am doing it on my own. No trust YET!
  13. that mag disconnect is a pain for reassembly and just general function. I highly recommend to everyone, grab a markII hammer bushing and get rid of the mag disconnect.
  14. A pistol can be converted into a rifle but a rifle cannot be made into a pistol.
  15. Be careful with that bolt catch. It is not meant to be used as a release and can cause damage to your bolt if using as a release.
  16. The mag part only applies to markIII's with the mag safety. If you install a markII hammer bushing, you can eliminate that step. And if you use a small screwdriver or punch or something, you can eliminate the flipping part too. I use a screwdriver or nail clips to push the hammer up (while pulling the trigger) and then insert the mainspring. Works every time.
  17. Just thought I would post this for people curious about wait times. Forms mailed: 2/18/2011 Forms received: 2/22/2011 Check Cashed: 2/24/2011 Pending: 3/25/2011 Examiner: Nicole Dudash Approved: Stamp received:
  18. Glad you got it worked out sir. Better to see something like this fixed than sold off.
  19. Personally, I can't tell the difference in 2.5 ounces. Again, by such a miniscule amount that its hardly noticeable. This is completely subjective. Some people will find the Ruger easier to shoot. This part really makes no sense to me. Small price to pay for customer service and an expected life of MORE than 5000 rounds. Yeah so I can only think of one Ruger that wasn't inspired by some other firearm.

and its been linked to at least twice in this thread.
  21. Not really. As long as you know what you are looking at, its easy. the hammer strut is the culprit and once you figure out where it needs to be when putting in the mainspring housing, you can get it right on the first try every time. As a matter of fact, I generally use a pair of nail clippers to disassemble and reassemble. No real tools necessary.
  22. my philosophy has always been that if you don't have extra parts, then you have done something wrong. haha
  23. I have to admit that I was one of those kids that disassembled everything to see how it worked. I can really see and tell how things go together so maybe that is why it is so easy for me.
  24. I think its pretty simple myself. I took my 22/45 apart the other day to install the mark2 hammer bushing. Took me all of 15 minutes from start to finish.
  25. You need to upload your picture to an image host such as photobucket. You can't link directly from your computer.
