  1. Its photoshopped. Half the magwell is missing.
  2. Thanks for posting that pic Mac. I just ordered one because of you.
  3. Very nice.
  4. So where does the magazine go?
  5. I prefer mid length for purely aesthetic reasons. Carbine length gas systems on a 16 inch barrel look goofy to me.
  6. Check my posts on RFC. That's been my plan since I got the email from Ruger. I've already been measuring and stuff. I'm pretty sure I can pull it off but I still need to talk to a suppressor manufacturer.
  7. Yep they seem to have removed the hour requirement completely. I read the Eagle Workbook just now and it says explicitly that there is no hour requirement and noone can tell you there is. What did you all do for your project? For my project, the city of Millington (just outside of Memphis) needed to inform their residents of the importance of smoke detectors. The Millington Fire Department had some that they would install free of charge if a home didn't have one. My job was organize a group of scouts to visit every address in the Millington city limits. I got Kinkos to donate copies of literature for us. I got every troop in the area to assist on a few Saturdays by going door to door. And the city didn't have enough smoke detectors either so I got Wal Mart, Lowes, Home Depot and Home Quarters (WOW that was a long time ago) to donate some to the cause. I think I ended up getting around 300 donated detectors. I worked with the Fire Chief to get a listing of every address in the city. Once I had all of the literature, the addresses and the volunteers, I broke the city up into small sections and assigned each troop a section. Over the course of a month, we hit something like 15,000 addresses. My job, after the volunteers had talked to them, was to go to the houses that needed a smoke detector and schedule a time for a fireman to come by and install the detector. When all was said and done, the fire chief believed that there were less than 5 percent of homes left without a working smoke detector. I absolutely loved my project and was very proud of the entire thing.

  10. I absolutely hate this thread. This thread was the first I had ever seen Hinderer knives. Now I'm hooked. Its gonna be a long time before I can afford the real deal and a long time before I can justify the cost of the ZT knives. But I've already ordered the Hinderer Gerber collabs and am impatiently tapping my foot waiting on the Kershaw Cryo.
  11. .22lr shares a common thread pattern with .223, .5x28. However, in some cases (Walther P22), the barrel is too small in diameter to properly thread so an adapter is required.
  12. My 77/22 with the Mite on it is hollywood quiet. If you use standard rounds then you can hear the sonic crack but you can't tell where. If you use subsonics, you can't tell its fired. Its a lot of fun. The glass on mine has to go though. Its hazy and crappy and stuff. It was on the rifle when I bought it.
  13. Something else to consider. Most bulk pack ammo will remain subsonic in the factory threaded version. it will save you from having to buy subsonics. I've got a few thousand suppressed bulk pack rounds through my 22/45TB and I've only had maybe 5 go supersonic. However, I don't mind buying subsonics and the hunter looks great. I've been thinking about getting one and sending it to one of the RFC guys to have it threaded.
  14. I just meant in your Ruger collection. This is my 77/22 bolt gun. And this is the 96/22 that I am still searching for. I'll have one eventually.
  15. I'm still looking for one of those unicorns
  16. You're missing a bolt action
  17. 30.06 ain't THAT expensive. And the BAR is my dream gun. One day! I felt what they did destroyed that gun. BLASPHEMY!
  18. I don't know. I feel like we could have tried harder. Maybe we should have used bigger guns instead of bb guns.
  19. Jerry The King Lawler is a known carcinogen.
  20. It looks like he may have put a shim on the end of the forearm that allows for less seam.
  21. A guy on RimfireCentral modded a wood stock to fit. Looks good.
  22. I sold my CZ so I should be able to get mine out of layaway this week. Can't wait to play with it some.
  23. .22 is probably the most versatile cartridge there is. .22 is perfect. And if you don't ever go camping or hiking then its not for you.
  24. I'm beginning to think you don't understand the purpose of anything. haha. This is a great option for a truck gun or woods gun. It takes up less space than a standard carbine because of the break down. Now, I didn't bring mine home yet, its in layaway but I got to fondle it a good bit. The bag is a pretty decent quality. The adjustment collar is very well designed, you won't ever have to worry about slop. The barrel looks to be a standard barrel with a longer, skinnier shank. The receiver has what looks like a removable collar. You can remove that and the v block and run it in a standard type carbine configuration. I think its well engineered overall.
  25. Fondled mine today. Really like it. I'll post up more when I get to a computer.
