1. Bumping a nearly dead thread but I like to just leave it out in the sun.  I disassemble and set the parts outside in the sun.  I hang them from a pallet so I can move it around easy.  After the day is over, wipe it off and its good to go.  It still leaves some in the stock but I haven't noticed any seepage yet.
2. As long as e-operators continue to buy this junk, they will keep making it.  Good on anyone with the ability to profit off them.
3.   This gun won't do anything that a DPMS, Bushmaster, etc won't do and it wants three times the money for it.  You buy this gun because you like the hype that is BCM or Haley.     As for building your own AR, its a friggin AR.  Its not a precision bolt gun.  Not too terribly much that a guy with average skill and minimal tool set can screw up.     As for the training coupon, I have NO NEED to train with Haley.  He knows what he is doing but 90 percent of the populace doesn't need that type of training.  It would be worthless.
4.
Looks good, but I don’t expect a pinned and welded compensator on a $2K rifle just to lose 1.5”.
Its not mall ninja enough if you make longer.
5. I don't see anything special about this. Nothing you can't piece together yourself.
6. If it was a kinda squared off shape then it was an Osprey. If it was round, it was a Maxim style from YHM but those have been discontinued I think.
7.
Chibs will move to the left, Tig will be back at the right. I thought it was clean how it all came together. Almost too perfect. I have a feeling next season will be the last.
Kurt Sutter says 2 more seasons.
8. Ill be interested to see how these hold up. I'm sure they will be fine but the one I played with in the store just seemed flimsy. Like when you cycle the bolt, the bolt is wobbly and hangs down. Nothing like my 700 that is solid, no matter where the bolt is. I like the concept, a lot! But I would rather see it from Remington. Or maybe a Ruger Gunsite .223.

10. Are those the Seekins rings? I was thinking of those for my 700. They look BEEFY!
11. From top to bottom the folders are the Prototype (no name yet), XM-18 3.5" recurve and XM-18 3.5" spanto. The fixed blade is a Flashpoint.
12. A friend from another knife forum and I got together this weekend and I took a few pics. I was outside at a restaurant so please forgive the makeshift background. The proto and recurve are my friend's. The spanto and Flashpoint are mine. Couple of observations: The prototype feels enormous in hand. It feels a lot bigger than it really is. And I like that. It fills the hand and gives confidence that its not going anywhere. Yet its not much larger than a 3.5 XM-18. The recurve is my favorite grind right now. There is literally nothing that I don't like about that grind (except maybe sharpening it). Non Hinderer, he also had a Terzuola there that I really liked. The blade on this knife has a really classy, classic look to it. Great knife.
13. Yes. But negligibly. It's a small increase. But basically, the suppressor still fills up and acts as a barrel extension giving a slight increase in velocity. Integrals are different as they often have porting to bleed a projectile down to subsonic velocities but that's the exception.
14. Pending 6/5, problem status 9/27, problem status again 11/2, Approved 11/14. Geez, I hate problem status.
15. Yep. I got one section that had a shoestring inside. As for the scales, the izula is a different size. And I'm not positive which way it works but they can be modified to fit each other.
16. Great choice and good work on the paracord. Although, I highly recommend staying away from Amazon for the cord. I learned the hard way that it isn't all what it seems. I recommend SupplyCaptain for cord. Best selection of colors, great prices and fast shipping.
17. Yeah they do. And I'm sure some other manufacturers do as well.
18.
AFIK, nothing in the gun world is made special for Wally. Lots of AR's around town at real gun stores. You might want to hunt around some. The TGO vendors are a great place to start.
There are some models that are Wally exclusives. Like the Wally World Special 10/22. Only place you could get the long barreled version.
19.
If you're really concerned with protecting your hearing, you'll need to run some tests, or at the very least look at the manufacturer's numbers. Keep in mind anything about 120dBSPL can (generally will) cause instantaneous damage to your hearing - this doesn't mean immediate noticeable loss of hearing, but hearing loss is cumulative, so at the very LEAST I recommend keeping the exposure to instantaneous sounds to <100dBSPL. I don't think I've ever seen a suppressor capable of more than about 30-35dB NR, which means you would realistically need ~20dB of extra protection with a typical firearm (most of which generate somewhere in the neighborhood of 150dBSPL). For example, when I'm shooting (I don't have any suppressors), I wear 33dB NR plugs with some 25dB over-the-ear muffs. This combination yields enough protection that I can shoot everything I own for hours with no damage. I'd LOVE to shoot with nothing on my head, but it's just not practical for someone who wishes to protect their hearing. May not seem like a big deal now, but in 20 years when you have tinnitus and struggle to keep up with conversations, you'll wish you were aggressive in protecting your ears...
My parents always said that I have selective hearing. I can just use that to tune out the gun shots and I'll be fine right?
20. That doesn't look very gold.
21. I just sent him a message on facebook asking him to send me the contact info he wants to give you. I've dealt with him through the Atwood Toolbook on Facebook and through USN.
22. I've got a kydex guy that I like but he lives in Cali. If he doesn't have the items you are wanting to use, you would have to send them but his turnaround is great.
Hey guys, I've been taking custom orders for Kydex work on Facebook now for a little while... Figured I'd offer over here for anyone needing any work. I can turn around orders normally overnight depending on size and complexity. (Unless you're putting in a large quantity order - which we can discuss) Here's samples of some of the belt/neck sheath work I've done. PM me if you need anything made, thanks! Sorry for all the pics. =) Edit: Adding a couple pics. Edit 2: Horton Shawty Fixxie Belt Sheath Edit 3: JRP Backspacer (Kydex sandwiched between moonglow) & Spyderco Techno Backspacer (Moonglow) Edit 4: Moonglow/Black G10 sculpted scales and sheath for Horton Shawty Fixxie.

23. Usually takes about a month to go pending. Check back next week.
24. You should actually see it soon. Mine went pending on June 5th and would have been approved already but there were two errors so its been sent back to me twice now.
