  1. This is the one that I bought.    667-700-SA-20-6
  2. I have a seekins rail on my SD. The scope was free so it doesn't matter. Its going to be replaced down the road.
  3. You're doing it wrong. Both rifles are hers but she can only shoot one at a time so you get to "borrow" the second one. Oh, you're wallet and genitalia also belong to her. Sorry!
  4. Wow. So confusion caused by me. Sorry. My fingers were working faster than my brain. I was not referring to palmetto state. I was talking about Patriot Defense Arms. Stupid typo.
  5. You can have my happy meal.  All I want is the toy!   Remember when Happy Meals just had toys in them?  Before there were boy toys and girls toys...
  6. But this thread is specifically about a bill dealing with only knife issues.  The lobbyists posting here work for knife organizations.  That is question that is better posed to the NRA or in a different part of the forum.
  7. Those are all great questions to ask in a KNIFE thread.
  8. Knife rights.  Here is a link to join.    http://www.kniferights.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=52&Itemid=39
  9.     They closed their store front and don't answer any of my calls or emails.  I've written them.  I ran a group buy with them last year.  One of the lowers I got, when I finally got around to putting it together, the front takedown pin holes are slightly out of spec.  I wanted to see if they could suggest something but I can't get in touch with anyone.
  10.     I didn't sign up to run a group buy.  Did it once and I regret every second of it.   I merely answered the question that the poll asked and gave my reasoning.   As for manufacturers, I have no idea.  PSA is out of business as far as I know.  CMT Tac is probably at capacity already.  Have you contacted Medic Firearms?  He might be willing to do something and shouldn't be overrun with orders yet as his FFL is still a little fresh.  The guy above me suggested Mohawk.   Actually, this brings up another question.  Could there be a database somewhere on the site of firearms manufacturers in the state?  A homegrown directory if you will...
  11. I'd be in for two if the lowers are from CMT or some other TN company.   If they are out of state, I dunno.  I have lowers already.  It would be cool to have a TN made lower that represented a group of TN guys and gals.  Not sure I need another right now otherwise.  We will see.   Waiting on info I suppose.
  12.     I'd rather not settle for half my rights.     Someone comes to your house, steals everything you own.  You go over and take back your clothes but they won't let you have anything else back.     "Ehh, its good enough.  At least I got something back."       Sorry, doesn't work for me.
  13.     Kilo, GL addressed your question previously.
  14.   That was never on the table.  There was never a bill or a suggestion that had the ban repealed without the pre-emption clause.  Was never going to happen.             This should never be considered.  If we allow this to happen, its like saying we are okay with only having half our rights.  We should fight for everything even if it takes a few years.
  15.   But that was never on the table.  Not really an accurate way to look at it in my opinion.
  16.     They are glass half full kinda guys but in my opinion, the correct answer to your question is as follows.  Depending on where you live, nothing.  Most of the state does not have any law on the books for knives.  Less than 5 local governments that I know of have something on the books.  So for the majority of this state, the answer is NOTHING.         But don't let that detract from the overall progress that was made.  At the very least, we found out who the opposition is and will be better prepared next year.   And by the way, saying "next year" hurts my soul a little.
  17. Thanks for the update today.  I've been too busy today to pay attention.
  18. Actually I kind of support this one.           The burden on the state would be to prove unlawful transaction and if they can sufficiently prove that, then I'm okay with both parties being charged with the crime.  I'll have to think this through a little more but my initial response is that it ain't all that bad!
  19. Bill passed Calendar & Rules and is on the schedule for Full House Tuesday 4/16/2013
  20. The neutered bill is in Calendar & Rules today at 3 (18 minutes from the time of this posting).
  21. I wish I could write as elegantly and intelligently as kilo five.
  22. Yes.  Paperwork is sent to the transferor!
  23.     I'm glad you see it that way.  I was going to respond very similarly to his post.  Its important that we DO NOT cave and accept half of what should be law.  If we do, there will never be a way to get the rest in the immediate future.           As for the rest of your reply.  I rewatched it today and Rep. Dennis was obviously upset and likely because of the compromise.  But I have a few questions for you.         1.  Did you anticipate that the TSA might be a hurdle to getting this passed?  2.  If so, were you just trying to sneak this past them?   Why didn't we approach the TSA and try to get their support for this before going to congress with it?    it seems like this part could have been handled better rather than being blindsided in two steps away from the governor's desk.
  24. Strider designs.  Cool blades!  Good score!
  25.     As amended, this is the only remaining part of the bill.   Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 39-17-1314, is amended by adding the following new subsection: (e) It is the intent of the general assembly that this part is preemptive with respect to the transfer, ownership, possession or transportation of knives and no city, county, or metropolitan government shall occupy any part of the field of regulation of the transfer, ownership, possession or transportation of knives.     I don't think there are laws against knives in parks but I could be wrong.  And I don't know if the above wording would preempt local legislation or not.
