  1. Roll pin punches are almost a necessity. However, I don't use one. I use vice grips to hold the roll pin closed, slide it in about halfway and then hammer it home. Works great but you can crush a roll pin if you set your vice grips too tight.
  2. I have no experience with parental control software but I do trust Kim Kommando's opinion on software. Here are a few things from her site. McGruff SafeGuard: Family Safety Software K9 Web Protection - Free Internet Filter and Parental Control Software | Free Internet Filtering and Parental Controls Software And this is her 10 commandments for kids online. Your daughter might be too young for it now (i dont know) but it might help as well. Tips and Advice for Parents and Families - The Kim Komando Radio Show
  3. If it was a machine gun, it would only be two stamps. He wouldn't need the third stamp for sbr since machine guns aren't limited in length
  4. The music industry isn't devoid of talent at all. There is a lot of talent out there and even the majority of the mainstream acts that you are referring to have talent. The problem is in the higher ups that want to run the music business more like a car business (if this one is popular, build another one just like it). When a major label signs an act, especially a young act, they generally start forming that act into something else. I work in the music industry and I can tell you, there is a lot of talent out there. Sometimes, as a consumer, you have to search it out. Its not always going to find you. CrimsonAudio is also in the music industry and I'm sure he would agree that there is plenty of talent out there (hell, he is talented at what he does).

    Ruger SP101 4.2

Easy to change it over to the standard ruger sights though and not that expensive.
  6. Dark Knight Rises looks amazing. Cant wait. And Christopher Nolan won't do another one because of other projects. He also doesn't want to get locked into one franchise. He wants to be remembered for a body of works and not just one series.
  7. Daniel Craig will never get a thumbs up from me. After he did his first Bond film, he went on record as saying that Bond should have a gay scene in the next film. To me, that is an actor that doesn't understand his character. Screw Daniel Craig (and not in the way that he wants).
  8. I disagree with your assessment of the article. The article was mentioning the "gun violence" because of recent events. Someone has been targeting Amish men in the area and cutting their beards. Investigators originally thought this might be related. Since guns weren't previously used in these attacks, they were creating the link. Its actually good journalism to include that bit. It wasn't about spin.
  9. There is a lot to learn and some of it can be confusing. For instance, if you have a stamp for a registered machine gun (full auto), you do not need a second stamp if you want to SBR it. Machine guns can be any length.
  10. NFA because of the SBR and the suppressor.
  11. Picked up a Single Six over the weekend. Love it. Need to add some big brothers.
  12. Its 200 either way. The 5 dollar stamp is to transfer an AOW. It's 200 to make and register an AOW
  13. Ruger's MSRP is always really high and street prices are considerably less.
  14. We used to have a few meets a year. I'd be down to hit the range just about any time. Welcome!
  15. Some people can't have enough 22's. My collection is well over 75% 22s. And this one would actually be a good way to get someone used to a good ccw platform and lead them up to a 38 or 357 version.
  16. they just did that. it wasnt there when i posted earlier
  17. Ruger hasn't officially announced it or listed it on their website. I have a feeling that the article was posted a little prematurely.
  18. Congrats man. Sounds like you really have things going for you.
  19. No it will not come with one. You can order one but you can also get creative with tools that you may already have around the house.
  20. The standard stock will be fine. Use the gun with it for a while and you can pick a different stock down the road if you so choose. Its not like you are stuck with it forever.
  21. The dissipator is a carbine length gas system under a rifle length handguard. You get the rifle length sight radius as well. Plus it just looks awesome!
  22. Get the dissipator upper. Dissipators look awesome!
  23. Dolomite, typical threaded barrels for a government length run about 5.75 inches so I would imagine trimming a quarter inch and threading would yield a safe setup for a commander length.
  24. Yep. Physical mail goes to separate places but the phone number is for both. Have your name and serial number ready when you call.
  25. I think he saying the cost analysis from the gov side. It would be easier for the government to raid walmart or their own stock of mre's that would feed hundreds to thousands than it would for the government to take your stuff that might only be enough for one block.
