  1.     I think part of the confusion in this case is the Form 1.  Maybe this will help.  The Form 1 is an application to make and register a firearm.  Since the gun you are buying is already a completed firearm, ignore the first part and just go with "register."   The NFA is a registry of SBRs, SBSs, suppressors, machine guns and destructive devices.  You are filling out a Form 1 to add a new SBR to the registry.     If an item is already in the registry, it will transfer on a Form 3 (tax exempt between dealers), Form 4 (tax paid transfer, generally to final owner) or a Form 5 (tax exempt transfer, generally an inheritance).     Hope that helps a little bit.
  2. Its my understanding that Thomas and Chris had been friendly ribbing each other all weekend.  I don't think it was meant maliciously.  Regardless, Thomas and Chris are both great guys.     And Chris' people certainly build a fantastic product, even if his attitude leaves a bit to be desired.
  3. Nope.  They just started shipping early this month.  Only a couple hundred have gone out so far.   Honestly, I can't drop coin on one just yet.  With Blade coming up, the Kendrick/Horton collab lotteries and another big purchase, I'm spread too thin already.
  4. It means they moved the bill to next week's calendar. The bill sponsor likely had a scheduling conflict and couldn't make it to the meeting today to present.
  5.     Well familiar with Dave.  I've bought from him several times.  And all of my friends do as well.  I didn't think he had any 777s though.
  6. Speaking of which, who do I need to kill (figuratively) to get my hands on a 777.  I hate that I didn't get on a preorder for one.  Have you have the chance to fondle one?
  7. 10:00 AM tomorrow.  Use this link to pull up the video.       http://wapp.legislature.state.tn.us/apps/videowrapper/default.aspx?CommID=850010
  8. You may win in court but a cop can easily say you intended to go armed and then you have to deal with it.  Its easiest to just leave the knife in the car at that point.
  9. The Sparrow has great sound reduction but where it truly excels is ease of cleaning.  Thats an important factor.  As someone that just had to use a vice and some homemade tools to take apart his 22 can, trust me, takedown ability should never be undervalued.
  10. I've been updating the thread every step of the way.  The bill passed the Senate a couple of weeks ago.  The house version then begun its journey starting with the Criminal Justice Subcommittee and then this week was heard and passed unopposed by the Criminal Justice Committee.     It is now on the calendar for the House Finance, Ways and Means committee on 3/27/2013.
  11.       And thats what they are working on.  Doing away with it almost completely.
  12. Thats an exclusive.  You aren't going to find it anywhere else.  Brand: KNIVES LIVE TV EXCLUSIVES  CMBKJG2
  13. Check out the boker line or protech line.  I would hold off on getting one until it passes though.         As an update, its now on the calendar for 3/27/2013.
  14.   Thats actually a great question and one that I don't know the answer to.  I'm sure that they have to run it through just to see the fiscal effects.
  15. Passed the Criminal Justice committe. Now on to Finance, Ways and Means.
  16. Other than fingerprints and CLEO signature, which aren't really that hard here in Shelby County, the process is no more inconvenient, time consuming or mind numbing.
  17. Go on...
  18. House Criminal Justice SubCommittee passed it today to full committee.
  19. House Criminal Justice sub committee is in session right now.  Its currently on the agenda for today.
  20. So far, everything I have seen sell has been less than 600.  For example, the last Blast that he listed publicly was a jade g10 model for $540.      Sorry for the hijack!
  21. I have seen and handled some of his collabs and some of his customs. I've been nothing but impressed. As for Laconico, this is a picture of the knives he took to Pasadena this past weekend. This covers his four folder models. The knife to the far right is the slim EDC. If memory serves, it was his first folder model. The brown one, I'm not sure about. the next two are Jasmines I believe and then the rest are his Blast model. For me, I'm dying to get my hands on a Blast.
  22. The Rat is a great folder and if you need something smaller, this will no doubt be a great knife for you.
  23. Thanks guys. I'm really fond of it. I just need a folder to go with it now. B
