  1. I didn't get anything fancy for mine. I just ordered a stock Mark II hammer bushing and installed that. It didn't do anything to help the trigger but that wasn't my goal. And it only cost me like 5 bucks. As for reassembly, the key is the hammer strut. As long as you get the hammer strut into the mainspring, everything is easy.
  2. This was one take. I did it once before we shot so that my buddy knew what I was trying to do. I just realized that you couldn't completely see the hammer strut. I'll try this again one day with a real camera instead of my phone.
  3. I'll do my best to film and post myself doing it this weekend. I only have an iphone for a camera and I have no video editing software so it will be all one take. Congrats. Once you get past the first time, it gets easier because you realize how everything is supposed to line up. In the meantime, some CLP is your friend.
  4. Yep. This is due to the design of the trigger and mainspring housing. That hasn't changed in the 50 years that they've been making them. The only thing that really changed would be the mag disconnect. But that only adds the insert the mag part of the reassembly instructions.
  5. Except that the lawyer bits aren't what causes this. Its the elegant design itself that causes these problems.

  7. I still choose to NOT get shot by it.
  8. Sounds like the hammer strut isn't in the proper location when you are trying to swing the mainspring assembly down. If were closer to Memphis, I'd help you out.
  9. Brother-in-law is there now. From what I hear, sounds like vacation.
  10. Nice. I can't stand guys that just care about K/D. My K/D is only 1.24 but I have a 4.0 W/L. It was 4.8 but my friends stopped trying to win since they are 10th prestige and just want to finish challenges. I also don't use kill streaks. My 1.24 is all me. I run support class with uav, counter uav and advanced uav.
  11. Is that a 2.0 k/d with a good win loss ratio or a ####ty win loss?
  12. Mine was 11.50 shipped. I used the make offer feature and just kept haggling. Took a while but it worked.

    Introduction Photo

Welcome from Memphis and Michie! I've got some land out there and a bunch of family.
  14. I bought it off eBay. But its shipping from China.
  15. You might be able to do it if you sew in some velcro and put it in diagonally but its not long enough for a 16 inch upper.
  16. On its way from China. Gonna take forever to get here.
  17. the color looks good but the stiple looks a bit strange. Kinda like a sponge.
  18. On the issues... 2. Check to see if the mag is pushing the slide stop up far enough to fully engage it. I would bet that it isn't and thats why the slide slams home when ejecting. 3. Shouldn't be that bad. Give Ruger a call. On your observations... 3. Yep, 45 is that dirty. Plus you can see the dirt alot easier with the stainless versus a black gun.
  19. I'm with you Dolomite but I haven't been able to find anything that says or pics that might show. I do know however, that the tension system they are using is very different from the pac lite. This is the best I can find and its not large enough to make anything out. On second thought, it looks like its thicker than the pac lite liner. And it looks like a steel breech face.
  20. I'm picking mine up slightly used from an individual. The weight isn't an issue for me as it will be on an already heavy Ruger SR556. I'm also assembling a buddies 300blk upper soon and we will be using it on that as well.
  21. Nah. I'm on a bit of a budget right now. But I'll get one eventually.
  22. Don't do it. My checking account already hates me cause of all the knives I've been buying. I need to go on a freeze.
  23. I saw the XL on BladeForums today and I want one bad. It will be a while but I'll eventually get one. A folder that size is just too cool.
  24. Ruger just announced a new 22/45 variant. Its an aluminum receiver and barrel assembly that weighs in at almost 10 ounces less than the 22/45 TB. The receiver is gold anodized (i kinda like it but I know a lot of people wont). The barrel liner is held under tension from what I read and the end is threaded 1/2x28. this will be a great option for people that don't want the hassle of buying a complete gun and then getting a pac lite. MSRP is $469 but thats only 30 dollars more than the TB. Expect street prices to be mid to high 300s. Considering a pac lite is 285 or more, I think its a great deal.
  25. Ill be mailing mine for the same can in about a week.
