  1. Shane's glock will eventually be found. He didn't hide it very well. The wind will blow and there it will lie. I assumed Rick picked up his revolver some time while he was crying. Just one of those things that happens but doesn't get shown. And I may have missed it but when did Darryl's gun get back to Carl? Carl dropped it and then ran off. They never showed him go back for it but he had it to give to Shane.
  2. Just picked this up yesterday. Bought it used from a guy that did his own mods. He put a commercial spec magpul CTR on it and it need milspec so that has already come off. Gonna get rid of the CTR and get a magpul ACS. He also installed a Magpul ASAP plate and didn't bother to stake it. I was already planning to swap the tube for a PWS so its not a big deal but still.
  3. Alot of that is sunshade.
  4. What I've found with ARs is that when you do build one with a certain configuration, you want another in a different configuration. But I'm a tinkerer. I play with stuff to no end. Mike, I wouldn't buy either off the shelf either but I have spent that much on an off the shelf AR and I feel that I got a LOT more for my money. Actually, now that I think about it. I think the Ruger SR556 E would be a better off the shelf option. You would get the same lifetime warranty (except from a company that has actually been around for a lifetime) and a piston gun with troy handguard. It doesn't have sights though so add those for 50 bucks and you come in at around 50-150 cheaper than the RJ. Of if you wanted a 6.8, the SR556 in 6.8 has been on sale in a lot of places for 1200 lately. Great way to break into piston ars and 6.8 at the same time.
  5. I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. Just because I have a problem with Red Jacket and I express that, doesn't mean that you have to. And to the people saying that we hate RJ because they got a TV show, thats not the case for me. I want to like the show. But they come across as ####ty people in the show. They claim to come up with things that have existed for decades (masterkey). They overdramatize a meeting with a nobody to make it seem like they are getting a huge government contract (Will said it, it was edited that way). And they claim to revolutionize the AR world with an off the shelf build consisting of a Mega Arms receivers and Adams Arms piston kits. The stuff they do on the show is amateur at best and that is why I PERSONALLY, would never consider them for a personal purchase.
  6. Classic has Bushy's and other brands on the rack constantly for around 800 bucks. Colts are around 1000. Still less than the Red Jacket. Screw the internet elitists and what they say. Most will tell you that whatever brand they have is the best and you can't beat it. Why not? The RJ gun has 100 bucks worth of magpul parts. So buy those from Aimsurplus (free shipping!) and you still come in at way less than the RJ. Plus, I really like the integrated trigger guard of the sport. That will always get a thumbsup from me and I never understood why they did anything other than that.
  7. I likely would have judo chopped his face and taken his bucket while running away screaming about the end of the times. But thats just me.
  8. Ehhh. Not really. If you can buy a Colt cheaper, then your AR is overpriced. I'm not saying that Colt is the be all end all, they are just that expensive. There are way too many more good ARs out there for the money. You can buy 2 Smith Sports for that money and have two great rifles instead of one. I could see the Red Jacket being worth that money if it were built on billet receivers or a piston gun but its neither. Its a basic milspec style AR and as such, shouldn't be more than 700-800 bucks (IN MY OPINION).
  9. Its a highly modified GSG5. I have about 700 in the gun with all of the accessories, mods, and tax stamp.
  10. Thats because these are still normal people. They aren't survivalists or even internet jockeys that call themselves survivalists. They are regular people in a bad situation.
  11. Very nice man. Love that aac upper. I've been seriously considering the 5.7 lately. Probably gonna add it to my list. Probably do an AR57 upper first though.
  12. I'm still curious about that. Herschel seems to have a good bit of property but have they discussed the water sources at all? Generally, the wells would all be fed by the same source right? Just different well locations? If so, then all of their drinking water is contaminated from the well zombie.
  13. They need to be cautious with the gas usage though. Conservation of gas should be pretty important to them.
  14. See, an alternative that doesn't involve killing him!
  15. Your image doesn't show up.
  16. But Shane will survive at the cost of others. And to me, thats a problem. He murdered Otis in cold blood. I have no problem with someone being a survivor. I do have a problem with them being a survivor by becoming a murderer. There are other ways to survive. This for example.
  17. They aren't in a kill him or die situation. They haven't even fully discussed all options.
  18. I disagree with that as well. Someone like Darryl would do well on their own in a situation like this. However, most other people would be goners within days if they didn't group up. In a true survival situation, its better to be part of a morally bankrupt group and survive than to be on your own and perish.
  19. No, Dale had morals. Dale wasn't preaching some hippie ####. He was preaching the truth. Just because you don't pull the trigger, doesn't make you innocent. In that situation, I would have likely done the same thing Rick did. Act all big and tough but not be able to pull the trigger. Its not easy to kill a man. And you are talking like you do it daily. I hope that everyone of you that takes Shane's side is the first to go if there is ever a real apocalypse situation because I certainly don't want to deal with your crap. Why? Why is it the way of things? Why MUST the kid be judged based on NO ACTIONS? They know nothing about him other than he was with a group that was willing to kill (Doesn't mean he is) and that he knows where the farm is. We haven't seen him kill anyone or harm anyone and yet all of you are ready to chop the guy's head off. Thats not survival, its cruelty and it shouldn't be tolerated. You can be cautious with a newcomer and make them prove themselves and thats fine but what you are doing is just flat out homicide whether its a civilized society or not.
  20. Bull####! First, he never took a never kill "things" stance. He only took a don't kill the living stance. And I agree with him 100 percent. Secondly, how does that stance mean that he needs to die?
  21. Someone suggested Academy in this thread. Academy doesn't have a location in Memphis or the surrounding area. It would be useless for the OP. Someone mentioned Bass Pro being bad about price increases. Bass Pro will price match WalMart with no ad. Just walk in, tell them WalMart has it cheaper. They will call WalMart to confirm and then change their price.
  22. Noone cares for your opinion either thief.
  23. That's the same kinda logic that thieves use to defend themselves. You sound like a thief to me.
  24. I like to think of it this way. If you ordered two mosins AND the crate of ammo and the ammo didn't arrive, you'd be doing everything you could to get your ammo. Instead, they mistakenly shipped you ammo that you didn't order and you decide that its okay to just let things be. Either way, they made a mistake. It shouldn't matter whos favor the mistake is in, its a mistake. Make it right.
