  1. I think its probably your fault.
  2. You know, I was really on the fence about getting one of these. But then I saw this picture. Now that I know I can aim and drink simultaneously, I'm in. Joe, you are clearly missing out by not showing that pic on your website.
  3. I know! I've been eyeballing the 6.8 uppers at that price.
  4. What is your budget? For ease of cleaning, you can't beat the SilencerCo Sparrow. It is also among the top three in sound levels. The AAC element is also a great rimfire can.
  5. If this was aimed at my previous post, please understand that post was meant with sarcasm. Thats assuming that we all have a table of handguns available to us at all time. Some people can only afford a kia but we all know that they would be better equipped at the drag races with a mustang or camaro. Sometimes its about what is available to you. Although, I feel comfortable in saying that for most of the people on this forum, the money part isn't an issue. We buy the Hi-Points because we want to own everything and they can be a reliable little fun gun. As to the stigma, if you bought one, shot 500 trouble free rounds out of it, would you trust it then? Probably not. Because its a mental thing. The way it looks and feels screams cheap, it is cheap to buy, and there is a horrible stigma attached to these guns from the internet mall ninjas. All of that is always in the back of your mind, no matter how dependable the gun is.
  6. So my press arrived at my house last week. I'll be getting my bench setup this week. Help me start working on a load for my Garand. I know that powder is very important in these guns so please let me know what is okay to use. Thanks!
  7. There was an episode of Police Women of Memphis that had a shooting. A guy shot a robber. The gun used was a hi-point C9. Seemed to dispel two rumors. 1. Hi-Points can't be trusted 2. 9mm isn't enough The guy was laying on the ground and in lots of pain. I'm sure his ambulance ride was fun.
  8. My press just got here Thursday.
  9. Iowegan's review was equally as enthusiastic about the gun. Although he did talk about a few parts that he changed. You have ALOT more money than me. I can't afford to spend over 600 dollars on ammo just to see if it is going to feed. I run a box or two of a carry load through and call it good enough. Then again, I don't carry an extra mag with me either so alot of people think I'm nuts.
  10. I produced the morning show on AC station in a top 50 market. I know what I'm talking about.
  11. It's not the djs fault. Djs don't get to decide what to play. The program director makes the playlists.
  12. No worries sir. I was in high school when that record was released and just started working for a music distribution company. I found that album on my first day and its been one of my favorites ever since.
  13. Larry Cordle wrote the song. Larry Cordle and Lonesome Standard Time are the original artist. George and Alan bought the rights to it. You never heard Larry on the radio because he is a bluegrass artist and its a bluegrass song. Murder on Music Row - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Larry Cordle version is much better in my opinion. I used to be a huge fan of Strait. But he can't write songs at all. I still respect his vocal ability but he isn't what real country is about to me. Country is a genre that comes from the heart. George's music comes from someone else's heart.
  14. Plenty of love. I'm an endless supply of loving sarcastic *******dness.

    16" vs 18" vs 20"

Wobbles hand = hand gesture for "so so"
  16. Indeed!!!!
  17. Rampage is a local boy. I gotta support him. HOWEVER! I like Hamill. Ever since the Hamill vs. Bisping fight, I've been a fan. I hope Hamill does well but I'm not sure who I want to win.
  18. I think you mean that old song by Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time. I know that there are a lot of people that will disagree but Brad Paisley is one of the few mainstream artists these days that I still consider country. And you cannot question the man's talent. He is one of the most talented guitar players in all of music right now. I work with a lot of musicians and guitarists from every genre respect Brad's abilities. Also, Brad tips his hat to the older fellas on all of his albums. Little Jimmy Dickens, George Jones, Bill Anderson, Dolly Parton and others have appeared on his albums. Little Jimmy introduced Brad at the Opry. Brad has his roots dug deep in the heart of REAL country music. Brad also likes to include hymns on his albums. I also have to tip my hat to Dierks Bentley for including the very bluegrass tune "Train Travlin'" on one of his albums. I haven't bought any of his other albums so I don't know if he did any more bluegrass or not. All of that being said, Country music isn't dead or dying. Its evolving. Just like every other music genre. For the past 100 years, every genre has slowly been blending into the next. There is no way around that. And radio is commercial. They are in it to make money. That means that they have to appeal to the masses. And the masses of women and children want to hear the pop country sound that has become popular. Its nothing new. This pop country trend really got started in the 90's with people like Shania Twain. Evolution of music isn't bad. It just means that you have to work a little harder to find the music that you WANT to listen to.
  19. Okay here. Sucked. Lightning struck right in front of my house. No damage in my neck of the woods though.
  20. I think the 250 has the worst trigger of polymer wonders. The reset on it is just ridiculously long.
  21. I don't often see 226s in the 400-500 range. I know you can find them for that, but I don't think they ordinarily fall in that range.
  22. Battlefield 2 was the first FPS that I played. It opened me up to CoD. I really liked a lot about BF2 but CoD was much more fun for me. I stuck with CoD until now but I think that the perfect game would be a mixture of the two.
  23. I think that the Beretta 92 has the smoothest action of any firearm that I have ever handled. It is just a joy to shoot. That is merely my opinion though.
  24. You really should try the SR9 before writing it off. I have owned XDs and shot glocks and I would rank my SR9c as tops between the three. The SR9c is nowhere close to having the same trigger as a P95.
  25. Actually you didn't reference anything. You just said the name and an ellipsis. But thats beside the point. I can't control what happened with Sony. But I can say that I won't pay someone to be able to use the internet that I pay for (Xbox Live Subscription). And since my PS3 was free, I am not going to complain. It sucked that it was down but it definitely wasn't the end of the world.
